Greetings and Welcome to the 2016 White, Minor, Wells Family reunion.

Can you believe it’s been 10 years? Well, it has and we are so excited that you have decided to join us here in the wonderful city of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for a fun filled weekend of family, fellowship and memories.

We are thankful that you have arrived safely but even more grateful we are for God’s many blessings unto us since the last reunion. We’ve said farewell to loved ones and hello to new ones.

Although our families have grown, moved and spread out far & wide; we remain rooted in love.

The reunion planning committee have worked hard to make this weekend as memorable as possible. We certainly hope you’ll commit to making this reunion an enjoyable, safe and exciting one with your cooperation and prayers in advance.

This weekend is a celebration of the legacy of our family - a chance to reconnect with one another – and hopefully challenge us to form greater bonds of unity for the next generations to come.

First found in Lincolnshire where they are conjecturally descended from Gilbert de Ghent who held the village and mill of Well from the Bishop of Bayeaux at the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066. Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Gregory Wells, who arrived in Virginia in 1635; Thomas Wells of Rothwell, Northampton, who settled in Connecticut in 1636, where he later became the Governor.

First found in Herefordshire where they were seated from very early times and were granted lands by Duke William of Normandy, their liege Lord, for their distinguished assistance at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 A.D. Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Anne Mynor and her husband who settled in Virginia in 1637; John Minor settled in Virginia in 1663; Samuel Minor settled in New York in 1663; Thomas Minor settled in Conn. in 1630.

Spelling variations:

Early History: First found in Durham, where the WHITE family held a seat from very early times. Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: William White and his wife Susannah, who immigrated to Plymouth in 1620 with their sons Resolve and Peregrine (the latter born in Cape Cod Harbour on board the Mayflower in 1620.

Notice the name Green Williams just under Jannie Peppers name.

Green Williams is believed to be the brother of Williams Wells , other census reports shows Green using both the Williams and the Wells last name once upon a time.

There is a story regarding the Williams & Wells relation but more research is needed.

And you’ll notice that William & Jenny named one of their sons Green Wells.

You’ll notice a niece named Janie Peppers underneath Jessie Wells. (Janie is the daughter of Mollie Peppers who passed away when Janie was nine so she was reared by her aunts & uncle, one being Jenny Peppers-Wells Jannie Bennet-Hicks daughter of George & Mollie Peppers-Bennet.
