Season Recap It was a very successful 2009-10 campaign for the women’s rugby team. After finishing the regular season with a 4-1 record, they knocked off the Trent Excalibur in an exciting OUA Quarter-final matchup to advance to the OUA Semifinals. Although the women would drop their next two games, ultimately finishing fourth overall in the OUA, the team made great strides and promise to be a strong contender for an OUA medal next season. One of the big stories of the season was the play of Andrea Wadsworth. The second year player established herself as one of the top female rugby players in all of Canada by finishing second in the OUA in scoring. She recorded 10 trys during the regular season which earned her both OUA All-Star and CIS All-Canadian status. The Gaels had three other players earn OUA All-Star status along with Wadsworth, including Susan Heald, Jocelyn Poirier and Karlye Wong.
