Raintree Country Club Member Newsletter

The Cart Path renovation project is underway and moving along. We should be moving to the other 9 holes of the South Course soon and working towards the North Course after the first of the year. Thank you to everyone for their continued patience, as this project affects quite a bit around the Club.
We have had a terrific year, and the Club is continuing to thrive and move forward, and with this, we have been able to start projects such as the cart paths. The growth and improvement of our Club are only possible with the support and commitment of our Members, and I thank each of you for being such a special Membership and being a part of Raintree Country Club.

At the RSMGA annual meeting on Nov. 2, President Pete Marco announced several new events for next year. “We are going to conduct a season-long match play event for RSMGA members with a modest entry fee,” Marco said. “We also will initiate a Player of the Year Award based on overall performance in weekly events and Omega matches. And we are developing plans for a Most Improved Player award.” Marco said the RSMGA Board will work out details for each new event and inform the membership prior to the start of competition in January. Marco appointed a committee to look into creating an RSMGA charity event with proceeds to go to local non-profits.
Marco also reported that the temporary bylaws changes for participation in OMEGA matches had little effect on the number of participants this year—57 compared to 59 last year. A motion was made and seconded to make the bylaws changes permanent. The motion was approved.

A big thank you to everyone that supported me and my efforts to raise money for Carolina Breast Cancer Fund. Was an amazing week to be a part of. Together we raised over $10,000! Absolutely incredible!! This money will go towards patient education and outreach programs, as well as clinical research and treatments in association with Levine Cancer Institute's comprehensive Breast Cancer initiatives. Just a great example of how amazing Raintree members are.
If you wanted to donate and did not have a chance, I will keep my page live and open until this Sunday at 5 pm. We collectively are making a difference!
