Hands-On Learning
Engage directly with peers, faculty, and clients in in-person lab sessions designed to transform classroom knowledge into professional-level competence.
Immersion Summit Labs
Each term, you’ll come to Quincy for Hawk OTD Summit Labs—two focused, multi-day, on-campus experiences that turn online learning into confident, professional-level skills. Work side-by-side with faculty, peers, and clinicians; engage with clients in realistic scenarios; and leave each lab ready to apply what you’ve learned in practice.
Small Cohorts and Mentorship
At QU’s OTD program, you’ll join a small, supportive cohort where relationships come first. Faculty and staff know you by name, check in often, and provide individualized guidance from your first semester through fieldwork and capstone. You’ll collaborate in peer learning teams, receive 1:1 mentoring on projects and professional goals, and get timely feedback, advising, and career support. Together, we celebrate progress, tackle challenges, and prepare you to thrive as a compassionate, practice-ready occupational therapist.
