Environmental Design Studio Residential | 2024
Ri’ayah, a residential project, with its distinct interwining form, the buildings speak the language of coexistence, connection, and in some sense, ‘refraction’. Ri’ayah bridges the emirates of Dubai and Sharjah, A cultural prism unfolding various hues within the spectrum, emerging from the singular landscape of UAE. A place that aims to be a space that remains in between the lines where agriculture intertwine. More than a place of residence, it integrates agricultural practices as an essential layer of urban living. Vertical gardens, accessible from almost every floor, allow residents to harvest fresh produce within walking distance, reducing reliance on vehicular transport and fostering a self-sustaining ecosystem that extends beyond individual needs to benefit surrounding communities. At the core of this vision, the community center houses an innovative space dedicated to growing and studying mycelium, exploring its potential as the architect of the future—not just for nourishment, but for the very structures we inhabit. Here, architecture and agriculture intertwine seamlessly, cultivating a future where we not only grow our food, but also our buildings.

meaning 'life,' symbolizes the harmonious coexistence between nature and humanity. It reflects a vision where the rhythms of the natural environment intertwine seamlessly with human activities, fostering a balanced and sustainable living experience. This integration celebrates both the roots of tradition and the aspirations of progress, creating spaces that thrive in synergy with their surroundings. Inspired by Hatta's mountain landscape, Bedouin heritage, and the organic networks of mycelium. The design draws parallels with the resilience and adaptability of Bedouin tents, echoing their lightweight yet functional structures, while the interconnectedness of mycelium reflects the integration of spaces fostering community and growth, and all the ups and downs that exist throughout, the design is an embodiment on coexistence with the past, the present and the envisioned future.

Khorfakkan Cinema Hotel
Adaptive Reuse Cinema to Museum + Hotel | 2023
The project is an adaptive reuse of the Old Khorfakkan Cinema (built in 1978) to transform the long-abandoned structure into a hotel, preserving its historical essence while minimizing demolition costs. The design celebrates Arabic calligraphy, desert nights, and Arab heritage, using mashrabiya to create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. The existing cinema becomes a museum focused on calligraphy and modern building history, while the new hotel structure seamlessly integrates with its surroundings.Inspired by the warm hues of the desert, the design fosters a deep connection between tradition and modernity.

Redesigning Landscape Design
Intergenerational Play Area | 2024
The redesign envisions a seamless coexistence of past and future, divided by the fleeting moment of the present. Inspired by visual poetry, the landscape becomes a medium of expression, situated between the dynamic Sheikh Zayed Road and the Museum of the Future. Blending aesthetics with function, the space offers a playful, interactive environment where cultures converge through shared experiences. With calm walkable paths, seating areas, and a kid-friendly playground, it fosters unspoken connections, where language dissolves and friendships form.

“Moments as they become memories”
The columns represent the brief portion in time where moments fade into memories. The ‘moment’ at present fades away onto the metro bridge to be stored as a ‘memory’

Design Methods Studio Ferry Terminal + Pedestrian Bridge | 2023
This project embodies fluid memory, where space and experience flow like water—ever-evolving, seamless, and interconnected. A water taxi terminal and sculptural pedestrian bridge in Business Bay merge land and water into a continuous spatial narrative. Organized as a chain of experiences, it adapts to changing needs, much like evolving memories.Together, the terminal and bridge form a dynamic social transportation hub, not just linking land and water but also fostering a deeper personal connection, evolving like memories over time.

Waiting takes patience—it’s a pause, a moment between places. A bus stop, like a letter, connects people. Inspired by how envelopes carry meaning, Station X is a space for anyone. Mark Twain’s words— “Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?”— resonate with many who pass through, especially in a city like Dubai, where so many are in constant transit. More than just a waiting spot, Station X adapts to its surroundings, whether as a play area, a reading nook, or a quiet retreat. Peg-like walls let people shape the space to their needs—because waiting should feel like more than just sitting still.
