April 16th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm What is the format of the evening ? We have planned an open interactive and engaging format which will enable everyone to have direct conversations with our prospective candidates, both regarding local and global issues. We think this approach will be more interesting and fun than the more traditional hustings (including for the prospective candidates). The PTFA are also providing refreshments including cake through out the event !-) What is a Transition Town? Transition Initiatives are happening all over the world in local communities where groups, communities and neighbourhoods are addressing the issues of sustainability for themselves and the planet. This is through practical projects in areas of food, transport, energy, education, housing, waste, arts etc. These are smallscale local responses to both making the community a happier and more resilient place to live as well facing the global challenges of climate change, economic hardship and shrinking supplies of cheap energy. Over the course of our evening with Tulip, Simon, Maajid, Rebecca and Magnus, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss and explore solutions for building a resilient future and what this might mean for us in our small patch of London Swiss Cottage
