As legends go, Tom Brady went undrafted until the New England Patriots selected him with the 199th overall pick. Underwhelmed fans and many analysts believed Brady would be cut in the coming years. In 2001, the stars aligned for Brady when Drew Bledsoe suffered an injury, and the Patriots turned to their young QB. Seven championships, three MVPs, and other achievements followed as Brady carved his name in the NFL history books.

1954 TOPPS HANK AARON ROOKIE RC #128 PSA 9 MINT

RARE IN MINT PSA 9 WITH ONLY TWENTY-FIVE IN EXISTENCE AND ONLY TWO GRADING HIGHER, THIS EXAMPLE LOOKS AS THOUGH IT RECENTLY LEFT THE PRODUCTION FLOOR. On November 20, 1951, Henry Louis Aaron signed a contract to play for the Indianapolis Clowns of the Negro American League. The Howe Sports Bureau credits Aaron with a .366 batting average in 26 official Negro league games, with five home runs and 33 RBI. Due to his impressive play, the Boston Braves purchased Aaron’s contract from the Clowns for $10,000. For the next few years, Aaron shuffled between the franchise’s farm teams until on March 13, 1954, when Milwaukee Braves left fielder Bobby Thompson fractured his ankle while sliding into second base during a spring training game. This injury led the Braves to sign Aaron to a major league contract, where he would take his first step towards breaking Babe Ruth’s alltime home run record by belting one out of the park on April 23, 1954. Throughout his illustrious 23 seasons in MLB, Aaron would endure constant racial threats, much like his favorite player as a child, Jackie Robinson. Despite the racism Aaron endured, he hammered 755 home runs, 3,771 hits, and 2,297 RBI throughout his spectacular career.

Hammerin Hank’s cardboard debut stands among the most recognized baseball cards from the era.

In their third year of production, Topps redesigned this issue to feature bright colors with a centralized image and a smaller player’s likeness in action.

Hank Aaron anchors the set with Mickey Mantle’s absence due to contractual licensing rights. Rare in MINT PSA 9 with only twenty-five in existence and only two grading higher, this example looks as though it recently left the production floor, boasting virtually uncirculated qualities. The surfaces are essentially unimprovable with signs of wear absent, precise registration, and flawless print. The card stands free of chipping to the fragile reverse periphery with undeniably MINT corners. Furthermore, centering is 50-50 left to right with perhaps a less than five-point top to bottom shift. As period rookie cards of pantheon players continue to set new records, investmentminded individuals will not want to miss this incredible offering.

When the NBA chose the Panini company to be the exclusive distributor of NBA trading cards, many collectors were surprised to learn that Upper Deck would produce one final Exquisite Collection set. With its days numbered, Upper Deck decided to load up the 2009-10 Exquisite Collection product with its best autographs, patches, and memorabilia. Upper Deck again inserted the All NBA Access Triple Logoman set into the product, which consisted of fifty-six different cards, each of which featured three NBA athletes with game-used NBA Logoman patches as the main showpiece.

Since the birth of this Exquisite set, PSA has only assessed three of the 56, one of which is this masterpiece which features three all-time greats in LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kevin Garnett.

Arguably, the second most desired, sitting only behind the Kobe, LeBron, and Michael Jordan example, this highly prized card earned a MINT PSA 9 holder. Expertly preserved since being discovered, it presents faultless edges and virtually immaculate surfaces. Due to the production’s use of slightly rounded corners, this card could have easily earned the GEM MT PSA 10 distinction.

Each of these three players have won regular season MVP awards and NBA championships--and the Hall of Fame awaits them. This auction presents an opportunity to own one of the most prestigious modern-era basketball cards. We expect it will command the attention of the industry’s most passionate collectors.

PSA POPULATION 1 OF 1 2000 SP AUTHENTIC TOM BRADY ROOKIE RC PSA/DNA 10 AUTO #118 PSA 10 GEM MINT

The 2000 SP Authentic football set built its reputation on the iconic Tom Brady rookie card. It was then and remains now a tour de force design. The 171-card set featured a unique three-tier set up with the ‘Future Watch’ set consisting of 60 shortly printed rookie cards, each of which has a full color, action photo of the player with a white border, silver foil highlights, and the SP Authentic logo. Brady quickly became one of the single most important and sought-after blue chips from the year.

This example of Tom Brady’s #118 SP Authentic rookie card, professionally assessed as GEM MINT by PSA and serial stamped 1054/1250, includes an ultra-rare aftermarket autograph struck in a bold blue ink sharpie and assessed as ‘10’ by PSA/DNA. Like Jordan, Gretzky, Woods, Ruth, and Serena; Tom Brady sits atop the Mount Rushmore of legendary athletes, still showing no signs of slowing down, which has redefined the impossible within the professional sports’ landscape. At 43, twenty-one seasons in the NFL, Brady has appeared in ten Super Bowls, winning seven rings. For perspective, since Super Bowl I in 1967, Tom Brady has appeared in 18% of them. All this for a guy who was drafted 199th overall in the sixth round of the draft. With the odds against him, Brady emerged as the greatest QB of all-time and will continue to add to his legacy this season as the new all-time career passing yards leader. We believe this card presents a significant investment opportunity given Brady’s career and popularity.

2009 EXQUISITE COLLECTION ROOKIE FLASHBACK MICHAEL JORDAN PATCH AUTO /23 BGS 8.5

On the Michael Jordan card trophy shelf, Exquisite broke the mold in 2009 by harking back to its fashionable 2003 design, which set the market ablaze nearly 20 years ago. Much like the ‘97 PMG production, the inaugural ‘03 Exquisite set the bar for what would become the future of modern-era premium trading cards. To this day, many collectors and investors feel ‘03 Exquisite did it better than any issue since, and the production quality presented by the Exquisite brand set a standard few manufacturers could match or afford. In 2009, the NBA moved its exclusive trading card rights to Panini, forcing Upper Deck to unveil its final year of licensed Exquisite. Many avid collectors and investors believe that aside from the inaugural ’03 productions, 2009 Exquisite is the best product released during Upper Deck’s short stint, notably since ’09 Exquisite used all the best designs and jersey swatches that remained in their inventory.

Each box contained one pack of five cards, with the chance at hitting many key inserts, autograph, and jersey pieces.

This Jordan 07/23 Flashback autograph patch example, assessed as NM-MT+ by Beckett, bears a pristine autograph grade. The card’s centering deserves applause and the MINT edges add to its appeal. Light corner touches and modest toning just to the right of the patch appear to be all that keeps the card from grading higher. Furthermore, the Chicago Bulls jersey swatches̶a three-color stitched example̶further strengthen the card’s aesthetics. Widely considered the greatest athlete of all-time, Michael Jordan partnered with Nike to create a brand that has no equal.. Air Jordans became synonymous with basketball and made millions of people want to Be Like Mike.

PSA POPULATION 1 OF 2 2017 NATIONAL TREASURES GREEN PATRICK MAHOMES ROOKIE PATCH ‘10’ AUTO 2/15 PSA 10

For over a decade now, Panini’s National Treasures brand has epitomized elegance. The clean designs, hard-signed signatures, and player-worn materials have turned many of these cards into Americana, connecting hobbyists and investors to the brand and careers of each respected athlete.

In 2017, no card is truer to this trend than the Patrick Mahomes RPA. In just a few years, Mahomes NT RPA has emerged as one of the market’s brightest and most important investment pieces. One of the final releases of the season, ‘17 National Treasures came eight cards per box, including an average of three autographs and three memorabilia cards: the other two were base cards or parallels.

Within this product resides Mahomes iconic #161 RPA, coming in various shortly printed color parallels; the green standing as one of rarest and most important since the print run matches his jersey number. Serial stamped 02/15 and assessed as a rarely seen dual PSA 10 GEM MINT example, the card exudes high-end appeal, boasting beautiful surfaces, untouched corners, and immaculate surfaces. Free of indentations or wear, the bright green foil inlay highlights this card’s aesthetic. Resting within the card is a highly prized three-color jersey piece with the hard-signed autograph sitting to the left below the player photo. It is penned in blue ink and assessed as ‘10’ by PSA/DNA. Mahomes is quickly becoming the face of the NFL and a model athlete for children.

He has captured a league MVP, a Super Bowl Championship, and multiple passing awards in just a few seasons. If he continues this pace, he has the potential to become one of the greatest QB’s of all time. As a result, Mahomes remains one of the most exciting investment opportunities from an ROI perspective. The 50th draft in NBA history occurred on June 26, 1996, at Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey. Scouts predicted a deep class of talent would emerge, but few NBA owners could have imagined that it would rank among the greatest classes of all time. The draft produced three players who won a combined four NBA MVP awards (Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, and Allen Iverson), and seven others would become All-Stars.

This stunning Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Dual Logos Autographs card features Kobe and Nash. Although Nash won two and Kobe earned one of the aforementioned MVP awards, few fans would argue that Bryant was the greatest talent to emerge from the class. This amazing collectible represents the lone copy in existence, possessing a dream 1 of 1 serial stamp on the reverse. The card front incorporates a pair of bright ‘Logo Man’ NBA game-worn jersey patch relics attributed to the acclaimed athletes. Penned at the sides of each patch are deep blue sharpie autographs, both of which are undeniably pristine; a rare quality for the issue that often finds signatures running off one of the edges. Since its discovery, the card itself has been expertly preserved, boasting 9 centering, 8.5 corners, 8 edges and 9.5 surfaces--about as good as it gets for the incredibly condition-sensitive issue. One of the best hits from the final Upper Deck Exquisite Collection basketball product, it deserves a place in a serious portfolio.

2009 PLAYOFF NATIONAL TREASURES STEPHEN CURRY ROOKIE RC PATCH AUTO /99 BGS 9.5

For over a decade, Panini’s National Treasures brand has embodied class. The clean designs, hard-signed signatures, and player-worn materials have turned many of these cards into modern works of art. In 2009, as Upper Deck and its flagship product Exquisite Collection phased out, Panini National Treasures emerged to take over and transcend the high-end trading card market. This premium issue included one pack per box with eight cards per pack. The debut of this product lined up perfectly for the marketplace as it ushered in the arrival of one of the most talented and influential figures in sports in Stephen Curry.

This beautiful issue features Curry in a classic Warriors jersey, coupled with a beautiful three-color jersey piece and a hard-signed blue ink autograph. BGS assessed the autograph as MINT due to a slight runoff on the card.

Serial stamped 28/99, it retains box-fresh eye appeal, residing within an elite Beckett 9.5 holder. Perfectly centered 50/50 with GEM MINT edges and surfaces, the card shows no indentations or wear with thick gloss and precise registration. Curry, one of the game’s most exciting players, can drop 40+ at the drop of a hat. His global brand continues to grow, and he gladly serves as a role model for children. This extraordinary Curry rookie card deserves serious consideration.

BGS POPULATION 1 OF 3 ̶ NONE GRADED HIGHER 1997 METAL UNIVERSE PRECIOUS METAL GEMS PMG RED KOBE BRYANT /100 #81 BGS 9 MINT

THIS EARLY SERIAL-NUMBERED PARALLEL IS WIDELY REGARDED AS THE ‘MONA LISA’ OF KOBE BRYANT CARDS AND IS A MUSEUM-WORTHY FINE-ART EQUIVALENT IN MANY WAYS.

Kobe Bryant’s most coveted production is presented here in stunning MINT condition. Few

After Marvel purchased Fleer/Skybox, Arena Design gained access to some Marvel illustrators and thought it would be an interesting idea to match sports with fantasy backgrounds. Sketches were presented to Arena Design where they eventually chose this unique design and set it against Andrew Bernstein’s famous rookie photograph of Kobe Bryant. This early serial-numbered parallel is widely regarded as the ‘Mona Lisa’ of Kobe Bryant cards and is a museum-worthy fine-art equivalent in many ways. PWCC proudly offers this extraordinary example for consideration.

2018 PANINI FLAWLESS GREEN LUKA DONCIC ROOKIE RC PATCH AUTO 3/5 MBA BGS 9.5

Flawless is arguably Panini’s greatest product and although National Treasures true RPA still reigns supreme in the eyes of many, we suspect that investors will soon realize that Flawless RPAs are the correct pursuit. The use of incredibly limited print runs, game-worn patches, a lineup of the NBA’s top rookies and stars, as well as on-card autographs set the bar extremely high. This card, with the exception of a few one-of-ones, is Luka Doncic’s best Flawless RPA. Flawless limited this green parallel to five examples ̶ and this card almost achieved the overall ‘10’ pristine assessment. Representing the highest graded example in existence, possessing 10 centering, 9.5 corners, 10 edges, and 9.5 surfaces, Luka’s penned his signature in deep blue sharpie. Resting just above his signature rests a three-color, game-worn jersey patch, which possesses traditional Mavericks colors: silver, navy blue, and a sliver of white at the extreme right of the patch window. Luka, one of the most exciting young talents in the NBA, dazzles fans with incredible control and a remarkable ability to get to the bucket. At twenty-two, he is already the Dallas Mavericks all-time Triple Doubles leader and recently signed a five-year, $207 million extension with the franchise. We recommend this exciting RPA Luka for any serious collector looking to add a top-tier NBA superstar to their collection.
