kehilat food pantry

QHSS Key Club members volunteered at Kehilat Food Pantry, one of the largest kosher food pantries in the United States. Volunteers helped set up tents, hauled and bagged fresh produce, handed out food, and cleaned up.

10

"Volunteering at Kehilat Food Pantry was not only fun, but educational. Teamwork was heavily involved in bagging carrots and potatoes while the rabbi educated us about kosher requirements and the impact the food pantry had on the local community."

field day

On the 23rd, Field Day, a collaboration between the Key Clubs of BNCHS, BHS, THHS, FLHS, QHSS, BTech, MHS, QHSLS, and Stuy took place at Alley Pond Park. All Key Club members enjoyed a fun afternoon of games such as sports and three-legged race and entertainment such as live music.

12

Starting around 2 PM, people could pay to pie board members, committee leaders, and the district governor. The QHSS president, co-secretary, treasurer, and editor were all pied with shaving cream.

"Getting to meet and talk to Key Club members from other schools was a really fun experience. Even though the weather wasn't the best, the games and activites at the event were still great and enjoyable. Watching all the board members get pied was really nice too. Overall, the field day was a great event to end off the school year in a fun and exciting way."
