Attempted category 2 burn rate at primary air setting of 5 mm open. Observed burn rate of 1.28 kg/hr (category 3). No sampling anomalies occurred, so this test run is valid for inclusion in the weighted average.
Run 3 -
Attempted category 2 burn rate at primary air setting of 4 mm open. Observed burn rate of 1.07 kg/hr (category 2). No sampling anomalies occurred, so this test run is valid for inclusion in the weighted average.
Run 4 -
Attempted category 4 burn rate at with primary air control fully open. Observed burn rate of 2.51 kg/hr (category 4). No sampling anomalies occurred, so this test run is valid for inclusion in the weighted average.
Run 5 -
Attempted category 1 burn rate at primary air setting of 3 mm open. Ceased combustion as evidenced by 30 minutes elapsed with no measureable weight change. See Section 4 for complete data.
Run 6 -
Attempted category 1 burn rate at primary air setting of 5 mm open. Smaller pretest fuel charge used in order to compensate for higher air setting by creating a cooler average surface temperature at test start. Observed burn rate of 1.28 kg/hr (category 3). Agreement between sampling trains was out of acceptable tolerance, so this test run is not valid for inclusion in the weighted average.
Run 7 -
Attempted category 1 burn rate at primary air setting of 3mm open. The primary air setting was the same as that used for run 5, but a slightly less dense test fuel charge was used in order to prevent ceased combustion. Observed burn rate of 0.87 kg/hr (category 2). Burn rate below 1.00 kg/hr is acceptable for stove unable to operate below 0.80 kg/hr. Primary air setting of 3 mm will be the minimum for production units. No sampling anomalies occurred, so this test run is valid for inclusion in the weighted average.
