A MESSAGE FROM APLS CCP, HAPPY READING Hi! Are you reading this booklet because you are curious on wha this is? If yes, I would like to say Thank you for staying curious and you have just found a great opportunity to learn, act, reflect and improve. If no, please be patient to read this booklet to stay curious! It was two months ago that I got this conference committee president opportunity to develop myself in team management skills and crisis management. I believe that this opportunity is also relevant for those who seek for the experience of being an organising committee of a large-scaled event (Asia Pacific!), being in the global youth movement and to hone your event management skills. Nonetheless, all of us started as ordinary members who decided to take the leap in activating the leadership potential of young people. LEADERS CONFERENCE EXPERIENCE Asia Pacific Leadership Summit (APLS) is an annual regional conference which serves as a platform for AIESEC International (AI) and Local Committee Presidents (LCPs) to foster the leadership development of LCPs in the region. Collaboration and cooperation within the network would be encouraged among LCs during the conference. APLS has been held 5 years internationally in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and lately in Nepal. This year, AIESEC in Malaysia brings it back to Penang, Malaysia again where the second APLS was held in 2014. APLS will be held in the duration of 5 days for the young leaders coming from 20 countries and territories across Asia Pacific including China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and etc. End of November is the time when APLS 2017 is going to happen and you are welcomed to join the conference committee team to make APLS 2017 extraordinary and memorable. “Be brave.
