You believe the sky is the limit for your child. At St. Paul’s Plus, so do we. Your child is intelligent, curious, and fun-loving. At St. Paul’s Plus, we strive to develop the unique potential of each child—intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our goal is to create a positive and nurturing atmosphere where your son or daughter will feel safe to explore and learn. We know children learn by doing
and interacting with their environment, which is why our program challenges and supports active learning based on each child’s developmental stages. Our approach will give your child the security, stimulation, enrichment, and love needed to develop a positive sense of self. Because Plus is part of a larger campus, we have access to a plethora of resources and opportunities that separate us from all other early childhood centers. We are dedicated not only to the growth of the whole child, but to our families. Partnering with parents is a vital part of our school.
Staying connected: A quick peek into your child’s day…and year. We know it is not easy to leave your child each day. You wonder how they are and what they are doing. St. Paul’s Plus nurtures the development of emotional and social independence and provides parents with a vivid picture of their child’s educational journey.
A snapshot of your child’s day When you come to pick up your son or daughter, you will see monitors outside each classroom that display photos and details of the activities from your child’s day. Parents can use this information as a springboard to discuss with their child what they did at school and as an opportunity to partner with Plus.
Documenting daily activities Daily, you will receive a detailed report with specific information and photos of your child’s day. This, along with at least three parent–teacher conferences per year, keeps you connected and informed about your child’s progress.
Your child’s year in review At the end of each year, a portfolio full of photos, artwork, and notable assignments paints a portrait of your child’s development at Plus. This book not only gives you an excellent illustration of the growth throughout the year, but becomes a precious keepsake.
Infants:
A safe, nurturing environment for your child St. Paul’s Plus provides a safe and loving environment to nurture healthy attachments and your infant’s social and emotional development, offering the support needed to begin reaching out and exploring the world. We know that a secure and caring educational experience is important to you, as well as your child’s personal growth. Our teachers work with parents to develop each child’s daily routines, including the optimal schedule for naps and feedings.
Toddlers:
Exploring and discovering a magnificent world Toddlers are full of curiosity, which is why we foster inquiry and creativity. Through a flexible daily schedule that includes circle time, art, story time, and outdoor play, children are presented with a rich variety of sensory experiences to feed their eager curiosities and satisfy their cognitive growth. As toddlers begin developing a sense of independence and learning the limits of their own bodies, our teachers guide them through activities that strengthen and support their abilities to communicate. Additionally, our toddlers enjoy weekly music, Spanish, and creative movement classes led by professional educators.
2s:
Socializing, sharing and shaping interests At this age, children transition from individualized play to more frequent group interaction. Within these groups, St. Paul’s Plus teaches your son or daughter about sharing, taking turns, leading and following, and showing respect for others. Within their own bright and cheery classrooms, our teachers guide your child through play-based lessons that develop sensory skills, language acquisition, and math concepts. Outside play, dancing, creative movement, and other activities will help your child learn to make intelligent decisions and discover their personal interests.
3s:
A playful approach to learning St. Paul’s Plus continues to build your child’s foundation of language and math skills, nurturing early literacy and introducing concepts of number recognition, patterns, and shapes. Our curriculum enables children to discover their creative interests through art and music projects, while exploring new subject areas like science, world cultures, and religion. We also leave plenty of time for interactive play and learning in our indoor and outdoor classrooms. Using every opportunity to nurture personal and social development, we will help your child grow a positive sense of self by being an active and compassionate member of the class.
Pre-K:
Opening up a new world and providing a strong foundation for Kindergarten Building upon early reading and math skills, your child’s vocabulary will expand, their handwriting will develop, and they will become better listeners and learners. Through hands-on lessons in science and social studies, your child will have a greater awareness of the world. Our curriculum introduces new themes and activities that broaden connections to other cultures. Pre-K learning occurs indoors and outdoors, in large and small groups, and in shared and
independent settings. At Plus, we educate for character by advancing social and emotional learning through cooperation in play, sharing, and an environment of respect. Children develop problem-solving skills and attain a positive selfidentity, a sense of self-control, and a strong foundation in math, language, and literacy. Your son or daughter will be well prepared and confident as they move on into Kindergarten.
