MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR Let's hope that this is just the beginning of a great collaboration between rotaractors all over the world and we'll come together again stronger for better purpose in future!

Being a Rotaractor is a delight in itself and having given the opportunity to serve for Rotaract Club of Kathmandu for the Rotary year 2021-22 as an editor is more than what I could ask for. Along with this opportunity, I see a huge challenge in maintaining the legacy and the standard set by my predecessors in this exact work. So, I am bound to try the best of what I can offer for my club as an editor and this bulletin is the first official record of what me and my team could offer. It was an amazing experience to collect and compile so many awesome articles from all over the world in this multidistrict bulletin. I think "adventure" is the best word that fits the whole process as the articles from the club all over the world kept me amazed and excited about the great projects the clubs have been doing while I was preparing this bulletin. It's kind of fun and special knowing about all the awesome clubs before it is published. I had never thought that I would be stalking my way through the pages of various clubs for missing information, but that was fun too!

Let's hope that this is just the beginning of a great collaboration between rotaractors all over the world and we'll come together again stronger for better purpose in future!

Together, let us make it the best year of our lives, by making it a year to grow more and do more. Let this be a year of changemakers, and let us begin with our membership. That is precisely why the Each One, Bring One initiative is so important. During this year, I urge you to dream of new ways in which Rotary can expand its reach into your community and therefore the world. If each member introduces one person to Rotary, our membership can increase to 1.3 million by July 2022. So, let’s just do it! Imagine the change we, as Rotary members, can make when there are so many more of us! More people to care for others, more people to Serve to Change Lives. Think of the impact we can have through grow more, do more. More members will enable us to embark on bigger and bolder service projects.

And each of us can also continue to serve in our own personal ways, responding to needs in our communities.

The beauty of Rotary is that service means different things to different people around the world. One element, however, that we can incorporate into all of our service initiatives is empowering girls. Unfortunately, even in this day and age, girls and young women face disproportionate challenges all over the world. We have the power to lead the charge for gender equality. Empowering girls and young women to have greater access to education, better health care, more employment, and equality in all walks of life should be embedded in every Rotary project we launch. Girls are future leaders, so we must ensure that we help them shape their future.

The biggest gift we are given Is the power to touch a life, To change, to make a difference In the circle of life.

If we can reach out With our hand, heart, and soul, The magic will start to happen As the wheel begins to roll.

Let’s turn the wheel together So all humanity thrives, We have the power and the magic To Serve to Change Lives.

These are challenging times, and I compliment each of your efforts in grappling with COVID-19. No challenge is too big for Rotarians. The bigger the challenge, the more passionate the Rotarian. Look at what we can do when we take on a colossal challenge such as eradicating polio. Look at the millions of lives we improve by strengthening access to water, sanitation, and hygiene. Look at what we do every year to promote peace in places where it seems unimaginable. Our basic education and literacy programs have nation-building impact.

This year, let us challenge ourselves to do more such projects and programs that have national reach and impact. This year, let us Serve to Change Lives.

MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT With the hope of maintaining the legacy of this club, we are running on 26th years of service from this year with the presidential theme "Magnify Yourself" on this RY 2021-22.

I feel very fortunate and proud to be the 28 th President of Rotaract Club of Kathmandu which is a prestigious organization and I express my heartfelt gratitude to all for this trust and support. Introducing the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu, it was chartered on 6 th November 1996 which is sponsored by the first Rotary Club of Nepal, Rotary Club of Kathmandu RID 3292 Nepal and Bhutan. It is an old and very active Rotaract Club from the beginning in RI District which has its own image from which other clubs are also inspired to move forward and learn accordingly. With the hope of maintaining the legacy of this club, we are running on 26 th years of service from this year with the presidential theme "Magnify Yourself" on this RY 2021-22.

Though it was quite tough to adopt the alternative way due to the pandemic situation we have completed Rotary Year 2020-21 with outstanding and new programs by following active participation and creative ideas of our enthusiastic and energetic members. I would like to congratulate the whole team alongside our Immediate Past President Rtr. Nisha Khatiwada for all the successful completion that we had in Rotary Year 2020-21. This achievement is an encouragement for us to work harder in the days to come.

Rotaract Club of Kathmandu conducted Debractor which was a friendly debate, also it conducted its 26th Installation Ceremony on 17 th July, with a participation of over 30 individuals in physical presence and 40 through the virtual platform. As we focus more on professional development and fellowship, we have planned for technical workshops, Rota Camp, Public Speaking, Joint Meetings, Festival oriented fellowship programs.

Moreover, we have planned community service projects like Project Shiksha, Solid Waste Management to serve the community. Similarly, we will continue International Avenue Projects for International understanding and networking.

Furthermore, all of us are different and we always feel the need to communicate with others who aspire to be different through various mediums. Bulletin has always been one such means that can help us achieve the common goal that we all aspire. This is an amazing platform to come together from the global level, sharing and inspiring readers through the promotion of various activities. I believe that this initiative will help in promoting better goodwill and fellowship among our clubs. This joining up of all of us is absolutely outstanding and incredible. This year, we will strive to be more comprehensive through fellowships, individual capacity building, community service and international relations, keeping in mind the aspirations of the members within the club. We always encourage other clubs to join us through meetings, projects and different Rotaract Activities to fulfill the objectives of Rotaract. RAC JOS

The Rotaract Club of JOS was Chartered In 2018 by Rotr. Aliyu Muhammed. The club is sponsored by Rotary Club of Jos Tin City, Plateau State, Nigeria. The club meeting is set to hold every Saturday. Time : 4:00p.m. Venue: University of Jos Hotel, Dogon Dutse road, Jos, Plateau State. The club has a total of 22 members with Rotr. Bunmi Lucas as Immediate Past President (2020-2021) and Rotr. Nathaniel Onah as President (2021-2022)

Our Covid Journey During the COVID-19 pandemic, The club for a while, did not hold any fellowship. After which we opted on having online meetings. We also could not carry out projects during these months. After the first few months we moved to holding physical meetings twice in a month not forgetting to follow the COVID-19 protocols during this period. Although there was a reduction in the turn out of members, but that didn't stop them from sending in funds for projects to be carried out by the club. It was at this point we were able to start executing projects.

MESSAGE FROM RAC JOS I must commend the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu for this great idea and the opportunity to be featured in the Multi District Bulletin.

02 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

The Rotaract Club of Jos was able to execute the following projects with help from our sponsoring club, friends and families: A visit to an Orphanage tagged "CELEBRATING EASTER AT THE ORPHANAGE" We spent a better part of our day creating wonderful memories with the orphan; we played games, danced, we got time to relate with the kids and lots more. We also donated food items, clothes, snacks, e.t.c The water project tagged "CLEAN WATER CHANGES EVERYTHING" We discovered there was a community where they lacked clean water. They had to cover quite a distance in other to get clean water. So, we donated tank of water to the community.

RAC NIBM

Rotaract Club of NIBM sponsored by Rotary Club of Capital City, charted on the 24th December 2019. The club was the very first student-initiated organization at the National Institute of Business Management. Today, the club has grown into a massive serving organization that has more than 200 strong members. With theme of “Breakthrough to Excellence”, which represents developing personal power, dealing with turbulent times, and creating a culture of innovation, loyalty and competitive advantage, while fostering honest and open communication.

Our Covid Journey Despite the fact that the pandemic struck unexpectedly, we were able to make the best of the resources we had all along, which included our fellow members, club executives, and board of directors. The selfless people who helped during the COVID-19 pandemic were motivated by the spirit of volunteering, which is ingrained in all of us. Creating virtual awareness and extending an assistance to people in need with necessary safety and procedures, among other things, were all done to keep our motives and objectives alive. Adapting to any situation while continuing to move forward with the "New Normal" was a challenge that we were able to accomplish, which was a huge success. We were able to assist and commit to communities both internationally and locally during challenging times.

MESSAGE FROM RAC NIBM We maybe in different clubs, speak different languages, live in different places but we all belong to one big Rotaract Family. I wish nothing but the best to the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu from RID 3292, for all the efforts and impact that the club is looking forward to put into action in this new Rota Year.

04 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Project VIBE Project VIBE was a virtual talent show organized by the club where new faces brought out their talents to the stage, where 20+ participants from both NIBM Colombo and NIC Kirulapone showcased themselves. The participants pre-recorded the videos and the final video was broadcasted live on Facebook with 2.1K+ views, and the project ended successfully Project Modern day Slavery : Human Trafficking The project aimed at educating and creating awareness regarding modern day slavery. Therefore we invited a distinguished panel consisting of the Director of Human Trafficking program in US, an assistant professor of business analytics and a Homeland security investigations officer. And a talented social activist was invited to moderate the webinar. Having over 180 registration from multiple countries this project concluded successfuly. This was a collaborative effort with the Rotaract Club of Madhyapur Nepal (RID3292) and the Roads to Right organization.

MESSAGE FROM RAC PATNA CITY I Rtr. Ankit Kumar as President 2020-2021 of Rotaract Club of Patna City RID 3250 was blank when I took charge of my position. Thanks to Rotary Club of Patna City who has been a great help and support for all our projects and ideas. If people call our projects as successful projects it's all our members and the team of people who worked together for the best of them.

Some people didn't understand what they should do when they were given work. It was the only problem which we faced. But they have been nurtured by senior members of our club and they have given there best from it. Now members have learnt something or the other from the projects they have worked for.

06 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Project Feed The Need A community service initiative project. We Rotaract Club of Patna City RID 3250 joined hands with the NGO "Feed The Need" Chennai, India to accomplish this project. From March 2020 to June 2021, we have been feeding people abiding the government norms. Around 200 food parcels per day have been prepared from the private supplier and handed over to help people who are suffering from deadly diseases and homeless in streets Project Little gift This project was initiated by the Rotaract Club of Patna City RID 3250, a wall where clothes will be hung which has been delivered to the needy people. Location:Bhadraghat Road, Patna City. (PHASE 1). The campaign held by the Rotaract Club of Patna City, is a wall where good and old clothes are hung for the needy. This wall is from the city court to Mahavir Ghat. Clothes collected where donated to the needy people. (PHASE 2)

Rotaract Club of Kolhapur Midtown Phoenix was chartered in Kolhapur in South of Maharashtra, India on 21st of February, 1997. Our club has a legacy of great leaders and Past 24 years phoenix has been serving the society with outstanding projects and has set milestones in the history of rotaract. Our club has given back to back 3 DRR’s in a very short span of time. And the best part of it is all those DRR’s i.e PDRR Hrishikesh Khot sir, PDRR Manoj Munishwar sir and PDRR Rishikesh Jadhav have received most prestigious award i.e outstanding DRR Awards among south Asia. So, we are proud of being associated with the rotaract club of Kolhapur midtown phoenix for setting a benchmark of giving outstanding DRR’S. cheers to the spirit of rotaractivity.

Our Covid Journey We already know the last year was a difficult one for us all. But we, Rotaract Club of Kolhapur Midtown Phoenix didn’t let this pandemic have an upper hand over us. We overcame the economical barriers and gave our everything to fight against this pandemic. We helped the community by being it’s aid. We distributed masks, sanitisers and gloves in the neighbourhood. We also conducted various sessions and created awareness about COVID 19.

MESSAGE FROM RAC KOHALPUR MIDTOWN PHOENIX Warm Greeting, With the new Rota year, we are glad to be part of the multidistrict bulletin with the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu.

Rotaract Club of Kolhapur Midtown Phoenix has been working endlessly on many projects even with covid pandemic, some of which (projects) will be talked on later and we are planning to work more in the coming year and we would be pleased to be collaborating with your club for more projects and bulletins together and hopefully a physical letterhead exchange.

We are glad to have this opportunity to share our projects with other districts, and thank RAC Kathmandu for giving us this chance.

08 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Lavatory for Kumbharwadi Highschool At the start of the rota year 2020-21 we had an immense desire of constructing a toilet in a needy area in Kolhapur as a special project. We were planning accordingly for it.While in March when we visited Kumbharwadi Highschool in Shahuwadi taluka of Kolhapur district for SABLA (sanitary napkin donation) project we noticed that the school's lavatory was in a mediocre condition. It had no roof left, no doors, no walls. That was creating a problem for the 50 girls studying there.

Hence we came to a conclusion there’s a need for the toilet to be built here than in the city area. We started promoting the project & gathering the funds from people.

Even material was accepted as a donation. After much effort we had enough funds to complete the construction of this lavatory. This left an impact on the female students there. Before after 6th or 7th standard female students used to leave the school for the reason of no toilet to use but now things are changing.

Cycle Re-cycle Cycle Recycle was club Special Project which was done by understanding the need of the who need to walk 4 – 5 kms everyday to attend their schools due to absence of local transport. The Cycles were divided into three cycle banks. The cycles were not distributed directly to the students, but banks were made so that the use of cycles can be done in the proper manner. The school will not only provide cycles to these students but once they are completed with primary education the cycles will be re-collected from these students and will be allotted to the new ones. This will keep a healthy rotation. The cycles will be indirectly the club's property of which follow up will be taken at regular intervals in 3 years and the documentation work of students and their parents has been done to whom cycles are allotted.

Bank 1 consisted of 5 new cycles handed over to Kumbharwadi Highschool. Bank 2 consisted of 2 new cycles handed over to Ram Highschool Kuditre. Bank 3 consisted of 3 new cycles handed over to Kendriya Prathamik Shala, Anuskura.

Our Covid Journey When Covid-19 pandemic started in Bangladesh and the govt. declared lockdown to the nation we step forward without any fear to do what we can. On June 2020 RID-3281 we are the 1st district to provide 10,000 hand sanitizer among the people we also provide uncountable masks. In lockdown we gave meals to the people who lives on the street we also provide relief for 10 day package for the people who needed the most. We tried our best to give awareness among the people.We conducted all our regular meetings in online platform and motivated all the members to stay strong and stay safe. We motivated to maintain all the precautionary which told by the world health organization

10 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

We conducted project "One Day Meal" where we provided hundreds of meals for ten consecutive days who lives in the street who are suffering from hunger.

In the second project named "Hand sanitizer and Mask distribution" we distributed thousands of Hand Sanitizers in and uncountable masks. Our club RAC Bhawal Green along with our partner club RC Bhawal have been recognized in the Rotary Virtual Convention 2020 which have been a proud moment for all of us. The same problem we are facing now but we know how to fight back and we are committed to help the nation without any fear.

RAC MAKATI UNITED

The Rotaract Club of Makati United is a rookie club of Rotary International District 3830 Philippines with only just one year in service. Our Club was chartered last February 3, 2020 through the initiative of Charter President Christiane Patricia Masilang followed by our incumbent president, Brix Francis Halili. Truly, it is a baby club but through uniting our visions for the club, it can go to greater heights!

Our Covid Journey Club Service has been the greatest challenge throughout the COVID19 Pandemic.

Since we cannot see each other face to face, we were not able to do physical fellowship which was the most exciting part of Rotaract and since it was taken away from us temporarily, we were challenged to do online fellowships like playing games together, watching movies together and the likes. At first it was exciting but then as the time goes by, we really wanted to meet physically as meeting online would not suffice. Thankfully, restrictions in the Philippines has already loosened thus we were able to meet again but of course with precautionary measures so we could also be examples to our fellow countrymen.

MESSAGE FROM RAC MAKATI UNITED The COVID-19 pandemic was a great changemaker because it changed a lot in our lives. Many lost opportunities, many plans failed, many lost hope, many passed away, and a lot more. But will we only look at the negative sides? Let's reflect and see the good deeds of the pandemic. Imagine, when because of the pandemic, we had the opportunity to form our families which was rare even before the pandemic, we got to know them better one by one. Second, many of us discover new abilities because we seek new preoccupations while staying in our homes. And last, we have learned to value human life: we hope and believed that the frontliners will meet our burden; and we hope and believed that those who are afflicted will eventually recover and heal.

For all the Rotaractor in different parts of the world, volunteering is very hard to do especially in today’s era but let's just think that we can change something. Let us stand up and believe that all the challenges of the world can be overcome as long as we are together, standing up for our goals, and continue to serve to change lives.

12 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

One of our most outstanding projects held this year was the Dugtong Kabuhayan project. Dugtong means to bridge, kabuhayan means livelihood. We conceptualized this project so we could assist in the means of living of our fellows countrymen through providing workshops and materials for the products they are to sell. These workshops used recycleable materials which eventually turn into wallets and bags so that as we are aiding them in their livelihood, we are also supporting our environment through recycling.

RAC HONG KONG

Rotaract Club of Hong Kong (RACHK) is a community-based youth organization in Rotary International District 3450, and is chartered in July 2007. Most of our Club members are young and passionate working adults or Rotaractors who joined university-based clubs prior to joining our Club. Our Club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong.

Our Covid Journey A gathering ban has been imposed in Hong Kong since April 2020, with a current limit of 4 to 6 people (depending on the vaccination status of different premises). Thus, this largely affected our usual services with a number of 10-16 participants. Despite face to face contact was hardly possible, we have evolved to service through online platforms. From the usual physical contact with elderlies and young children, to pre-recorded videos on art work making to share happiness and love.

We believe it would be the new phenomenon for international service with IoT. And we hope to seek new opportunities to meet and serve the world community with you all.

14 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

An Art Exhibition named “Art of Forgetting” was successfully held from 20 October 2020 to 24 October 2020. It was a public exhibition to raise the society’s awareness on dementia. All the exhibited art works were created by our beloved grannies, who were unfortunately suffering from dementia, through 10 art therapeutic sessions leaded by our dedicated volunteers who were trained by social workers, occupational therapist and art programme instructors.

The well-designed course outline includes basic theories and application of art therapy, diverse application of art, latest updates of ageing population, design and practical skills of service groups as well as communication skills with dementia elderlies.

Despite COVID, we managed to complete the entire course and the Exhibition in f flying colours.

Rotaract Club of Itápolis is located in Itápolis, a small city in the heart of São Paulo State in Brazil. The Club is composed of 20 members, and as President of Rota Year 2021-22, Matheus Lima.

Our Covid Journey Because of the Coronavirus Pandemic the whole world went online and the face to face meetings were substituted for Zoom ones. In the Rotaract Club of Itápolis this was no different; one of the main challenges the members faced was definitely adapting themselves to the digital world and making room, in the middle of all of that, to develop relevant projects in a safe manner. As a well-organized and will-driven Club, the Rotaract Club of Itápolis was able to develop more than 15 projects in a pandemic year, which was only possible due to the associates, their ideas and their effort.

16 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

During the Rota Year 2020-21 Rotaract Club of Itápolis made several projects, one of which included a sale of frozen pasta as a means to raise money for the Club and other projects. The mentioned project involved all the members and after pre-selling the pasta, the associates organized a drive-through take out for the food. This was a very successful project that made it possible for others to occur. In fact, it was due to the money raised from projects that the Rotaract Club of Itápolis was able to conclude a very important cultural initiative, which was transforming an old freezer into a brand new bookcase. What is more, the partners of the Club made contact with editors and book publishers and got many books for it. The freezer is now in the City Hall where every citizen can borrow books to read and even donate some.

Our Covid Journey At the beginning of the pandemic everything was new, we had to adapt to the sudden change, in which our way of meeting already had to be virtual as well as doing activities where only two to three members could attend obviously with all the corresponding sanitary measures. It was really a year of many changes and learning, emphasizing that Rotary never ceased to surprise us and opened great opportunities, such as having more contact with other national and international clubs creating bonds of friendship that perhaps we only knew existed but did not imagine how big and beautiful it is, you can find a Rotaract Club everywhere! The activities became challenges to meet and share, as the needs changed and new ideas were not lacking. Not to mention that we always supported each other as a club and as friends. We learned, we grew and we continued making what we love, serve.

(Basura Challenge Internacional) International Trash Challenge : Garbage collection project in a public space or green area of our community, in order to improve the appearance and raise awareness about the responsibility of placing garbage in the assigned places. We did this project with eight Rotaract clubs from seven different countries; the Rotary club of Venezuela also replicated it.

Tulancingo Cálido (Warm Tulancingo):This project consisted of placing a coat rack with warm clothes and a canvas with the legend "Are you cold? Take one.

Do you want to help? Put one up", inviting the population to help vulnerable people during the cold season. We replicated this project in four of the surrounding municipalities: Acatlán, Metepec, Singuilucan and Acaxochitlán.

Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa was chartered in 2013 under Rotaract District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldives. It is a community based Rotaract Club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Colombo West.

20 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Battle with Pandemic is a project series that is focused on highlighting the impacts, finding solutions, and tackling the COVID-19 pandemic together with the international community. The project consisted of three sub-projects. The sub projects were formulated to cater different genres of common problem at hand, COVID-19 and the projects thoughtfully followed a specific timeline to reap their correct objectives. It was compromised with 3 sub projects, “Diary in a Pandemic”, “A Year with a Pandemic” and “To2gether”.

Kindred Kidneys is the signature project of the Community Service Avenue.

Currently, the main objectives of this project are to increase awareness regarding Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) among the general public and to provide physical resources to clinics who offer treatments for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, three phases and two sub-projects were planned under “Kindred Kidneys” for the year 2020/21.

Our motto as Rotaract Club of Panadura “Yeoman Service towards Humanity” commits all of our members to a common cause in serving our community, developing professional qualities among youth and promoting international understanding among all people. Rotaract Club of Panadura was chartered on the 26th of March in 2009 with the Rotary Club of Panadura as its sponsoring Rotary Club. The club’s founding members Charter President, Rtn. Rtr. PP. Nishakya de Silva, Rtr. PP. Bhagya Ratnayake, Rtr. PP. Asitha de Silva and Rtn. Rtr. PP. Yasasvi Salgado was instrumental in setting the foundation of the club.

Our Covid Journey Sri Lanka faced the first wave of COVID-19 in the month of March 2020. That is the end of the third quarter of Rotaract year 2019/2020. Ever since that point, all our physical meetings were restricted to a virtual platform. Needless to say, this was a bit challenging. Not because it was virtual but because virtual meetings took away all the other things we enjoyed during and after a general or a board of directors meeting. A few of those things were food and taking pictures together. And sharing a laugh for some reason or the other.

But as a responsible global youth organization, we were very cautious. As a club and as a Rotaract District we adhered to all the regulations imposed by the state, which we knew was for our own benefit.

And during these crucial times what better way to offer community service than to be responsible and minimize the spread of the COVID-19.

Being a global fraternity with a young spirit, Rotaract has connected communities worldwide who share the shared passion of serving their communities.Despite the differences in cultures, this shared passion was what indeed added colour to this diversified fraternity and made its name ring aloud throughout continents. 22 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Education for All Education For All is a community service project initiated by the Rotaract Club of Panadura in the year 2014/15.

The project has been continued over the years benefitting many talented young students to continue their studies without having to face barriers due to their socio-economic status.

The key objective of executing the project "Education For All" is to ensure with the support of the Rotaract Club of Panadura the school will attract more students for the grade one class in coming years.

This year the project happened on the 13th of January and the project was Cochaired by Rtr. Yasiru Amarathunga, Rtr. Kushan Dias and Rtr. Piyath De Alwis.

Through the project, we provided all necessary stationery items to 104 students of Gammadda Kanishta Vidyalaya in Rathkarawwa of the Badulla District.

We look forward to continuing to support the school for the future years as it can help elevate the quality of the reception of education within the school.

Rotaract club of Delhi Femina was chartered in July, 2016 and has been working for the past 4 years to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship.

The main aim of the club is to promote women empowerment and maintaining equality as well among all the genders. The club offers some fun events as well, giving the members and the needy people the networking opportunities and offering them a chance to have fun with their peers. This adds an immense value to the learning experience.

Our Covid Journey We all are aware of: “Gone are the days of inaugurating the ribbons of the events, And hence began is the new era of online mode.” We all are locked in our homes since more than one year.

In the last gone months, we have faced hardships with our daily basis needs too. we started with commencement of online meets with our teams. Organizing various games, quizzes and online movie nights with different projects working at online mode has made our club to work well even in the lockdown. Conducting various flagship programs, webinar and events in the online mode has made our interaction continued with the society. But after all this, we personally feel there lacks something which can only be completed when we will again switch to offline mood. But still we as a time are trying to put in best to channelize our working to the best we can. We as a team are working on:- “We have improved, we are improving and we will improve till the utmost end.”

24 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Bootcamp was launched by the Rotaract Club of Delhi Femina- RID 3011, with the aim of developing professional and vocational skills among the club members. Since the outbreak of the deadly pandemic of Covid 19, millions of people lost their jobs and there was an inevitable increase in the unemployment rates. This bootcamp, thus was a step towards making the members job-ready. In totality, 10 sessions have been conducted, which covered diverse topics from Microsoft Excel to Designing and Entrepreneurship skills. It was in the first phase launched only for the members, but now has been extended to the reach of rotaractors and non-rotaractors as well. The undertaken project, has so far benefitted about 200+ people. The journey of Bootcamp still continues.

Our Covid Journey Due to the COVID pandemic condition, everyone’s daily routine was rescheduled. For this pandemic condition, our club faced many Challenges. I think most of the clubs from my country were not prepared for online meetings and online activities. However, now we are used to these online meetings. Another challenge was doing projects. As our club is a community-based club, we do many Community projects along with club and international projects. But we overcome this situation and we did 9 club services, 9 community services, 2 international, and 2 professional service projects.

One of the main challenges was organizing the District Conference “Connect 2020” of RID 3281.

Our club was the host club and due to this condition, we were unable to organize the District Conference program physically. But for the 1st time in RID 3281, we organized the District Conference program in a Hybrid mood like physically and Virtually both.

Project Affinity On 30th July 2020, on the occasion of International Friendship Day, we did a project called “Project Affinity”. This project was organized by Rotaract’s ISD Group and Hosted by our club “Rotaract Club of Dhaka Fort”. From 8 countries, 14 Rotary International Districts, 30 Clubs were present there in the Mega celebration of friendship day in Rotaract.

Twin Club Joint Project- “CONCEALED” With the initiative of Rotaract Club of Dhaka Fort(RID 3281) & Rotaract Club of Pokhara GMC (RID 3292), and in collaboration with Rotary Club of Dhaka Fort(RID 3281) we completed a Twin Club Joint Project- “CONCEALED”. We distribute 415 blankets among the rural people of Raipura Upazila in the Narshingdi district on January 26, 2021. On 1st February 2021, our twin club Rotaract Club of Pokhara GMC donated 40 polar Blankets and 3, large sacks of reusable washed clothes, at the main office of 3 angels in 3 Angels, Pokhara.

Our Covid Journey DAs the pandemic strikes hard, we had to encounter multiple problems and challenges during the Transform year. Since there was a surge of COVID-19 cases in our area, our physical movement has also been affected. We cannot move freely, and our physical access was limited, and it was very tormenting for us. But with the help of modern technology, we were able to conduct some of our projects and activities virtually. And, we were so very thankful that there were Rotaract clubs and some organizations chose to partner with us. Despite the pandemic crisis, our club was still able to manage the different problems and challenges, although our activities were not enormous as other clubs did. However, we continue bringing our services to our community. This pandemic crisis serves as a lesson, and it helps us to make our club stronger because of the different challenges we had an encounter.

30 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

During the pandemic, we were able to conduct projects and activities. However, the most outstanding projects would be the Ayuda Na Maga Los Affectados and the Ayudahan 2.0. The project Ayuda Na Maga Los Affectados was conducted in the Barangay Tagasilay last August 2020, we were able to cater to approximately 15 families and gave them relief packs that would help them in their daily needs. The Ayudahan 2.0, is a project where we helped hundreds of Ayuda Na Maga Los Affectados individuals who had been affected by a fire incident. The devastation effect left a massive casualty, where almost all of their resources were burned and gone. With the help of our community-based club, we were able to initiate assistance for the victims, our club decided to give food packs for the victims since there were already lots of clothes donations. Surprisingly we able to accommodate around 300 individuals in that project.

Bangladesh has suffered from floods for many years. Almost every year a flood hits Bangladesh. Rotary year 2020-21 has been marked by the global (Covit-19 virus) Pandemic. This deadly virus is also attacking Bangladesh. Like every year, In Rotary year 2020-21 flood also hitts Bangladesh. In this ongoing Pandemic the Rotaract Club of Rangpur Central organized the Flood relief distribution project in the most rural & flood affected area at Khuniagach Union, Lalmonirhat . This place is a remote control area of Bangladesh, where the transportation system is totally broken. We have distributed flood relief for 250+ families.

Our Covid Journey Challenges were many, since the pandemic started it was difficult to Move out, meet friends and people, do physical projects, and worst thing was many amongst us were tested positive there for we were short of members but as we know very problem comes with solutions so did this pandemic.

We shifted to online mode of projects. All online may that be meeting or conference or chatting or fun or presentation. We infact shared out food online ( of course through photos) Dalgona coffee, cakes, and other luscious recipes of tasty food. But than were thing were coming under control we slowly started meeting some of them by following necessary SOPS etc . So yeah that's how we went through.

DROPS OF HOPE PROJECT CHAIRMAN : Rtr.Ashmita Gobre & Rtr.Mranali Naik DATE : 7th November 2020 VENUE : Kids Nest School, Ponda-Goa DETAILS : As the pandemic hit, our medical services were at a great task working for our community day and night. As we came to know the shortage of blood in blood bank we tried to extend our hand for help and arranged an Blood Donation Camp along with our parent club i.e. Rotary Club of Ponda and Hospicio Blood Bank, Margao for people of Ponda. We were successful in collecting blood from about 40+ donors. The camp was followed up by End Polio Awareness drive all around Ponda spreading the awareness about importance of Polio dose for children upto 5 years.

Joy of Giving The project was divided into two parts i.e. Distribution of Clothes & Sanitary Pads and Distribution of Clothes ,Notebook, Eatables, footwear. In prior one We took an initiative of distributing Sanitary Pads for women, Clothes and food in and around slum areas of Ponda. The girls from our club also explained the women do's & don'ts, hygiene to be maintained during menstruation. We distributed around 400 nos. of sanitary pads in this initiative and in latter project Kanya Vasati Griha run by Seva Sankalp at Loliem is a hostel for underprivileged girls & girls from marginalized family. Over 55+ girls reside in this hostel. This girls coming up from marginalized family do not even have access to education due to their family. background.

Rotaract Club Trenque Lauquen it´s a club from Argentina, Province of Buenos Aires.

Founded the 5th of September of 1993; however the members of the club started to reunite since April of that year. We belong to the district 4921 wish is better known as “The Pampagonia”.

Our Covid Journey The main problem we faced during this COVID pandemic was feeling of insecurity and demotivation of our members and the overload of personal work that interfered with the reunions and projects. We trough this talking about our problems and being supportive between fellowship.

36 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Doing service during this year of pandemic has been a challenge we´re trying to face with compromise and responsibility to help our community. Following the areas of interest of Rotary, and the objectives to generate a lasting positive impact, we could make two big projects: collect bills of $5 pesos (“Colecta billetes de 5 pesos”) and “Huertas Hogareñas”. The first of this project was related to health area and preventions of diseases: it´s start with donations of bills ($5 Argentinian pesos) that were out of circulation from a statement of Banco Central of Argentina, we “changed” the bills and all that was giving to GENAP, an organization that works and give help to cancer patients.

The second project was a sustainable and ecologic project, a promotion for the local economies; the underlying principle was to provide seeds to more of 25 families, so they can do their own garden.

Rotaract Club of Metro Bacolod is a community-based service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30 located in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines.

Organized last July 19, 2015 and Chartered last September 23, 2015. We are registered under the National Youth Commission's Youth Organization Registration Program (NYC-YORP) as a Youth-Serving Organization.

Our Covid Journey Despite the struggles due to the pandemic scare, it did not prevent our club from serving the communities. We have evolved amidst the pandemic through resiliency and realigning our values. We still make time to connect through virtual meetings and fellowships. Even with the limited resources that we have, we still extended our excellent service to our beneficiaries.

Hard work and determination are our primary tools in making our projects successful despite the pandemic.

The Rotaract club of the Marianas was re-chartered in 2007 with the assistance of our Rotary Club Sponsors. Since then, our organization has grown to provide community support and maintained a steady membership of around 20 inducted members. Along with the 5 goals set for all Rotaract Clubs, our club focusses our attention on the youth within our communities by instilling them with leadership and service skills!

Our Covid Journey “We, like many other clubs around the world, faced challenges when we were not able to meet face to face. It made me ask, “What is Rotaract if we are not able to physically help our community?” We felt that in the midst of a global pandemic, something is always better than nothing. We utilized Zoom for meetings, used Jackbox for online gaming, and grew closer to each other by creating a Rotaract Spotify collaborative playlist. We hosted fellowship events with clubs in the Philippines and Tokyo and even got to connect with clubs online like Sri Lanka that were farther away. We then shifted the focus inwardly, bettering ourselves through professional development initiatives so that we were more emotionally balanced, financially responsible, and physically fit individuals to best help our community once things started opening up.”

40 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

In March 2019, we started planning for an online version of a Leadership and Resiliency Program (LRP) for Guam high school students. They learned about goal setting, coping strategies, and building healthy relationships so that they could go out in their communities and create change. When working with youth, our goal is always to empower them to become leaders in their own communities. In total through online advertisement, we had 38 registrants for our program. We were most surprised by the fact that some would log on early to converse with us or others and be a part of a community in the midst of a pandemic. We are currently starting a new hybrid cycle of LRP to empower the youth on our island and genuinely enjoy serving our community with individuals who will shape our future.

The Rotaract Club of Karura is a community-based service club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Karura. It was formed in 20111 to bring together students, professionals and other persons of goodwill. It is aimed at developing professional and leadership skills as part of a larger plan to meet the social and physical needs of communities. The club’s signature project is tree planting and it entails transforming landscapes by planting a total of 1,000,000 tree seedlings through a program that began in 2016 and will run until 2026

Our Covid Journey During the pandemic the club faced some significant problems particularly due to the government restrictions on movement and social gatherings. One of the major challenges was cancelling our physical bi-weekly meetings. However, we remedied this issue by moving our meetings online to Zoom. Despite, initial challenges in adapting to this shift, it was a great move since it improved the attendance of members and guests significantly.

42 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Our most outstanding project was a 6th edition of a tree planting project at the Nairobi National Park dubbed “Bring Back the Green in the Park”. The project went ahead to win the 1st runners up in the Rotaract District 9212 Sam Owori Awards 2021 Outstanding Project Partnerships Award category. The project was in partnership with the Rotaract Club of Karura, Mishono Apparel, Wildlife Works, Oshwal Academy, Nairobi Greenline, Skippy Adventures, Rotary Club of Muthaiga, and Aromah the Restaurant. 650 tree seedlings were planted. The project aimed at creating a buffer to protect wildlife from humans and noise pollution. It was indeed a wonderful project given that Nairobi National Park in the only park located at the heart of a city, Nairobi.

Rotaract Club of Venugram Belgaum is sponsored by Rotary Club of Venugram Belgaum. RCVB is one of the leading and most active clubs in the Belgaum city.

Chartered on 10th September 2012, it is the most dedicated club in the whole RID 3170 with many special recognition and awards for the club and its members by the District like Best Emerging Club (2018-19), Best Club of Belgaum Zone, Best Rotaractor, Best Secretary, Best PRO (2019-20) among others.

Apart from all these, several charitable works like donations, visits to several orphanages and old age homes have also been done regularly. The purpose of Rotaract Club of Venugram Belgaum is to equally focus on all the avenues of service & provide an opportunity to young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development.

Our Covid Journey Amidst the sharp raise of the COVID-19 pandemic and shortage of oxygen in early 2021 we RCVB came up with providing oxygen supply and medical essentials in whole Belgaum District from April End. Up till June 04 2021 we have delivered 30 jumbo oxygen cylinders, 52 Mini Oxygen Support, 12 Oxygen Flow Meters, 9 Oxygen Cylinder refills and one oxygen concentrator to the needy and emergency patients. The project is still working 24 by 7 along with other projects like plasma donor information management system, financial assistance to needy in hospitals etc.

PROJECT - CONSTRUCTION OF COMPOUND WALL AT SNEHALAYA NGO - Snehalaya is a NGO school run in Khasbhag for for mentally challenged kids and our club has been associated with them right from its inception. During the lockdown, it's compound wall collapsed and place was exposed to some ill-practices. Taking note of this concern, our club decided to dismantle the remains and construct a new wall to preserve the sanctity of the place and beautify the surroundings. Members of Rotaract Club of Venugram Belgaum even painted the compound wall and the school gate & made it more magnifying. On 15th March 2020, the wall was inaugurated by the hands of President Rtr. Mehul Anil Shah. ZRR Rtr. Aniket Jadhav, Mr. DhanarajKavilkar , Members of Rotaract Club of Venugram Belgaum, Staff and Students of Snehalaya were present on the occasion.

PROJECT – ROTARACT Gyanpeeth - It was a year long project in which one individual who wish or suggests his/her book should to be read by anyone to gain knowledge, has to contact the organisers and give the details of the books. There will be a flyer released every 2 weeks notifying you with the details of the books available from which you can borrow. You can only borrow a book, if you are lending a book. And a person who wants to read any of the books available can borrow them for a time period and return them back. After checking the flyer with mutual consent of time and signatures, the books will be exchanged between the owner and reader. This process could be vice versa.Currently we have 60 books for the exchange and we have done 3 drives of the same.

On account of World Suicide Awareness Day, we the Rotaract Club of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science along with Rotaract Club of AMJC, RID 3232 and Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Majestic, RID 3201 took up our flagship project where we pinned a smiley badge to people and let them know that they matter. We were successful in pinning badges to 155 people around us by following social distancing as well. This project was a very special one and close to our hearts.

48 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

Tarang : On the prospect of World Rotaract Week , RC-HITK visited Sampaarc Orphanage to create bonds with children living there. We carried out a wall-painting activity with fellow Rotaractors and the residents of the orphanage . The children enthusiastically painted their favorite cartoon characters and the finished artworks brought beaming smiles on everyone’s face.

Pride Campaign: A series of online initiatives were organized by RC-HITK to contribute to our month-long pride celebrations in June. Several posters on the LGBTQIA community, history of pride month and how to be a good ally were made to create awareness. Rotaractors had an opportunity to put out their pronouns and express their feelings of proud through Art via “Artidote". A movie evening namely “ And Action!” themed on pride and mental health was organized to wrap up the celebration. This campaign was aimed to make people from all communities feel valid , seen and loved.

Rotaract Club of University College of Management Studies is a campus based club with an active members of 25 young men and women in District 9102 with the aim of providing an opportunity for young people to enhance their knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of out communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Our Covid Journey Rotaract Club of Ucoms every exit as an entrance to a new discovery, the COVID- 19 pandemic as thought as a lot of things either positive or negative. These are some the challenges the club faced during this COVID pandemic. In terms of membership, active members before the pandemic dropped from 60 to 30 percent as compared to pre-pandemic times. And also during and after the lockdown, most of our meetings were held online as a measure to control the spread of the virus, which was a barrier to the general operation of the club. During the lockdown we were we worked less hours towards our projects, which reflected in our impacts of our projects.

50 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

We believe in making the world a better place through service and that's what we do. So in the midst of the pandemic, Rotaract club of Ucoms decided to touch lives of Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) students in Ngleshie Amanfrom (kasoa) in the Central Region of Ghana with THE BASIC EDUCATION AND LEGACY Project. This project was basically about giving them stationaries and other materials that would help them in learning and also to help motivate students to push further in their academics.

Another Project which has also impacted lives is THE VOCATIONAL SKILL TRAINING PROJECT. Rotaract Club of Ucoms organized a training seminar for the people of Tolon, Tamale in the Northern part of Ghana with the objective of equipping them with skills such as bar soap and liquid soap making, sanitizer making and other detergents for commercial and domestic use. This was to help promote Decent work and economic growth and to help in the reduction of poverty.

Our Covid Journey The first COVID case in Kenya was announced on 12th March,2021.Some of the challenges experienced in our club since then was instant crippling of rotaract activities since social gatherings were banned, this consequently affected the financial capacity of the club as meetings were no longer there. Very quickly we started embracing the digital way of doing meetings through Zoom and Teams. This was where we at least got a chance to have few members attending meetings instead of paralyzing the meetings completely. The numbers were still low but we got to continue regardless. On the issue of our club’s projects, we as a club sent few members to represent us in donations and activities that needed our involvement, above all we kept in touch with each other through social media platforms to check on each other and keep people up-to-date.

52 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

WHEELS TO LIVE PROJECT - Our most outstanding project done during this pandemic is our signature project which is Wheels To Live. On this project we get to identify people from needy families who need wheelchairs and then gift them with the same. This year (2020-2021) in collaboration with Walkabout FoundationNanyuki, 11 wheelchairs were issued to beneficiaries who were all children and some wheelchairs were custom made to suite their different medical conditions and sizes. It is good to note that this is the year we have issued the largest number of wheelchairs compared to previous years.

Blood Donation - We also got involved in 3 Blood Drives,2 were organised by our club and one was a country wide blood drive where members legible donated blood and got to save lives. This is a zero budget activity.

Our Covid Journey TThe year 2020 was not an easy year for us, we needed to accept the harsh realities of our world. The full-stop in life was a shock for everyone, we needed to change because pur survival our Life was depended upon it.

The Rotaract Club of M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women consists of 36 board members with over 700 Green Rotarators, in the year 2020-21. The President of the club is Rtr. Senthiya Abirami, and the Secretary Rtr. Annindita. The club did an overall of 65 projects, and joined hands with the district for major events too like the Annual District Rotaract Conference - Sagaptham. Our club has also won 13 awards from the district this year, which we will cherish forever.

Our Covid Journey Despite the pandemic this year, our club didn't fail to implement projects in all avenues. As every club, we also faced few challenges in the beginning of the Rotary year, like coming with project ideas, creating a good bond with our fellow rotaractors etc... But as times passed, we got through the pandemic as a family, and have a bond with each other stronger than ever. We carried out our projects flawlessly and came up with various project ideas that caught the hearts of other clubs too. We made sure that every avenue was covered equally, and the projects we did made a difference in people's lives.

The two main projects that we as a club are really proud of are Thozha and Vocal4Local. Thozha is Community Service Project, which is an initiative to show gratitude to our fellow rotaractors from various other clubs, by providing monthly provision supplies, and thanking them, silently. Which means, their identity will not be revealed, and its a project done out of complete gratitude, and nothing else.

Vocal4Local is a project that aims to uplift local brands by raising awareness, playing hashtag games online with regard to the brands etc... We made sure that the products made from these brands were given away to our guests for every event that we organized.

Our Covid Journey With the Covid-19 pandemic, we are living through a crisis. For us it becomes uncertain to conduct any outdoor project due to lockdown of whole country. So, we decided to operate our project/meetings through online that help us to accomplished our activities.

RAC PENINSULA

Peninsula Rotaract Club: We charted in May 2010 and have been going strong ever since. We currently have 15 members and meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at a local community centre in Frankston. The board then meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday for club planning and if there is ever a 5th Wednesday, we use this for a fun social.

Our Covid Journey During the pandemic one of our challenges was member motivation and wellbeing. To combat this, we introduced a check in at the start of each meeting, where we asked each member to share how they were feeling and if they needed any support. This was a great way to start the meeting and ensured our members felt heard and supported. We also always tried to bring a bit of fun to each meeting whether a theme (wear a hat) or having a quiz at the end. We believe this was a strong factor to our continued high member attendance to our online meetings throughout COVID. Another challenge we faced was how to help the community as we were so used to hands on projects. We had a brainstorm meeting and decided we could still donate money and share wellbeing resources such as Headspace and Beyond Blue to help our community.

60 OUR BEST PROJECTS OF 2020 HOW IT WENT

In 2019 our club wanted to start our own hands-on project to help our community, we were particularly interested in an Education project. We found inspiration from another Rotaract Club; who had a similar project where they provided backpacks with essential school items to students in need. We contacted the club to find out more and loved the concept so started planning. To fundraise we held a trivia night, which was very successful. COVID then hit which halted our plans, but we didn’t let this stop us. We used COVID to research, with teachers what would be the most appropriate/beneficial items to place in the backpack, contacted schools to see if they’d be interested in participating and compared prices of where we could source the materials from. Once lockdown was over, we hit the ground running, brought the items and held a packing night during one of our meetings where we packed 105 bags in under 900 minutes! Then distributed to schools. A truly rewarding project.

The Rotaract Club of Central Calcutta was rechartered on 17th July, 2013and was revived in August 2015. The Club began with a member strength of 6 Charter Members and grew tothe highest strength of 73 members in the Rota Year 2017-18.

Currently the club has a member strength of 59. The Club has won several accolades down the year, including the best revived Club in the Rota Year 2016-17, the Best and Outstanding Club in the Rota Year 2017-18, the Best Club again in the Rota Year 2018-19 and the Second Best Club in the Rota Year 2019-20 at the Rotaract District 3291Awards.

Our Covid Journey The Rota Year 2020-2021was a very challenging year as no one had envisaged theCOVID-19 pandemic would continue and little did anyone contemplate that a second wave would hit several countries, including us as well. However, we stayed true to our motto of "Brighten the Corner Where You Are" and continued with our projects, quite a few of them being held online and a few offline(keeping the safety protocols in mind). The Club evolved to adapt to the "New Normal" and achieved milestones through literary events such as Soul Sutra and Ground Zero, international service events such as Bonding Beyond Borders and Suryaksha, provided relief and essential items to the flood-affected Sunderbans and helped people across the city through food and medicine delivery andverified oxygen leads through Operation Sunshine!

MESSAGE FROM RAC CENTRAL CALCUTTA "Leadership is an action, not a position". I on behalf of Team Central Calcutta wish to reach newer heights and be the change that we desire to see in the world. Keeping the current scenario in mind we shall still strive for excellence in Community service projects so that we can make a difference with the key of kindness and uplift the society.

Operation Sunshine -'Brightening The Corner Where You Are'- a humble endeavor to combat the Covid-19 pandemic by providing verified leads for oxygen cylinders and refilling, free delivery of basic medicines, verified leads for food delivery to covid positive patients, and setting up a COVID-19 helpline- Phase 1 -donation of grocery essentials at Save The Orphans, Phase 2- donation of grocery essentials at Mulvany House, Phase 3- providing rations and essential supplies at Sundarbans Phase 4providing basic ration at Gita Rani Bidhya Ashram, Phase 5- providing essential supplies to those affected by Cyclone Yaas at Gosaba Ground Zero (V6) is one of the oldest running flagship events of the Rotaract Club of Central Calcutta. Rota Year 2020-21 saw the sixth edition being hosted successfully inspite of the ongoing pandemic owing to certain relaxations in the safety guidelines. The event was especially a huge success as it was the very first inter-college event that saw an astounding amount of participation among college students post the lockdown in the City of Joy.

PROJECT: "CHILDREN'S DAY DELIVERY" Thanks to the teamwork of Rotaract Club La Rioja, we were able to carry out the celebration of Children's Day with success. We managed to share and enjoy a beautiful day with the children of the places located near La Rioja Capital.

This project was thought and worked on in the middle of a pandemic, so we had to design a protocol according to the situation.

The Rotaract Club of Katugastota Region was chartered on the 20th of August 2017 under the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Katugastota. With a total of 30 members inducted at first, the club has now reached a member total of past 70. With broadening projects and services in the main avenues of Club Service, Community Service, International Understanding, Professional Development, Sports and Recreation, the club also focuses on serving other avenues like Membership Development, Public Relations and Finances

Our Covid Journey The current Covid pandemic has had our world in its clutches for far too long. The Rotaract Club of Katugastota Region too did not waver in the face of the pandemic, but instead, the Club would dedicate it's time and resources towards the immediate needs of those around them.

Blood donation campaigns addressing the urgent need for blood (Drops of Hope), projects that helped provide those in need a brief respite from the chaos (Merry Little Christmas Party), and projects centered around the pandemic and awareness raising like Aluth Pola (Stop the Spread), an initiative that focuses on creating a platform for online businesses to grow and reach a larger demographic were all amongst the successful community service projects that the Club was able to carry out. Despite the various challenges and obstacles that everyone in the world had to undergo, the Rotaract Club of Katugastota Region has been able to thrive due to its dynamic members and their potent creativity, innovation, and camaraderie, aspects that are needed in every citizen and sought for in a leader.

GAMI SELLANG ‘21 - Project Chairperson : Rtr. Zafer Akber , Date : 17th April 2021 , Venue : Red Eagle’s Ground – Aruppola , Secondary Avenue : Fellowship & Membership Development Finance Sinhala and Tamil New Year season is a much-awaited period of the year for Sri Lankan people. Because it is a national festival that has been celebrated in Sri Lanka for centuries. Gami Sellang was conducted by the contribution of eight clubs in the Rotaract district 3220.

ALUTH POLA [STOP THE SPREAD] - Project Chairperson : Rtr. Thiranja Jayasundara Rtr. Meuru Tennakoon , Date : August 2020 - May 2021, Venue : Kandy City Limits / Virtual (Advertising), Secondary Avenue : COVID-19 Prevention The project 'Aluth Pola' was a project conducted by the Rotaract Club of Katugastota Region to rejuvenate small business owners. We partnered with Team Lavisco, which runs the website ‘lavisco.lk’.

In Phase I, we got 7 business owners, who were affected during the pandemic, and provided them with an online marketplace that facilitated the delivery of their products, getting orders, and handling monetary matters. In Phase II, we were able to connect more business owners and help them by mediating a partnership with lavisco.lk. We also provided each seller with a free advertisement, announced through the club's Social Media platforms, to provide exposure and introducing their products to a the local market.

The Rotaract Club of Informatics Institute of Technology (RACIIT) chartered in the year 2010. The club has been able to forge its name as one of the leading Youth service organizations in Sri Lanka. During the past 11 years, the club has served the community in numerous ways by conducting a massive number of projects, because of the virtuous acts showcased to those who are in need RACIIT was awarded as the Most Outstanding Rotaract Club of the year for the past three consecutive years at the 28th, 29th, and 30th Rotaract District assembly. RACIIT was awarded the Most Striving Rotaract Club of the year at the 31st Rotaract District assembly. With over 100+ projects completed during the previous year, RACIIT has become a youth organization that strives to allow the youth to develop as professionals and improve on international understanding.

Our Covid Journey Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 virus, we faced hurdles during this year; • Our club could not conduct the physical events as planned.

• It was hard to cope with the situation since everything was unpredictable.

• It was difficult to collect sponsorships because the economy was unstable.

To make the 2020-2021 Rotaract year a success, we needed to overcome these challenges.

• We cancelled off some physical projects and started to do virtual and hybrid projects.

• The club had prepared well for the projects, this helped us achieve our targets for the year.

• The club put more effort into creating posters, which helped us to get individuals interested in our projects.

Thus, our club was able to make the best of the Rotaract Year 2020-2021.

MESSAGE FROM RACIIT Warm wishes, First of all, I would like to thank the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu, Nepal for giving me this opportunity to extend my wishes in this multidistrict joint bulletin. Rotaract is a place to accomplish charity work while building long lasting friendships. In the last Rotaract year, we reintroduced a ground-breaking community service project named “E-Mithudama”. The project revolves around sustainability concepts. Laptops and desktops that were left to be dumped were tested whether they are in a working condition, along with the accessories used.

Afterwards a proper clean was given and then they were transported to selected schools. Once the lab was set up and open to be used, sessions on basic computing were conducted how to use a computer, Microsoft Office etc. so the students were given an introductory path for guidance in their computer literacy, a separate session was conducted to the mentors and teachers. Every 4 years the schools will have their labs renewed with new devices.

Our Journey I first of all met the Rotaract Club banner at cock viller in Federal University Of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State. I had plan of becoming a member of this great family but had no time and chance, when ever i tried to attend the meeting, i usually for get the time and even the days until am out of the University. I fell in love with the Rotary family again through the display of her project pictures on social media by my close friend. The i view the pictures, the more triggered my love and passion for Rotary.I joined this great and noble family and became a full Rotaractor on the 18th September 2016. I had a lot of funs starting from the very day i was inducted into the family.I was triggered to even charter a Rotaract Club in my home town of which i did. I had made a lot of friends round the, those i have seen and those i haven't seen before, although we chat on social medias like Facebook, WhatsApp e.t.c .I love attending Rotary/Rotaract functions because there is a lot of funs and i make new friends as well. I will love to advise the youths who will in one ways or others come across this magazine to join the Rotary family so as to serve because there is joy in serving and not just serving but serving humanity.

Rotaract Club of Malwa Professionals is a youth based organization whose aim is to provide services to the other by organizing various social activities for the betterment of society. The RCMP belongs to district RID 3040 the Charter date of the club was of 7 july 2014 the parent club of RCMP is Rotary club of indore professional recently for the tenure 2020-2021 RCMP club was awarded for the “Best fellowship project” and also “For the world rotaract week”. The RMPC is doing tremendous work in all perspectives of district 3040.

Our Covid Journey COVID-19 has placed us all in unprecedented territory. Members of our organizations are faced with decisions they never believed they would encounter. The members of our club who were not from the city went back to their respective homes and even after the lockdown was opened, some members could not come back due to lack of transport service, due to which we had to face a lot of trouble in holding meetings and doing activities. Despite all this, we did not give up and gave our 100 percent, planned meetings and projects on an online platform, Motivated our members to enthusiastically take part in activities our club is organizing. Held virtual online club, board and committee meetings to help keep club members connected with each other, and to fight off the harmful effects of social isolation. finally our hard work paid off and we are awarded with 2 awards from our district 3040, one for Best fellowship project - Ace the education and another for World Rotaract week.

"Ace the Education"- The aim of this project was to celebrate World Education Day. To complete the criteria of Sister Club Agreement, we carried out this project. To highlight the importance of education we initiated this project. In the initial stage the club decided to divide the event in 2 parts. 1. In the first part they decide to donate notebooks to the needy students. 2. In the second part they decide to teach the students and do fun activities with them .
