Praise Him! Allah (SWT) has made us from the ummah of hamd, of praise. And he’s raised us amongst the nation of the One who is oft praised in this world. And will be (the most, the one who) praises Allah (SWT) the most in the next world, Ahmad(SAW) And thus, we learn from this that we are people who must praise Allah (SWT) constantly. We must take time to sit and show gratitude and come together to thank Allah (SWT) by doing dhikr in remembrance of this gift that Allah (SWT) has given us, this gift of iman and this gift of Islam. But also we must show thanks and show gratitude and praise to Sayyiddina Rasuillalihi (SAW), we cannot praise him enough. Rather Allah (SWT) commands us to do so constantly when he said, Inna Allaha, verily Allah Wamalaikati and his angels yuswalluna alan Nabii, send prayers upon him—send prayers upon him constantly. This is Mudariat, to mean now and onwards. Allah (SWT) is constantly sending salaat on the Prophet (SAW) and his angels are constantly sending salaat on him. ya ayuhall lathina aamanu, O you who believe, do you not want—are we not your example? Do you not want to follow us? ya ayuhall lathina aamanu swallu aleyhi wasalimu taslima, Constantly send salaat on him, send prayers on him say Allahumma salli alaa sayyidina Muhammadi wa aala aali sayyindina Muhammad, kama salayata alaa sayyidina Ibrahim We should constantly—someone’s— lips should not be—should always be moist with sending salaat to the Prophet (SAW). ya ayuhall lathina aamanu swallu aleyhi wasalimu taslima, send salaams on him abundantly . And so we learn from this that the believer—it’s fundamental for him to take time out to sit and make salaat on the Prophet (SAW) whether alone or with other people. And by doing so he has a solid foundation in his religion because he understands why he’s here, he understands why he’s doing this. He’s doing this in order why was Sayyiddina Rasuillalihi (SAW) even sent on this Earth? He wasn’t sent for himself rather he was sent for us. He is the model for us to implement. We are sent on this earth in order to embody and take the Prophet (SAW) as our example. This is why we are in this world dar al takliif , this abode, this domain of responsibility. What is our responsibility? To represent the Prophet (SAW) but how do we do this? First and foremost we need to be occupy our minds with Sayyiddina Rasuillalihi (SAW) how—and send salaat on the Prophet (SAW) because he said, ‘inna awla naasi bi , “the most who are deserving of me yawmul qiyama will be close to me, aktharu hum swalaatun aley, Those who send most salaat on me because the more you remember and the more you’re occupied with him in this life the closer you will be to him in the day of yawmul qiyama So we understand we must send salaat on him so that our heart is filled with love of him. And then we read about him and when we read about him, we fall in love with him even more. And thus then we can implement the religion of Islam, we can go out and call people to this religion because we have a firm foundation. And until we have that firm foundation, in fact we would be doing a disservice to the religion because we’d be going out thinking we’re calling people to Islam, defending the religion and we’re completely ignorant of how to do so because we have no connection to the Prophet (SAW), we have no love for him (SAW), true love that people see manifest on us when we have that firm foundation, when we spend all our time occupying a love for the Prophet (SAW), send salaat to the Prophet (SAW) and then we go and call people and then we go out and just represent the religion, people will see what a blessed religion this is, people will see what a beautiful religion this is. And so this is the understanding that we have

to put a portion, we have to separate our time and we have to spend time to sit with people make dhikr and this is the blessing of the mawlid. The blessing of the mawlid is that we sit and thank Allah and appreciate what Allah (SWT) has given us by bringing this perfect being, the greatest of creation into our lives, sitting and singing his praises so that we’re rejuvenated and our faith is constantly being increased so that we can go out and be positive people. We can go out and be people who are content, people who show this satisfaction and contentment so that it has an effect on the community, has effect on those people who we call. This is the best way to defend the Prophet (SAW), not by going out and shouting, not by going out and venting one’s anger. Rather by going out and people seeing you and saying, “Subhan'Allah, how is it you’re like this?” You say this is who— Sayyiddina Rasuillalihi (SAW)—the one who taught me to be like this is Sayyiddina Rasuillalihi (SAW), this is who am I trying to exemplify and thus the people would say, “We want to know who this person is as well! We want to have such contentment! We want to have such beautiful character as you have. We want this in our lives as well.” Say to Allah (SWT) just give us understanding in our religion Say to Allah (SWT) to make us amongst those who sends salaat and salaam on the Prophet (SAW) abundantly. Says Allah (SWT) He gives us the ability to any affair that comes to us we know Allah inspires us how Sayyiddina Rasuillalihi (SAW)—would react in and how he would act in that situation because that is a true representation of the Prophet (SAW). One who when he’s in a situation he says, “what would be—how would the Prophet (SAW) react in this situation? How would he act in this situation?” Ask Allah (SWT) to make us from amongst those ALHAMDULILLAHI RABBIL ALAAMIN
