ARCHITECTURE PORTFOLIO SELECTED WORKS 2023
Academic University of Toronto | Toronto, Ontario 2020 - Current
About Me Born and raised in San Francisco, California, I moved to Toronto in 2020 to pursue my undergraduate degree in Architecture. I have always been fascinated in architecture and architectural technology since I was a child, and have always found wonder and inspiration in the built, urban, environment around me in Toronto and San Francisco. My design inspirations come from a mix of organic and naturalistic approaches as well as concepts of modularity and sustainability to architecturally design a better future through design and technology. 01: San Francisco Arts Pavillion This project created a multipurpose community space capable of housing art and acting as a communal center for the neighborhood. Acting as a type of gazebo, its organic shape and irregularity speaks to the organic nature of creativity and is meant to inspire wonder and creation. Located atop a mountain, the viewpoint is meant to encapsulate the view of the city skyline while contrasting it with local art on display highlighting local artists while providing a community space to reflect, think and gartner inspiration.
Render of interior view of pavillion facing downtown San Francisco, done on Vray
West Sectional (Upper Left), East Sectional (Upper Right), and Elevation (Bottom Center) showcasing the organic curvelinear forms of the pavillion as well as the scale of the pavillion in cotmparison to a typical human and local trees.

02: Architectural Object Casting This project featured academic research on architect and interior designer Eileen Gray along with object selection from her projects. The object selected was a side table and bench and the dimentions were infered from related objects sorrounding as well as generalizations. Then the object was sectioned and abstracted and eventually built in full 1:1 scale to be used in the next part of the project, plaster casting of the object as a positive to make a negative architectural cast.

03: Modular Housing Unit Proposal This project propoed initiatives to increase square footage and housing in a suburban neighrobhood in Toronto. The proposal proposes the grouping of driveway types to categorize the homes and create small spaces based on the footprint of the driveway. The units are theoretical and could be used for office space, gym, single unit dewllings, etc with the main aim and purpose of prototyping potential posibilities on the footprint of a plot of land.

06: Parametric Roof Design This project used grasshopper based programming and variable inputs to generate a custom roof structure. With the input of a organic shape and truss width, the grasshopper script is able to produce a custom roof structure able to be adapted to any building type as pictured. Additionally, in this process the truss’s are able to manipulate to various surface’s and heights through the columns generated at the bottom of the truss.
Grasshopper Script
Using a combination of custom parameters and a surface inout, this grasshopper script is capable of generating an adaptive, parametric, roof truss capable of adapting to any type of surface imputed and distributed into u and v value number of subsections for the trusses to generate a roof type structure.

07: Academic Research - Zanzibar This research project focused on highlighting the transitions that occured in the formation of Zanzibar’s terrain from past to future. Using academic sources, scientific journals and geological data, research informed the design of graphics to communicate these finding in three concise timelines highlighting the past, current and predicted changes taking place on the terrain of this island overtime teaching viewers about trends, human developement and geographical formation of the land.
Current Terrain of Zanzibar as highlighted through research, trends, and developements happening concurrently in the region.
Projected terrain of Zanzibar defined by scientific data, trends and upcoming developements in the region.
