WHAT IS MICROBLADING? Microblading is a form of tattooing. Unlike a regular tattoo, microblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine. Hair-like strokes are drawn with the tool to mimic natural hairs in the brows that lasts up to three years.

During the microblading process, the technician uses a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one. The meticulous, detailed process takes around two hours to complete. Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, followed by a liquid anesthetic. The process is relatively painless. The first hour is spent drawing the shape in with a removable pencil. This is the longest part and the most important step. During this time, the best customized shape for every client is chosen. The best part about the technique is that there is no down time. Your technician will recommend a follow-up one month after your appointment.

Unlike eyebrow extensions, microblading is low maintenance. After healing, you can rub them and enjoy swimming. No special care is required, except for a brief touch-up once a year.

If your brows are sparse and you would like to wake up in the morning with perfect brows, microblading is worth the investment. Be wary of places that claim to complete the process in one hour. It's not a rushed procedure, and it cannot be done in an hour!

blush application for mature women Applying the wrong shade of blush too low on the face can make one look older. Choose a blush that adds youthfulness to your face. Stay away from a brown color blushes because they can end up looking muddy, dull, and like the makeup is just sitting on your skin. On the other hand, choosing a product that is too soft in color, can wash you out and age you as well. To find the right shade, pinch your cheeks and try to match the natural color that you get when you actually blush. When applying, start at the height of the apple of your cheek and blend it up and back. Be careful with contouring, as well. If you do choose to contour, do it softly and not too low on the cheek bone. Applying blush on the bottom of the cheekbone is a no no. You want to place it higher to define and lift your features. As we age... we want everything to be lifted up!
