Clive Conway Productions presents An Audience with Michael Portillo 7.30pm

Controversial former MP for Kensington & Chelsea, and former Shadow Chancellor, Michael Portillo shares his experiences and his many fascinating stories and takes audience questions. From a leadership contest and dramatic election defeat to his regular TV appearances and work as a columnist, Michael Portillo has many an interesting story to tell. In 2003 he began the weekly political discussion programme This Week on BBC1 with fellow presenters Andrew Neil and Diane Abbott MP. Tickets: £14.00 | £12.50 (Friends)

Performed by Skimstone, an ensemble of award winning artists, composers and performers based at Newcastle Arts Centre, Fish and the Yesterday Song is a new audio / visual and live performance of beautifully woven poetic memories and mythical tales, performed with stunning projections, and soundscapes - humorous, haunting, magical, and mysterious. The celebrated broadcaster, raconteur, writer and cook combines comedy with inventive cuisine (Hardeep was runner-up on the first series of Celebrity Masterchef) in a wonderfully funny, laid back evening’s entertainment. Just think Ready Steady Cook but with great cooking and funny anecdotes, all delivered by Glaswegian Hardeep in his own unique, articulate and utterly charming way.
