I have so many fond memories of my days at Pymble. I cannot believe how blessed we were to have the opportunity to relive those memories during the COVID pandemic! The Chapel was as beautiful as I remembered it to be, and the service led by Reverend Lorenzo is something I will hold close to my heart forever," Grace said.

Ex-student Tours

EX-STUDENT TOURS

On a beautiful autumn morning, we were thrilled to be able to invite back to the College a group of lovely exstudents for a tour and morning tea. It was wonderful to see the range in leaving years (from very recent 2019 leavers through to 1973 leavers) and to see how the bonds of Pymble have connected them all. We visited familiar areas of the College and also newer developments, both of which evoked fond memories and created new ones. We love to welcome our ex-students back to the College to spend time remembering and reminiscing and for us to appreciate their contribution to our wonderful school. If you are interested in attending a tour in 2022, please email Katrina Corcoran, Alumni Relations Manager on kcorcoran@pymblelc.nsw. edu.au. Tour dates for 2022 will be added to our website once confirmed.

CAREERS AND DEVELOPMENT

During Term 2, students at Pymble were afforded the opportunity to hear from several past students. Recent graduates Akina Li (2020), studying the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at UNSW, and Louise Ng (2020), who is studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Provisional Entry to the Doctor of Medicine at UQ, gave their time to speak to the girls. They shared their tips for getting into Medicine and related fields, and the differences between studying at school and university.

Alison Campbell (2015), a recent recipient of the prestigious CSIRO Alumni Scholarship in Physics, who is about to take her research in renewables to Cambridge University, delivered a wonderful presentation to Year 12. Alison inspired the girls with her experiences in the STEM field and

linked her advice back to the themes of responsibility and courage. The College would like to hear from more Alumni who would like to give a little of their time. The Futures Team has been steadily engaging wonderful ex-students and both Alumni and current students alike gain much from such interactions. If you would like to offer your words of wisdom, either in person or online during a lunch break, please feel free to reach out to Andrew Kozyra, Director of Futures and Partnerships (K-12) via email: akozyra@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au. 1950 – 70 Year Reunion On Wednesday 11 November 2020, we had 15 lovely ‘Pymble girls’ attend their 70-year Reunion at Killara Golf Club for lunch. It was a true delight to see these ladies, who after leaving school in 1950, have sustained such a life-long bond with each other and the College. The ties that bind these ladies have remained strong throughout the years and all of them were overjoyed to attend this milestone luncheon. These ladies have seen many changes throughout their lives and the current pandemic was not going to stop their gathering – true Pymble spirit. Sadly many could not attend due to distance or other reasons however all look forward to the continuing relationship and gatherings for this lovely year group. Thank you to Beth Kannegieter (Tierney) and Dorothy Oag (Cathels) for organising the event.
