Cowes Primary School pupils enjoy many exciting, educational and interesting activities as part of Quest each week. We also run a variety of after school clubs including Art, Choir, Football, Multi-sports, Netball and Orchestra. As a community school, we value support from our local community members. YMCA YMCA is one of the leading service providers for children and young people on the Isle of Wight, with its main hub at Winchester House in Shanklin. Opened in 2010, the popular Winchester House Nursery and Pre-School cares for, and educates children from 6 weeks to 5 years in light and spacious playrooms that open directly onto our large enclosed gardens. Children learn in a fun and safe environment with exciting activities including camp fire cooking. During school holidays a fun club is available for children aged 3 - 5 years. Flexibility is offered in the form of hourly ad hoc sessions for parents who may want some time to go shopping on their own or attend the local gym or swimming pool. Conveniently located on the hospital site, the Nursery has 3 dedicated rooms and a large woodland garden for the children to explore and learn through play. Each school holiday, the nursery also offers its own Daycamp programme for children aged 4 - 8 years, with half and full day options available.
