Saw and Seal

Our teams provide joint installation, rehabilitation, and maintenance services for projects of all sizes anywhere in the western United States. We specialize in projects ranging from a few hundred feet of joints to complete runways or highways.

Grinding and Grooving

A fleet of customized diamond grinders allows our team the flexibility to meet demanding schedules on varying types of projects. We are prepared to tackle grooving, profile grinding, and bump grinding projects while helping contractors efficiently complete their projects.

Demolition

Our team of demolition experts is ready to tackle your most complex removals. Whether it’s a partial removal or a full demolition, we have the expertise to complete your project safely and quickly. Q&D employs more than 200 operators, allowing us to excel at marathon weekends and “quick-hitting” projects.

Concrete Rehab and Repairs

Our team of concrete experts is ready to tackle your concrete repair project. We have craftsman trained to perform all types of strengthening and repair projects ranging from spall repairs to seismic retrofits to waterproofing, we seamlessly integrate into projects and take care of the dirty work.

Trenchless Repairs

Our team is prepared to perform condition assessments, recommend repairs, and implement them. Our trenchless experts install short patches, UV Liners, slip-linings, and perform pipe bursting with minimal surface impacts.

Project Spotlight: Portland Airport Runway Rehab

The 2023 Portland International Airport (PDX) Runway Rehabilitation Project showcases Q&D’s ability to exceed owner expectations through extensive planning and coordination. The runway project impacted the longest runway in Oregon, and is critical to operations at PDX. Given this runway’s importance, our team was only allotted 12 calendar days to complete the project. Additionally, PDX required that the project be performed during a two-week period in August. Q&D’s leaders began project coordination months in advance. The most challenging aspect was the necessity to pre-badge 100% of our staff through PDX and the FAA in the months leading to the project start. Ultimately, 40 craftsmen worked alternating shifts 24 hours per day to complete the project four days ahead of schedule.

When it comes to bridge deck overlays, Q&D’s speed and precision are unmatched thanks to our one-of-a-kind polymer paving machine. Q&D’s equipment mixes, places and screeds overlays simultaneously and is reloaded with material on the fly, leading to fewer lane closures and less impact to travelers. Our crews excel on longer bridges and time sensitive projects.

While traditional polyester concrete is a reliable method, some states are opting for a safer, non-hazardous solution to bridge deck repair: Hybrid Polymer Concrete (HPC). Q&D’s fleet now features two unique methods for placement of HPC as we adapt our unrivaled polymer paver to accommodate HPC alongside the Transformer Truck.

Q&D offers several trenchless options, saving you time and money while repairing or replacing underground systems. From inspection via CC TV and hydroexcavation to short-line trenchless pipe repair and UV liners, we have the tools you need to maintain your underground utilities.

Q&D uses the latest CCTV equipment and data collection software to quickly deliver detailed, GIS-compatible results. We help identify any damaged areas of your underground system, and offer solutions to avoid costly repairs.
