Reflections by David Davenport Contemplating on the last two years reminds me of the saying… “An Attitude of Gratitude.” I am so thankful we have turned the page on the past two years and can now look forward to a brighter and more rewarding future in travel. I am also grateful for those of you reading this and to all our wonderful clients who have remained with us through these challenging times. Your patience, empathy, and continued support has made a difference to our SignaTours family. Words cannot express our appreciation for the calls, the office visits, and for all the letters we have received thanking us for providing travel as soon as conditions allowed. Challenges are still very much a part of the “Travel World” as change is constant and never ending. We are experiencing never before seen shortages in restaurant, hotel and venue staffing, the implementation of vaccination requirements, and a continued increase in the cost of fuel, food, and other essential everyday items. We are meeting

the obstacles head on and doing our best to provide a worry free tour experience despite these challenges. Recently, I returned from a River Cruise in Southern France with a fine group of SignaTours travelers I consider friends. This was my first trip out the country in two years and while challenging at times with mask mandates, long lines, and the occasional language barrier, I must say it was a “Life Enriching Experience!” Our group saw beautiful sights along the Rhône and Saône Rivers, explored centuries old cathedrals, walked through Lavender Fields in Provence, saw the Pont du Gard – a 1st Century aqueduct built by the Romans, and experienced so many other incredible sites, too many to list. Enrich Your Life with the “Gift of Travel.” It doesn’t matter if it’s a day trip to our Nation’s Capital or a European Cruise on the Mediterranean. The best prescription for health and well-being is to get out there and embrace all that life has to offer.
