After finishing the season in fourth place in the OUA East division the Gaels drew the fifth place Laurentian Voyageurs in their opening playoff match. It would be the third time in five games that the two teams met with both regular season matches ending in draws. The teams traded second half goals, and the game went to penalty kicks where the Voyageurs converted on five to the Gaels four thus ending their season. Four Gaels were named to the OUA All-Star team, including Joe Zupo who was named a first team All-Star. David Tom, Jordan Brooks and Christidis took spots on the second-team. It was the second time being honoured for both Zupo and Brooks while Christidis was honoured in his rookie season.
