Pymble Online

ONLINE LEARNING DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC
With Greater Sydney in lockdown for all of Term 3 and part of Term 4, outstanding teaching and learning was able to continue, once again, with Pymble Online.
In true Pymble style, our incredible staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was in place to enable all timetabled lessons, Compass time sessions and most co-curricular sport and activities to proceed remotely. We successfully recreated interactive classrooms, assemblies and recreational events in an online format, while focusing on connecting with our community, lifting each other up and intentionally creating moments of joy.
Our brilliant Team Pymble came up with a wonderful way to achieve this during long hours at home in lockdown. So, while our Australian athletes, including four Pymble Alumni, competed at the Tokyo Olympics, Pymble students, staff, families and Alumni were invited to take part in our very own Pymlympic Games, a series of feel-good challenges that earned the ‘player’ House or Team points.

What has been the best part of online learning?
I have really enjoyed seeing my friends during online classes as you can see little parts of their home, and everyone seems to be a lot more relaxed.
Which online class have you looked forward to?
I look forward to Design and Technology as we are designing shorts/ a skirt which I think will be enjoyable. What has been the most difficult aspect?

Have you taken up any creative pursuits during lockdown?
During lockdown, I have started to draw a lot more and whilst I am not very good at it, it is enjoyable and relaxing.
What activities have you participated in?
I am participating in online Netball. So far it has been fun, but I look forward to getting back on the court with my teammates.
