Cooking with saffron Saffron is an excellent spice in the kitchen cabinet. There are plenty of saffron recipes. In this article we will be discussing about the recipes to cook with saffron. While preparing dishes the saffron can be added to food in three different forms.

Each form has its unique specialty while adding it in foods. The threads can be used while garnishing the food, the powder form can be used while preparing tea, coffee or simply adding in milk. While the saffron essence can be used in mixing with rice or even ice-cream.

Recipes for cooking with saffron: Saffron Milk – Boil the milk in pan, grind the saffron using saffron grinder and make it powder. Add the grinded saffron powder to the milk and add some honey for taste. Saffron Rice – Cook the rice in usual method. Soak some saffron threads in warm water for 5 minutes. It slowly releases the color and flavor to the water. Add the saffron essence to the rice and mix well. Saffron tea – boil water, add some tea leaf or green tea leaf, add 2 cardamom. After 5 minutes of boil filter the tea leaves and add some saffron powder to the tea. Leave it for15 minutes and finally you get a healthy saffron tea. Saffron Ice-cream – Add some saffron essence to the vanilla flavored ice-cream and mix well to get the saffron ice-cream.
