MaintenanceIntervals

Usetheservicehourmetertodetermineservicingintervals.Calendarintervalsshown(daily, weekly,monthly,etc.)canbeusedinsteadofservicehourmeterintervalsiftheyprovidemore convenientservicingschedulesandapproximatetheindicatedservicehourmeterreading. Recommendedserviceshouldalwaysbeperformedattheintervalthatoccursfirst.Under extremelysevere,dusty,orwetoperatingconditions,morefrequentlubricationthanisspecifiedin themaintenanceintervalschartmightbenecessary.Performserviceonitemsatmultiplesofthe originalrequirement.Forexample,atevery500servicehoursor3months,alsoservicethose itemslistedunderevery250servicehoursormonthlyandevery10servicehoursordaily.

ProductCapacity

Additionalattachmentsormodificationsmayexceedproductdesigncapacity,whichcanadversely affectproductperformancecharacteristics,safety,reliability,andapplicablecertifications.Contact yourdealerforfurtherinformation.

AM-FM-WXRadio

Tuning:Setthedesired"TunerConfiguration"followingthestepsintheMenusection. Iftheradioissettomanual,theradiowillallowforexecutionofthefollowingfunctions:

•ExecutemanualtuningwhentheNEXTorPREVbuttonsareshortpressed.

•ExecuteSeekwhentheNEXTorPREVbuttonsarelongpressed.

IftheradioissettoAuto,theradiowillallowforexecutionofthefollowingfunctions:

•ExecuteSeekwhentheNEXTorPREVbuttonsareshortpressed.

•ExecutemanualtuningwhentheNEXTorPREVbuttonsarelongpressed.

Manualtuning

Thecurrentfrequencywillbeincreased/decreasedby1stepof0.2MHz(USAFMmode),10kHz (USAAMmode)andonechannel(25kHz)inWXmode.

SeekingaStation

WhentheSeekfunctionisactivated,theradioincrements/decrementsthefrequencyuntila tunablestationisfound.

Ifatunablestationisnotfound,theradiowilldisplay"NOSTATIONFOUND".

Presets

StoringRadioStationPresets:

1.Tunethedesiredfrequency,andthenlongpressanyofthePreset(1-6)buttonsuntilthe radioproducesabeep.

TuningRadioStationPresets

1.ShortpressanyofthePreset(1-6)buttons.Thefrequencystoredatthepresetlocationis tunedwhenthebuttonisreleased.

Scan

ToinitiatetheScanfunction,shortpresstheSCAN/ASCNbutton.WhenSCANisinitiated,the radioseeksupinfrequencyandstopsonthenextstrongfrequencyfor8secondsbefore continuingtoseekforthenextstrongstation.

Ifnostationisfoundintwopassesthroughtheband,theradiowilldisplay“NOSTATION FOUND”andthentunetothestartingfrequency.

Autoscan

Thisfunctiontemporallystoresthestrongest6stationsofthecurrentbandinthepresetsuntilthe radioispoweredofforthesourceischanged.

AUTOSCANdoesnotstorethefrequenciesonthepresetsonnumericalorder.Frequenciesare storedbasedontheordertheywerefoundandonthequalityofthefrequency.

ToinitiatetheAUTOSCANfunction,longpresstheSCAN/ASCANbuttonuntiltheradio performsabeep.Thenthe"AUTOSCAN"iconwillblinkwhiletheradioisstoringthetemporary presets.

WhentheAutoscanprocessfinishes,theradiowilltunetothestationstoredinPreset1andthe "AUTOSCAN"iconshallbeilluminatedwhilethemodeisactive.

Totuneanyofthe6frequenciesortostorenewpresets,followthestepsdefinedinthePresets section.

Toexitthismodeandreturntotheoriginalpresetsexecuteanyofthefollowingactions:

1.PressandholdtheSCAN/ASCANbutton

2.PresstheSCR/PWRbutton.

3.Turnofftheradio.

4.Performanignitioncycle

5.Disconnectthebattery.

WX

TheWXbandisfortheGovernmentalweatherradioservicesfrequencies.Theradiocantuneto thesevenweatherchannelsfollowingthestepsinTuning,Presets,andSCANsections.

SXM(IfEquipped)

VehicleswithavalidSiriusXM®satelliteradiosubscriptioncanreceiveSiriusXMprogramming. SiriusXMsatelliteradiohasawidevarietyofprogrammingandcommercial-freemusic,coastto coast,andindigital-qualitysound.

SiriusXM®

SXMDisplay

WhenSiriusXMisactive,thechannelnumber,channelname,artistname/contentinfo,songtitle, orcategorynamecouldbedisplayedonthescreen.SiriusXMmayupdatetheinformationatany time.

Tochangethecurrentdisplayview,shortpresstheDISPbutton.

Whenanewchannelisselected,asongchangeoccurs,SXMsourceisselected(frompower-upor sourcechange)ortheinformationisupdated,alltheelementswillbedisplayedusingpaging.The pagingcanbestoppedbyshortpressingtheDISPbutton.

AUSBmassstoragedevicecanbeconnectedtotheUSBport.

USBMP3PlayerandUSBDrives.TheUSBMP3playersandUSBdriveconnectedmust complywiththeUSBMasswiththeUSBMassStoragespecification:

Touseanexternaldevice,simplyconnectthedeviceviatheauxiliaryinputjack.

Frontauxiliarymodewillnotbeavailableifnodeviceisconnectedtotheauxiliaryinputjackon thefrontofthereceiver

RearAuxiliary

Inrearauxiliarymode,youcanplayanexternaldevicethatyouhaveconnectedviathereceivers rearpowerauxiliaryinputlines.

Touseanexternaldevice,simplyconnectthedeviceviatheauxiliaryinputjackandselectitusing thesourcebutton.

RearAuxsourcewillbeavailableevenwhennodeviceisattachedtotherearinput.

Bluetooth(IfEquipped)

TheradiocanconnecttoaBluetoothDevice.Tousethisfunctionalityyourdevicerequires Bluetoothandtobepairedandconnectedtotheradio.

SupportsmostBluetoothdevices.

Youcanconnectupto10devicestotheradio,theradiowillconnecttothefirstavailablepaired device,startingfromthelastpaired/connecteddevice.

TheBluetoothMenuisavailablewhenthePhonebuttonispressedformorethan3seconds.To navigatethroughit,rotatetheknob.

TheBluetoothMenuconsistsofthefollowingoptions:BTENABLE,CONNECTPH, DISCONNECTPH,ADDPHONE,andDELETEPH(someoptionsareonlyavailablewhena devicehasbeenpairedpreviously).

Enabling/DisablingBluetooth

ToEnable/DisableBluetoothinyourRadio(ifitisnotalreadyactivated):

•Pressthephonebuttonformorethan3secondswhiletheRadioisON.TheBluetoothMenu willbeshown.

•Rotatethevolumeknobuntilthedisplayshows:"BTDisable"or"BTEnable".Pressthe volumeknobtoEnableorDisabletheBluetooth.

•PresstheVolumeKnowtoEnableorDisabletheBluetooth.

Whenthedevicewaspreviouslypaired,thePhoneIconwillbeactiveandthearrowiconswill blinkuntilthereconnectionofthepreviouslypairedphonesisattempted(eachphonewillbe attemptedthreetimes).

PairingaBluetoothDevice

Tocompletepairingthefollowingstepsmustbefollowed:

1.EnableBluetoothontheradioandonthedevice.RefertoyourdevicesManualformore information.

2.PairtheDevicetotheRadio:

PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3secondsTheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.

RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshows:ADDPHONE.

PresstheVolumeKnobtoconfirmtheaction.

TheradiowilldisplayADDINGPHfor3seconds.Inthisdiscoverablemode,theBluetoothstatus iconwillblinkforupto3minutes.Ifnophonewasfound,theradiowilldisplayNOPHFOUND andthePhoneandarrowsiconwillbedisabled.

Duringthediscoverablemode,setyourcellphonetoaddaBluetoothdeviceandlookforthe name"DEA500RADIO":

•Followtheinstructionsonyourphonetoaddaconnection.Whennecessary,usethe4numberPIN0000toconnecttotheradio.

•Whenthecellphonehasbeensuccessfullyadded,theradiowilldisplayPHCONNECTED andthentheBluetoothdevicename.ThePhoneIconwillbeactiveonthedisplayandthe arrowswillbedisabled.

•Whentheradioconnects,theBluetoothiconwillblink.Theblinkingiconsignifiesthatthe receiverisattemptingtodownloadthecellphonesCONTACTS(fortheDIALCONTACTS

function).Theiconwillceasetoblinkifallcontactshavebeendownloadedoriftheradio timesoutfromreceivingcontactsfromthecellphone.Seeyourphonesuserguideformore information.

ConnectingaDevice

3.Presstheknobtoconfirmtheaction.SelectthedesiredDevice(rotatetheknobandconfirm bypressingtheknob).TheradiowillshowCONNECTINGfor3seconds.

4.Whentheradioconnects,theradiowilldisplayPHCONNECTEDandtheDeviceFriendly Name,theBluetoothiconwillblink.Theblinkingiconsignifiesthatthereceiveris attemptingtodownloadthecellphonesCONTACTS(fortheDIALCONTACTSfunction). Theiconwillceasetoblinkifallcontactshavebeendownloadedoriftheradiotimesout fromreceivingcontactsfromthecellphonedevice.PhoneIconwillbeactiveonthe display.

DisconnectingaDevice

Ifyourdeviceisconnectedandyourequireddisconnectingitfromtheradio,followthenext actions:

1.PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3seconds.TheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.

2.RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshowsDISCONNECTPH.

3.Presstheknobtoconfirmtheaction.TheradiowillshowDISCONNECTPHforashort time.Once,thePhoneisdisconnectedtheradiowilldisplayDISCONNECTEDandthenthe Bluetoothdevicename.ThePhoneIconwillbeinactive.

DeletingoneorallDevices

Todeleteadevicefromtheradio,oneoralldevicespreviouslypaired:

1.PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3seconds.TheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.

2.RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshowsDELETEPH.

3.Presstheknobtoenterthesubmenu.

4.Theradiowillshowadevicelist(navigatethroughitbyrotatingtheknob).Selectthe devicetobedeletedorselectDELETEALLtoeraseallthepaireddevicesinthelistby pressingtheVolumeKnob.TheradiowillshowPHDELETED.

HandsFree/BluetoothFeatures

Onceyourdeviceisproperlypaired(seeParingaBluetoothDevice)andconnected(see ConnectingaDevice),theradiosupportsthefollowingHandsFreefeaturesiftheconnected devicehashandsfreefunctionality.

DialMenu

Theradiocanretrievethelastcallsandcontactinformationfromthedevice(HandsFreeprofile mustbeavailableinthedeviceandsometimestheactionmustbeacceptedbytheuser).

ThedialmenuisaccessedwhenthedeviceisnotinacallandthePhonebuttonispressed.

Dial/Redial

Theusercanretrievethelastphonenumbercalledandplaceacall.PressthePhonebuttonandthe lastphonenumbercalledwillbedialed.

QuickDial

Theradiocanstorephonenumbersinanyoftheavailablepresetbuttons.

Tosaveaphonenumber,youcanselectthecontactusingeithertheDIALCONTACTSfeatureor theLASTCALLSfeature.Whenthedesiredcontactphonenumberisdisplayed,pressandhold anyofthePRESETbuttonsuntilyouhearabeepconfirmingthephonenumberhasbeensaved.

Todialasavedphonenumber,selectQUICKDIALfromthemenuandrotatetheknobtoselect theappropriatePRESETnumber.Presstheknobtoplaceacalltosavedphonenumber.

Tochangepresetssimplyrepeattheprocesswiththedesiredphonenumber.Presetsare overwritten.

DialContact

Theradioisabletoreadanddisplaycellphonecontacts.PressthePhonebuttontoshowthe DIALMENUandrotatetheknobuntilDIALCONTACTSisshown,presstheknobtoselectthis feature.Rotatetheknobtoselectbetweenthedifferentstoredcontacts(upto500numbersfrom thephoneand250contactsfromtheSIM).PresstheOKbuttonifyouwanttodialtothelisted contact.

Theradiowilldownloadthefollowingphonenumbersfromeachcontact(ifavailable):HOME, WORK,MOBILE,OTHER,andPREFERRED.Withinthemenuphonenumberswillbe displayedaseither:H,W,M,O,orPplusthe10-digitnumber(XXXXXXXXXX).

Whenthetransferissuccessful,theradiowillshowtheDIALCONTACTSsubmenu.Eachtime theradioconnectstoyourphone,theDIALCONTACTSsubmenuisupdated,soyoumayneedto repeatthismanualoperationasneeded.

Theradioiscapableoflistingthelast10calls(DIALED,RECEIVEDANDMISSED).Rotating theknobwillnavigatetheuserthroughtheselectedcalllist.PresstheOKbuttontoplacethecall.

CallOptions

ThefollowingoptionsareavailableduringaHandsFreecall.

AcceptingaCall

Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowillplaytheinbangringtoneifthedevicesupports thisfeature,otherwiseadefaultringtonewillbeplayed,theusercanadjusttheVolumeofthe ringtone,whiletheringtoneisplayed.Anyvolumelowerthan13,willnotbeconsideredforthe nextincomingcall.Volumeabove13willbestoredforthenextcall.

Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowilldisplaythename(ifavailable)andnumberof thecaller.Toacceptthecall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:Phone,Knob,orNEXT.

RejectingaCall

Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowilldisplaythename(ifavailable)andnumberof thecaller.Torejectthecall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:ESCorPREV.

EndingaCall

WhenaHandsFreecallisinprogress,theradiowilldisplaythecallersnumberandtheelapsed time.Toendacall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:Phone,ESC,orPREV.

MicrophoneMute

WhenaHandsFreecallisinprogress,pressingPause/Playwillmutetheradiosmicrophone.Press againtodeactivatemute.

BluetoothMicrophone

ProcedurefortroubleshootingtheBluetoothCabMicrophonewhentheotherpartiescallreception audioisunclear.

Therearecommonconditionsthatcanaffecttheaudiovolumeofacallreceiverthatisnotthe machineoperator.

1.TheUParrow(1)oftheBluetoothMicrophoneshouldalwaysbepointeduporawayfrom theoperator.(SeeIllustration7)

2.Ifnot,attempttoremoveandrotatethemicrophoneandseeifthisimprovestheaudio volumeoftheotherparty.

Iftheaudiodoesnotimprovebyspeakingclosertothemicrophone,thenitispossiblethecellwas notpickedupbytheradio.Testforaudioimprovementbytalkingintothecellphonemicrophone.

TheBluetoothMicrophoneisnotwireless,alsochecktomakesurethattheharnessisintactand connectedtotheEntertainmentRadio.

TherearethreecommonsetupsthatcanaffectBluetoothcallsbeingheardoverthecabspeakers. TheEntertainmentRadiospeakerbalancesetting,thecabwiring,andcallvolumeoftheradioor cellphone.

1.FirstchecktheBalancesettingstomakesurethattheyaresetto0.(SeeIllustration8)

2.WiththeignitionturnedtotheONpositionandtheradioturnedON,pressthevolumeknob for2secondsorlongertogettotheAudioControlMenu.

3.ThefirstitemthatisdisplayedisBass1/8.AdjustthevolumeknobuntilBalance5/8is seen.

4.PressthevolumeknobtoselecttheBalanceoptionwhenitisdisplayed.IftheBalance showsanyothersettingsthan0,adjustthevolumeknobclockwiseorcounter-clockwise untilBalance0isdisplayed.Thenpressthevolumeknobagaintoconfirmtheselection.

5.Waitforthemenutotimeoutbeforeadjustinganyothersettings.Theradiowillgotothe previousmediasettingbeforethemenuwasentered.

Thewiringcanalsobecheckedtomakesurethatthespeakeroutputisconnectedproperly. Reviewtheimagesaboveforproperleftspeakerwireconnections.(SeeIllustration9and10)

Iftheaudioisabletobequietlyheardintheleftspeakeraftertheabovesettingsarereviewed. Makesurethatthevolumeoftheradioisturnedupifneeded,andcheckthephonecallvolume.

Ifyourconnecteddevicesupportsthisfeature,itcanbeusedasanaudiosourceinputtotheradio, allowingyoutoenjoythemusicfilesstoredonyourphone.

Thisfeatureisrecommendedtobeusedwiththedevicedefaultplayer.Functionalitycannotbe warranted,whenathird-partyplayerisusedintheconnecteddevice.Theradiocanbeoutof synchronyiftheuseraltersorcommandtheplayerwithinthephone.

Treble
