01 / Community Based Outpatient Center / 2023

Project Type: Healthcare

Role: Planner, Designer, Building Section Renderer - Apogee Consulting Group

Concept: The VA Salt Lake CBOC is a 160,000 SF outpatient center offering diverse services. I helped organize the layout of the two floor plans to ensure efficient space flow and collaborated with my team on the exterior design, which was inspired by Salt Lake City’s landscape and materials. To maximize natural light, we incorporated clerestory windows for the second-floor teamwork spaces, solar tubes for the first floor, and large two-story glazing in the lobby and conference rooms, allowing light to flood into the building for improved staff and patient experience.

02 / Mental Health Clinic / 2024

Project Type: Healthcare

Role: Planner, Designer, Renderer - Apogee Consulting Group

Concept: The Eugene Healthcare Center is a 60,000 SF outpatient mental health clinic, serving as an extension of the main Eugene VAMC. In this project, I helped organize the building plan, design the exterior building and landscape, and produce interior and exterior renderings. The exterior design was influenced by the architectural language of the existing campus, using similar materials and glazing patterns to create a cohesive look. The lobby is divided into two sections: a lowerceiling area providing nodes of privacy for those with trauma and a more open waiting lounge for individuals who prefer a spacious environment.

03 / Primary Care & Women’s Health Clinics / 2020

Project Type: Healthcare

Role: Individual Project - Advanced Urban Design Studio

Concept: At Apogee Consulting Group, my team designed many proposals for the new VA Primary Care and Women’s Health buildings, ultimately the design I proposed was chosen by the client. The focus was on connecting patients and staff to green spaces, incorporating an outdoor waiting area, shaded playground, and a tranquil green space for relaxation. The design, inspired by the existing campus’s color-coded buildings, blends functionality with aesthetics, highlighting my ability to create user-centered, innovative spaces.

04 / Ecocyle: Floating Commune / 2021

Project Type: Multifamily/Hospitality Campus Master Plan

Role: Partner Project with Allison Glavey - COTE Top 10 Studio

Concept: In my first year at Clemson University, I designed a self-sustainable commune on Seattle’s Lake Union to reduce pollution through seaweed and bamboo ecosystems. The project provided affordable housing for young professionals and families while creating jobs in harvesting and processing. It prioritized green spaces and community, using excess materials for shelters or sustainable building. This project reflects my commitment to sustainability and innovative design.

Not only can the harvested bamboo be sold, but it also can provide construction materials for the site

Individuals who are employed to upkeep and harvest the bamboo live on site.
