I want to remind you all to “Finish Strong, Begin Anew,” as we progress. Whether you are looking forward to the next step in Toastmasters (or even life), remember that the process does not stop here The work we do here make us better communicators, more confident leaders, and ultimately improve the quality of who we are as individuals.
Together, as we embrace the final months of this term, let’s continuously work towards making these moments more fruitful. So do not stop coming to sessions. Most importantly, do not stop inspiring each other.

Being a perfectionist can be perceived as a trait that many people admire, but yet hesitate to embrace. At first glance, perfectionists are often seen as determined, driven, and detail-oriented. They are often admired for their commitment to quality and their tireless pursuit of excellence. From the outside, they seem to have everything under control. However, in reality one may go through a complex web of motivations, pressures, and emotional consequences that can be both empowering and draining.
Over time, this cycle can lead to frustration, self-doubt, and feelings of inadequacy.
To those around them, perfectionists can come across as overly critical, either of themselves or others. Their need for flawlessness can be misinterpreted as inflexibility or even micromanagement. The pressure to meet their own high expectations can lead them to appear distant or overly serious, leading to misunderstanding.
The Good, the bad and the ugly
On the positive side, perfectionists have a remarkable ability to focus, persist, and strive for high standards. They are often the ones who go the extra mile and beyond, ensuring that no detail is overlooked and that their work is of the highest possible quality, where needed the most.
Nevertheless, the relentless drive for flawlessness can take a toll on mental and emotional well-being. Perfectionists are prone to burnout, anxiety, and chronic dissatisfaction, as they often set themselves up for impossible standards. Their fear of failure or making mistakes can lead to procrastination or a refusal to delegate tasks.
The implications of perfectionism are extensive, not only affecting the individual but also those around them. In the workplace, perfectionists may struggle to collaborate effectively, unable to let go of control or trust others to meet their standards. This can create tension with colleagues and lead to inefficiencies. In personal relationships, perfectionism can create unrealistic expectations, causing strain and misunderstanding, when others fail to meet them. Moreover, perfectionists often struggle with self-compassion. Their inner critic constantly undermines their achievements, leaving them feeling unworthy of praise or success. This can result in an ongoing cycle of self-sabotage, where their drive for excellence becomes the very thing that holds them back.
Finding Balance
The key to navigating perfectionism lies in the balance. While striving for excellence is a positive quality, it is important for perfectionists to learn how to set realistic goals and accept that imperfection is part of the human experience. Acknowledging that mistakes and failures are natural opportunities for growth, can help relieve the pressure to be flawless at all times .
To find this balance, perfectionists should practice self-compassion and recognize when their standards are becoming unrealistic. Setting boundaries, delegating tasks, and allowing for imperfection can free up mental space for creativity and personal growth.
Another tactic will be in effectively prioritizing tasks based on its importance and urgency to avoid procrastination and burnout. This will help delegating tasks more prudently whilst focusing on the critical/ value adding tasks.
In conclusion, perfectionism need not be a destructive force. When balanced with selfawareness, acceptance and compassion, perfectionists can use their drive for excellence to not only achieve greater things, but also to lead more fulfilling, less stressful lives.

TOASTMASTERS AND BEYOND: HOW IT IMPACTS EVERYDAY LIFE
As an educator, I have always believed in the transformative power of communication. However, stepping into a Toastmasters club opened my eyes to a deeper understanding of leadership and the art of conveying messages effectively. What started as a personal quest to overcome the fear of speaking in front of educated adults has evolved into a journey of growth that impacts not only my teaching but also my interactions with students and colleagues.
Joining Toastmasters was both a challenge and an opportunity. I remember my initial apprehension, being surrounded by seasoned speakers and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Yet, this very diversity turned out to be a source of inspiration. Every meeting brought a new role, each with its unique responsibilities and opportunities to learn. Over a short period, I had the privilege of playing almost all the roles in the club. From Timer to Grammarian, from Table Topics Master to Toastmaster of the Day, each role helped me refine my skills and boosted my confidence.
Winning the Best Role Player award was a moment of immense pride. It validated the effort I had put into performing my duties with creativity and diligence. But the pinnacle of my Toastmasters journey so far was delivering my Icebreaker speech. Standing in front of an audience, sharing my story with authenticity and passion, and being awarded the Best Speaker title was a turning point. It was not just about the recognition but the realization that I could connect with people meaningfully through words.
The lessons I have learned at Toastmasters extend far beyond the club meetings. In my classroom, I find myself more attuned to the nuances of communication. Whether it’s breaking down complex economic theories for my students or fostering an inclusive environment during homeroom activities, the skills honed at Toastmasters have been invaluable. I am now more deliberate in my choice of words, more confident in my delivery, and more empathetic in my interactions.
Toastmasters has also enhanced my leadership abilities. Planning and executing roles in a meeting, providing constructive feedback, and leading by example have shaped my approach to leadership within the school. Organizing activities like the 'Question Jar' session for students has become a seamless blend of fun and learning, much like the engaging Table Topics sessions at Toastmasters.
Reflecting on my journey, I realize that the impact of Toastmasters is profound because it is not limited to the podium. It’s in the way I listen, the way I inspire, and the way I empower others.
Whether it’s helping a student find their voice or collaborating with colleagues on a project, Toastmasters has equipped me with the tools to build connections and foster growth.
To anyone considering joining Toastmasters, I say this: it’s more than just a club.
It’s a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. The confidence you gain, the friendships you build, and the skills you develop will ripple through every aspect of your life, just as they have in mine.
So, what are you waiting for? Isn’t it time you took the first step on this transformative journey?

Navigating the New Era of Change
In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, digital disruption is reshaping how organizations operate, interact with customers, and deliver value. This phenomenon, driven by technological advancements, has made it essential for businesses to adapt quickly or risk obsolescence.
Digital disruption refers to the transformation triggered by emerging technologies, which fundamentally alters industries and markets. From artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT), these innovations enable companies to rethink business models, streamline operations, and create unique customer experiences.
One of the most prominent examples of digital disruption can be seen in Ecommerce where the shopping habits are moving to online platforms from the physical stores. Also telehealth services and finetech is evolving rapidly which are getting digitalized than the phase we thought.
With this dynamic world Toastmasters International (TI) is also now getting in collaboration with the latest AI technology to boost the members experience. They partnered with Yoodi, an AI powered speech coach tool. The mission being help members communnicate with confidence. Yoodli serves as a powerful feedback tool which will act as a guide to prepare on the next speech, perform meeting roles effectively and be prepared proactively before the performing on stage.
However the real question is are we using these free tools to get the maximum benefit.? We dp pay $60 as subscriptions bi-annually. These tolls come as complementary with the membership fees which we pay. Are we even aware of them rather using them.?
To thrive in this era of disruption, members must embrace a culture of innovation and change. This involves fostering agility, investing in technology, and prioritizing to be equipped with the skills needed to navigate digital transformation. Collaboration is also crucial; members can leverage with other fellow members to accelerate their journey.
In conclusion, digital disruption presents both challenges and opportunities for members. By embracing change, fostering innovation, and focusing on needs, members can navigate this new era and emerge stronger. The key lies in staying proactive and adaptable, as the digital landscape continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace.

From Vision to Reality: The Role of Passion,
Devotion & Delusion of Grandeur
in Achieving Greatness
"It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves." – William Shakespeare
"The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." – Steve Jobs
Throughout history, greatness has been achieved not by those who simply followed the rules, but by those who dared to believe in the impossible. Passion, devotion, and bold self-belief—often regarded as a "delusion of grandeur"—have driven visionaries to transform the world. One notable individual was Steve Jobs, whose unwavering confidence turned a bulky, breadbox-sized personal computer into the sleek, compact MacBook we know today.
The Story of Steve Jobs: A Visionary Who Defied Limits
IIn the late 1970s, personal computers were far from "personal." They were large, expensive, and required technical expertise to operate. However, Steve Jobs envisioned a different future—one where computers would be compact, beautifully designed, and accessible to everyone. At the time, his vision seemed outrageous; critics dismissed his ideas as unrealistic, and even his own board at Apple once ousted him.
Jobs possessed what many called a "delusion of grandeur"—an almost irrational confidence in his vision. He refused to accept that computers had to be large and clunky. Instead, he pursued sleek, intuitive, and revolutionary designs. Through relentless passion and dedication, he pushed boundaries, refined technology, and led Apple to create groundbreaking
products like the MacBook Air, which could fit inside an envelope— a stark contrast to the breadbox-sized machines of the past.
The Three Pillars of Achieving Greatness
1.The Three Pillars of Achieving Greatness Passion is the spark that ignites ambition. Steve Jobs' love for innovation drove him to revolutionize the tech industry. This passion provides the energy needed to overcome obstacles and inspires both ourselves and those around us.
2.Devotion: The Discipline to Stay the Course
Vision alone is not enough; dedication turns dreams into reality. Jobs was meticulous about detail, constantly refining products until they were flawless. Similarly, in our own journeys—whether in leadership, communication, or personal growth— commitment and discipline define how far we can go.
3.Delusion of Grandeur: The Power of Unshakable Belief
Society often discourages ambitious ideas that may seem too big. However, history shows that those who achieve greatness are the ones who believe in themselves, even when others do not. What some may perceive as arrogance is often the confidence necessary to overcome resistance and leave a lasting impact.
Bringing This Mindset to Toastmasters and Beyond
As Toastmasters, we stand at the intersection of vision and execution. Every speech we give, every leadership role we
take on, and every challenge we face is an opportunity to refine our skills aspirations into reality. Just as envisioned a world where computers fit in our hands, we too have shape our futures—whether becoming confident speakers, leaders, or innovators in our fields.
The question is: Do you have devotion, and bold self-belief your vision?
