Since it was a Facebook chatbot, it has its own Facebook page, ATOM Damayan Scientian Help Desk, where the postings of the demonstration video and FAQs are posted. It is being managed by the working committee and volunteers of the Damayan project. The project was successfully executed and implemented and it garnered a wide reach despite the limited time for preparation. Most of the students also have a difficult time doing academic activities because of unclear instructions. Some key faculty members are present in the meeting and have stated that these concerns will be checked. They also added that they would do everything they can to alleviate the difficulties experienced by the students. Photo(s):

To All The Scientians I’ve Loved Before Core Value: Makatao Project Timeline: February 12 and 14, 2022 Participants: All QCSHS Students Project Description: The QCSHS-SSG, along with the CGL 9 have formed a partnership with QCSHS Banyuhay and QCSHS English Club to create a Valentine’s Day-themed program. This program aimed to bring Scientians together with interesting life and love stories from the students themselves, featuring Sir Jack Bacabac, a guest speaker and well-awaited and requested from the school community. The theme, “To All The Scientians I’ve Loved Before” was inspired by a popular show based on the trilogy by Jenny Han, “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.” The Scientian Community embraced its literature that connects more to the youth and inspires us further about love. Project Implementation & Post Assessment: To achieve the bond we wanted as one Scientian community, the QCSHS Executive Committee brainstormed the theme we wanted for our Valentine’s Day program. This included pub mats, and posters, all drafted by our SSG President, Humphrey Soriano. Planning started as early as February 1st of 2022. Kiara David, the chairwoman of CGL 9, spearheaded the program along with her CGL. They were in charge of stream layouts, sorting the letters, creating the slides, as well as writing the script. SSG Secretary, Cole Sanchez, lead the one-man technical team, as the program was streamed on Facebook Live on the QCSHS SSG FB Page. Hosted by the CGL 12 Chairwoman, Rinoa Sanchez, along with CGL 9 Chairwoman Kiara David, and CGL 9 Treasurer, Julia Viloria, all three were assigned to read Scientian-written letters, present performers, as well as promote the Grade 11 and 12 Entrepreneurship Companies. Feedback from the school community happened the day after the live, with praises from teachers and parents, a 2 and half hour long program, well-planned and heartwarming. Scientians were active during the live as there were interactive games, raffles, and prizes. A two-week plan was pulled off and resulted in a successful day. The program peaked with 41 shares, 170 likes, and 1,500 comments during the live. Truly a heartwarming experience. Photo(s):

Marilag: The Women of Today Core Value: Makatao UN Sustainable Development Goal: 4, 10 Project Timeline: March 20, 2022 - March 30, 2022 Participants: QCSHS students Project Description: In celebration of Women’s Month, QCSHS-SSG held “Marilag: The Women of Today” with the aim of highlighting women who have broken the stereotypical stigma. From the title itself, “The Women of Today,” the project emphasized the presence and power of women in different fields to inspire and empower other women as well. There were three activities that summed up this event: Display Picture (DP) Blast, Profile Features, and a Facebook Livestream. Project Implementation & Post Assessment: Overall, renaissance art is the theme of this event. Hence the inclusion of paintings and a brown palette in the design of the DP frame. Last March 20, the students engaged in this activity by simultaneously using the frame and changing their Facebook profile pictures with the woman/women they look up to. Afterward, the profile features of six empowered women in different fields — STEM, ABM, Performing Arts, Journalism, and Sports — were uploaded on the Humans of QueSci Page. In order for this activity to be successful, the school’s paper publication, both in English (The Electron) and Filipino (Banyuhay), helped by having interviews with the women featured. All the women are either current students or alumni of QCSHS. This activity had eight posts—one for a teaser where all the women are included; six for the articles and key statements of each woman; and a 3-minute video containing the advocacies of the said women. The teaser reached 4,655 people, of whom 584 engaged. The next six posts reached an average of 2,779 people and 436 engagements. Each post had a key statement on the publication material and a whole article about the interview as the caption. Lastly, a 3-minute video wrapped this activity up, having a reach of 3,182 people with 523 engagements. To conclude the Women’s Month celebration, a Facebook livestream was held where three empowered women talked about their experiences of defying the preconceived standards and expectations of a patriarchal society. A student, a teacher, and an alumni of the school were the resource speakers. In addition, Senator Risa Hontiveros took part in this event as our honored guest. There were also musical interludes prepared by Juax Samiley and DoubleThink who sang songs both to serenade and empower women. The teaser for this activity reached 12,833 people with 1,210 engagements. While the Facebook livestream itself reached 3,063 people and 1,130 engagements.

41

With more than a thousand of reach, “MARILAG: The Women of Today” was a successful event. The officers in-charge made sure that clubs and committees were maximized. Despite the limited time to prepare, the project still managed to follow its original timeline and was finished right before the month ended. Highlighting the presence of women in different fields, which was the goal of this project, was also evidently achieved as all the activities catered to the diverse power that women can hold. Agham. Bayan. Botong Scientian. Core Value: Makabansa UN Sustainable Development Goal: 4, 10, 17 Partner Organization(s): Pinas Forward Project Timeline: February 21, 2022 Participants: All QCSHS Students, voters and non-voters Project Description: As the 2022 elections nears, a lot of young and first timers registered to vote in the Commission on Elections (Comelec). These new voters, as well as those who became politically inactive, are undeniably in need of guidance and reminders for voting the right candidates. In line with this, the QCSHS-SSG came together as one to have a statement of advice not only to the new ones but also to all the voters as a celebration of the anniversary of the EDSA revolution. Naming it “Agham. Bayan. Botong Scientian.,” the QCSHS-SSG aimed to let everyone know their stand and hear their voice as they believe that the Filipino youth’s future is widely affected by those who sit in the government. Project Implementation & Post Assessment: The project “Agham. Bayan. Botong Scientian.” included two postings — a change of the QCSHS SSG Facebook page profile and a 1-minute video. Wasting no time, the QCSHS-SSG decided to film the statement right after their meeting with the new principal Mrs. Carolyn Simon. The video was posted last February 25 in commemoration of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, captioning it “The Revolution that surprised the world.” According to their post, “Let our voices be heard so that there is no going back to the past. A repeat of the EDSA revolution must not be brought back to light; for our country's future, we must be more aware and knowledgeable in order to not recreate the past and to shape a better future.” Reaching 1,695 people and 369 engagements, the QCSHS-SSG meaningfully celebrated the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution and effectively voiced their stand as representatives of the Scientian student body. Reste Forte: A Donation Drive for Madame Sheryl Verdadero Core Value: Makatao UN Sustainable Development Goal: 3 Project Timeline: April 27, 2022 to May 19, 2022 Total Amount Generated: PHP 243,550.00 Beneficiary: Mrs. Sheryl Verdadero Project Description: “Reste Forte” was a donation drive for the operation of Mrs. Sheryl Verdadero, a QCSHS teacher who was diagnosed with an aneurysm. The fundraising event was composed of four activities, namely display picture (DP) blast, benefit Mobile Legends (ML) and Valorant tournament, AMORE: Letters for Madam Verds, and a benefit concert. Project Implementation & Post Assessment: The QCSHS-SSG first launched the donation drive with publication material informing everyone about the project, donation channels, and benefits activities to be expected. Along with the post is the transparency sheet of the donations received. The first post reached 28,721 people with 2,897 engagements. Followed by this is the encouragement to join the DP blast that was posted last April 28, 2022, with an update of the total donations as of that date. The QCSHS-SSG also provided a means to send letters and messages of support and uplift to Mrs. Verdadero through AMORE: Letters for Ma’am Verds—a google form where people can input their letters. Several posts regarding the number of donations accumulated were published for updates and transparency. Even before the tournament started, the donations reached PHP 115,375 in just a span of 4 days. Moreover, there were 16 teams for Valorant and 5 teams for ML, who registered with an entrance fee of PHP 300 per team. The fees were also coursed through the donation channels. The last activity is the benefit concert that was streamed last May 14, 2022. Several performers participated in this event, including Anacreous, Mirasol, Doublethink, Indak Scientia, TeamBulan, Han Herrera, Jeschel Nava, and Juax Samiley, who are all part of the QCSHS community. The performances ranged from singing to dancing and spoken poetry. Even if the activities for this event were all done, the QCSHS-SSG decided to still open the donation drive until the last donation was made last May 19, 2022. The transfer of donations to the family of Mrs. Verdadero concluded this fundraising event. Overall, “Reste Forte” was victorious, ending with a total of PHP 243,550.00 donations accumulated. Upon Mr. Joe Verdadero’s receival of the donations, he sends a message thanking everyone for all the contributions and prayers for the successful operation and fast recovery of his wife, Mrs. Sheryl Verdadero. #ArawNgMgaBayani #NationalHeroesDay #StandWithFrontliners #StandWithMedicalWorkers PHOTO:

grant, we pray, that as you preserved her from very stain by virtue of the Death of your Son, which you foresaw so through her intercession, we, too, may be cleansed and admitted to your presence. through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever." -Sources: Fernandez, D. D. The Remedios Legacy Genuine. Attentive. Sympathetic. To start this year right, let us all reminisce the past and present influence of Ma’am Remedios P. Danao, a genuine, attentive, and sympathetic leader who Kisay is grateful for. As a leader and public servant, she has continuously tried to listen to student and administrative concerns. As she begins a new journey, let us wish her continued success and strive to carry on what she has started in Quesci's mission of empowering minds and strengthening characters. The Remedios Legacy. #InPursuitofScientianExcellence PHOTO:

F. Thank You Kenneth & Message of Grief We extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of our dear Scientian, Kenneth Balagtas (2005-2022). May your soul rest in the loving arms of our Creator. Thank you, Kenneth. "Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. ... Like the seed buried in the ground, you have produced the harvest of eternal life for us; make us always dead to sin and alive to God." —----

#InPursuitofScientianExcellence PHOTO:

H. International Women’s Day DO NOT LET THOSE TWO EXTRA LETTERS DEFINE YOU! YOU ARE A WOMAN! POWERFUL. DEPENDABLE. SMART. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let us remember the beautiful and strong women that played an important role in our family, lives, and society. For so many years, women have been subjected to so many restrictions and prejudice set by the two extra letters. In a society dominated by men, our idea of a gender-equal world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination must start within our own homes, schools, workplaces, and communities. Together, let us forge the positive visibility of women, advocate calls for policies protecting gender equality, and challenge gender stereotypes, discrimination, and bias. The QCSHS SSG is one with the celebration of International Women’s Day with the theme, “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow.” Let this be a reminder to #BreakTheBias and form solidarity in actively calling out gender bias. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2022 #BreakTheBias #InPursuitofScientianExcellence PHOTO:
