Transverse bridge : As the position of the blocks they don’t tie up the courtyard space. As the solution they connected via structures and they increased more circulation comparing the normal longer corridors
Prominence of the library :
Airing blocks : The blocks based the orientation of the Noth east winds, so the class rooms aerated using venturi effect although the class rooms are cross ventilated and the position of the rooms tilted to the prevailing winds .
A large space can envelop and contain a smaller space within its volume Visual and spatial continuity between the two spaces can be easily accommodated, but the smaller, contained space depends on the larger, enveloping space for its relationship to the exterior environment.
FORM AND IDEALOGY :
Interactive voids : As bridges connect the both classrooms they create voids in the between spaces of the courtyards they interactively used for kindergarten. Students can use the voids for reading, writing, dexterity in the open spaces with airing blocks
Day arc : The blocks are positioned with both zephyr and the day arc they engineer the lighting the corridor and the classrooms. The levitated Concrete roof (.45m ) cause the reduction of over heat from the roofs
Visual interaction : As the transverse crosses typical on the first floor they connect classrooms although visually connect Ground floor voids and the voids on the first floor closed by the nets that people with actually love to use that.

[ Site - Nagapatinam ] - 8th Semester LIBRARY+ CAFE Forcing users indirectly to use the library with Sustainable Architecture

FORM AND IDEALOGY : SPATIAL ZONING :
Addition of ingress : After substracting the volumes to increase the visual connectivity and more diffused litghting and entry of the cafe’s aligned with landscapes
On site feautures - Ground floor with minimal amount of seatings placed with enrsing on site feaures of trees in the back of the container spaces .
Form fusing Cafe : The basic form based on the idea of symmetrical planning also the form fused with form of cafe container blocks
Green vistas : By using the on-site greens as landscape treatment and ground of the cafe space vista for the users and cool breezes and lights from the leaves make space pleasant .
Library related spaces Cafeteria related spaces
Neglecting volumes : Spatial volumes may be subtracted from a form to create recessed entrances, positive courtyard spaces, or window openings shaded by the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the recess
The main idealogy of the cafe & library design is the imposing users indirectly to the library by planning the entry via library to the cafe. Users were indirectly imposed by the visual connection to the library users, The users can access the library and order some snacks and they can read at the library by enjoying a snack
In design wise - The containers used as the replacing elements for the vertical and horizontal plannar elements in the way cheering up the Sustainable development in the vernacular areas using the on-site feautures the for oppurtunity for the design

Phase 1 : Positioning the 2 blocks with a space 7.5 m to create a entry for the cafe and voiding for the ground floor . Phase 6 : Voiding the spaces for windows and doors with wooden frames and adding vertical columns at the corners of blocks
Conceptual phase 2 : Arranging the container blocks as the defining the 3 level of floors and they connected with vertical connecting element . Phase 5 : Adding the horizontal element for the roof structures for shading and they designed with pargola style with rain water prevention
Phase 2 : Clearancing the space for Ground and placing the slab at top for the vertical connection Phase 7 : Adding vertical supporting structures at the roof and the stair for the accessing the top floor for open spaces . Phase 3 : In the additon of spaces 2 blocks positioned perpendicular to the blocks to create 1st level for the cooking & serving area Phase 8 : Adding the roofs with handrails and vertical supporters and adding the glass blockers at the stairs for diffusion of Lights
Conceptual phase 1 : Main idea of this design is the using the container as the replacing elements of the vertical and horizontal elements and emphasing Sustaible Architecture Phase 4 : Adding vertical connecting element to reach the lvl 2 and adding the balustrades to the edge of the containers .

Normally crowd in a bus cannot be controlled by the bus conductors. People usually gets in and out of the bus with both entry and exit which makes a crowd there The site is located in Sirkali, nagapattinam district, Tamilnadu. It is a tier 2 bus terminal which has the population around 53,000. Sirkazhi bus terminal is one of the top bus depot in Sirkali which is located in the center of the town. It covers upto a radius of 1 km of sirkazhi town There are 32 commercial shops around the bus stand . There are 24 seating are provided in waiting area Usually 1800 people uses the bus stand per hour Number of bus parking bay is 14 400 parking lots are allotted
MORE NO.OF PASSENGERS (exceeding the maximum no.of shouldpassengerstravel)travelling in a bus causes easy spread of disease . Pedestrians moving in both directions in a corridor Improper parking of vehicles leads to over crowding
As of now the population of india is 1.35 billion. Among 90% of the public transport covered by buses. Buses are an important tranport in india. Indian buses carrying roughly 70 million people per day. Buses are the most and cheapest mode of transport in which daily workers, school students, merchants, used to travel. Panicness is the word comes to the mind when we think of indian bus stands. We don’t see panicness in airport because the users are maximum well educated. In the case of indian bus terminals the users are uneducated which causes over crowding to get on the bus. In order to control them in this pandemic situation, the existing bus terminal is redesigned fully by the installation of new structures ,without affecting the existing structure. The panicness is solved by giving waiting area according to the destinations. In the waiting area itself the people should get thier tickets from the conducter in order to avoid the over crowding due to panicness and also guiding the uneducated people to their destinations .
. INTRODUCTION : ANDC 2020-21
In this terminal the Buses normally parked or pickup pasengers as always the passengers walk to the terminal as open spaced with no social distance .
PANICNESS: Whenever a bus arrives, passengers gets alert and all of them urge to get on the bus first in order to get a seat which results in over crowded and easy spread of diseases .
People will rushes to the buses no que’s or line so the passengers will skattered The ideology of this design create a private space so the people with indivual buses tuses the indivual spaces they get the tickets and stuff in inside the terminal Although the spaces is indicually sanitized with maintained social distance so it can reduce the spreading Phase 2
.
. Phase - 1

There are 4 water bodies given which stops the people in the drop area from going into the pickup area directly . A Trapezoidal structure is given to avoid the over crowding to get on the bus . People use both the ways to enter and exit bus terminal so in order to disparate the connectivity between entry and exit, two separate spaces are given to drop and pickup . By giving different waiting area for different destinations controls the panickness in the bus termninal .
S.S.A.147
A long broad pedestrian way is given in order to avoid the crowd in the entry and exit where they urge to get a seat onbusthe.
Recyled water from commercial shops and restaurants is used in the water body and it is changed once in every 10 hours ,Before getting into the bus the passengers should get their ticket from the conduvtorin the waiting area it self The entry of the redesigned bus terminal is separated into bus way and pedestrian way. Arrival and departure area is separated into two different spaces . The openness of the structure keeps the waiting area well ventilated and dried
Overall plan Entry of the buses Terminals
. DESIGN : ANDC 2020-21 SITE PLAN :

The parking bay in the existing structure is replaced by waiting area and seperate parking space is given for bus .
IMPACTS : ANDC 2020-21 DESIGN IMPACT : STURCTURAL IMPACT :
Existing Structure Phase 1 Phase - 2 Phase - 3
Steel roofing fixed on the ht of m Light weight wall about in the ht of 4m .
There are spaces for Eight buses can be parked in the arrival space .
The design of hotel is little modified like the highway restautrant .
Restaurant and empty space Bus, stopping area Restaurant and Arrival point
Roadside Shop Pedestrian way to terminal
Trapezium block - separate the passenger Corridor to reach bus Corridor to reach Waiting area
The existing terminal design is customiszed for the pandemic situation without disturb ing the existing master design . This design is split as arrival and departure points for clarity .
A light weight wall structure is add ed to the existing structure in order to barricade the visual connectivity between the waiting area and the pick up area and high roof structure is added to promote stack effect . The enclosed structure leads to produce more heat and restrict proper air circulation so, high roofs are installed to promote stack effect S.S.A.147.
The way of exit for passengers and the restaurant are with toilets exist in the design of arrival space
