Cam had a strong showing at the U18s and could be a top 5 pick next June. He has all the tools to fit the modern NBA as he s strong, athletic and versatile, which will allow him to play both forward spots. I love his motor and toughness and think he s going to develop into a reliable shooter, but I want to see him make strides as a passer. I know he can score, but if he can make others around him better it takes his game to another level. — Rafael Barlowe I m extremely high on Cam. I first saw him at the Wootten Camp in Dallas a couple years ago and he was the best player at the camp and has continued to progress. I m curious to see how he plays with Anthony Black this season. I believe both need the ball to maximize their gifts but I think Smith will have the easier adjustment. I ll also be paying attention to how effective he is scoring at the rim. I like shot makers and Dariq fits the description. I m a fan of his confidence and think he s at his best when he s attacking downhill and creating for others. Sometimes his confidence leads to poor shots, but that s expected with a shot maker — Rafael Barlowe I’m super high on Dariq. He’s young, which is a big thing for me. He’s been at Montverde since he was in 8th grade and he’s super mature given his age. I think his game is scalable to the NBA and that’s probably the biggest thing for him. He’s a great kid off the court, his brother is in the NFL and he has all the bloodlines. He’s going to shoot the ball, he’s going to defend and he’s a solid athlete. — NBA scout

I m a big believer in Keyonte George and have been since he was a freshman in high school. It will be interesting to see how he s used at Baylor since he ll be sharing the backcourt with their top two returning scorers from last season. He s a big-time scorer that can play on and off the ball, and I don t think he gets enough love as a passer. — Rafael Barlowe The decision-making is a massive question for me. He’s looking to score and put the ball in the hoop. He’s a gifted scorer, he can get to his spots and can rise up [over defenders], but I’m looking to see how he processes things offensively. He s considered the better shooter of the two, and he s still a ways away from being an average shooter. I m intrigued by the ball handling, athleticism and passing. I think he can also be a high-level defender with his motor and elite tools. Dillon Mitchell is one of those guys that can impact games without dominating the ball. He hustles, rebounds, gives his team extra possessions, moves without the ball and flies down the floor in transition.

He ll need to add more to his game on the offensive end, but you can t teach his athleticism, aggression and defensive versatility — Rafael Barlowe I’ve heard good stuff about the shooting progression. I don’t think he’s going to shoot great this year and I don’t think he’s going to shoot at a high volume. I think the playmaking is interesting and that’s the thing that’s popped to me the most.

GG is one of my favorite prospects in this class. He ll only be 18 on draft night and his potential is off the charts. I think he can be the rare big man that scores on multiple levels. He can score around the rim, take his man off the dribble, shoot the midrange and knock down open shots from deep. I really love how he handles the ball. The sky is the limit. — Rafael Barlowe His age, and his recent development and how much he’s improved over the last year is why I’m so high on him. He’s made a lot of strides recently and probably would be the top pick in 2024 if he didn’t reclass. — NBA scout

Now if he s like Chandler and his shooting continues to progress, he could see multiple All-Star games. — Rafael Barlowe I think he can really shoot the ball and will shoot it well [this season] and that’s going to keep him in the lottery discussion. I was high on Terquavion early as an NBA prospect and I like how he took the gamble to bet on himself and returned to school to try to improve his draft stock. His draft range was already pretty high before he pulled out so it was a risk. He s got some Jordan Poole in him and should be able to carve out a nice role as an instant offense microwave scorer.

Rafael Barlowe His frame is ultra thin much like Bones Hyland s. My question largely relies on how well he can play the 1 because I think he is more of an undersized 2. Could he play the role of Jason Terry, who thrived as an undersized 2? NBA scout

Miller could be the biggest wildcard in this class. He could shake up the draft and end up being a top 5 pick because he s that good. He s super talented with great size and versatility, and you can make a case he s underrated coming into the season. Rafael Barlowe He s rising in my opinion but it s early. The more I see his film, the more I like him. He s long, agile and can score all over the floor and he s around 6 8 or 6 9 . I missed the TCU game [a scrimmage on October 18 in Fort Worth , but I heard they didn t have an answer for him. He should be in the discussion to be one of the top picks. NBA scout

I really, really like Jarace as a passer and playmaker.

He passes on the move, finds cutters and can play a role as a distributor from the 4 spot. I think he can create mismatches all over the floor, is too strong for wings and can attack slower defenders off the dribble. He fills the stat sheet and is also a good defender. Rafael Barlowe He s massive, physically mature, smart and processes the game at high level.
