Manifesto introduction Introduction This manifesto is a collection of deferent interests and goals that I live by every single day. It includes my history my passion and hobbies. Also, I wanted to have this manifesto as an advice to the younger me and other young individuals.

Design problem Project Summary Based on what you construct in terms of the written framework, develop a corresponding design project that actively translates and transforms your beliefs into a artifact that visually reflects/illustrates the words. This new work can be analog or digital, static or dynamic, flat or dimensional... Or any combination.

Overview Describe what kind of world you’d like to live in Write down your goals, Distilling these “policies and aims” down on paper helps you think about what you truly want out of life, which in turn helps you: • Make good decisions • Evaluate opportunities • Stick to your priorities when conflicts arise in your schedule or otherwise Reach your goals 3

Design problem Writing Component Utilizing the resources provided as a guide define/frame/shape your essential creative vision/principles/convictions and ultimately communicate why you are a designer and what you stand for... personal design manifesto 100 words minimum / 500 words maximum.

Manifesto Preliminary Text Design for me is discipline that you can be as creative as you can, also it’s a way for me to show my passion, experience, past. Furthermore, design makes me feel validated, appreciated, and empowered which feels great. When you finish a design to a client and you see that look in their eyes and they tell you this looks great, it gives me the drive to go on and assure me the I am in the right place. I think design can help communities come together and it also can give them a voice. “Find your place in this world, when you do stick around” For me as a designer the number one issue I have is talking about my work. I don’t have a strategic to represent my work. “learn to be confident and have the ability to present your work” Currently I am exploring what design can do in different disciplines from user interface to motion graphics. “learning doesn’t stop in out of the classroom”

Manifesto

I’m passionate about creating and the process of creating. There is nothing better than creating something that I didn’t exist. then you sell people that you created it. makes you feel like a god in a sense. “Take ownership of what you are creating”

Solving visual problem is the main task we do as designers. Brain storming with different ideas is and try to mix them together Like cooking. Form all these different ideas I would pick two to three ideas that I think they work based on research of course. Then I would start sketching using a pencil and a marker. In the sketching phase everything is simple but when I pick the last ideas/ sketches I would go have a complex sketch. Then I would simplify it digitally. “be comfortable with working with your hands” “it all comes back to the basics don’t complicate your life”

Manifesto Preliminary Text A successful solution is the simple coherent and visually attractive. On the other hand, it comes back to the client so, it’s a compromise between the designer and the client.“Learn to compromise, there is no ego in design” Currently I work at union marketing and I think it’s a creative environment for me to do design related work. It’s a privilege to work with other who love the same thing you do. We always have music playing in the background and we know the we are welcome to ask anybody for feedback.“Surround yourself with people who have the same passion as you are” I don’t have a lot of design related role models but out of design there are many role models. The first one is my dad he is an awesome human being and an artist. He always says pick something you love and do it,.It’s so simple but yet so hard. Paco du lucia is another artist that I look up to he is a guitarist from Spain. He says “inspiration comes from doing it” which is true for everything in life.“If you want to be good at something keep doing it”

Manifesto

I am not much of a reader. I usually would watch a design seminars or tutorials to gain/learn new skills in which I would add to my designs. In addition, I try to go to the museum/galleries as much as I can for inspiration. “Watch and learn” First thing I want to do if I have enough resources is moving out to a warmer state. Find a job and start changing the billboards around the city I live in. also, I want to have my time and create my own music with I am also passionate about. “Set your own goals and peruse them” I think my strength is visualizing the problem and coming up with different solutions, but even thought my solutions they are visually attractive. It’s hard for me to talk about why I picked this solution and as a graphic designer I know we have to talk about our work and make it look good even though it looks awesome anyway.“Admitting your weaknesses adds to your strength”

Research Inspiration From the Beginning of this project i knew that i wanted do something that i am not familiar with. As result, I did a lot of research about animation and motion graphics. Some videos i was interested in is by a poet called Tamim albargothi. First his poetry is really fascinating in addition to a simple cinematic animation.

Research Musical Inspiration In addition to animation, I also wanted to make my own music to go with my manifesto. Spanish music is my passion in addition to design. The music i created is inspired by the Gypsy kinds and Jesse cook. Both are great flamenco guitar players whom I look up to.

Process Typeface There is only one typeface used in the manifesto its Skytree. I wanted to have a hand write animation in the video i felt its the closest to my hand writing.

Remember where you came from. Understand your own history,

Somebody else is having a bad day too. Do not let the snow slow you down. New day... New experience. Listen to new music everyday. Learn a new hobby.

Watch a lot of tutorials.

Consume a lot of protein. Sketch everyday

Do not run out of sand 19
