ach year The Women’s Board hosts the Children’s Fashion Show, featuring current and former patients of Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This light-hearted show funds cutting-edge programs and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for the only inpatient healthcare facility areawide that is dedicated solely to children. Historically presented during the three-day Art & Antiques Show, the Children’s Fashion Show was presented this year at the University of North Florida’s Lazzara Performance Hall on Nov. 3 in an exciting expanded format. Guests to the Children’s Fashion Show delighted in the opportunity to take in the latest in children’s fashion, meet patients, hear their stories and learn about how Wolfson Children’s Hospital has assisted in their treatment and care. This year’s show featured live performances, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ NFL mascot Jaxson D’Ville, a magician, music and dancing with DJ James, a photo booth and food and libations from Liz Grenamyer, Salt Life, Mellow Mushroom, Champion Brands and Wine 90+. Part of the Art & Antiques Show, the 2012 Children’s Fashion Show contributes vital funds for program and clinical equipment needs in addition to a 5-year, $4 million pledge towards the Larry J. Freeman Behavioral Health Center. The Center provides counseling and support for children facing surgery and illness, in some cases terminal, and addresses and treats the full spectrum of psychiatric illness, as well as childhood obesity,
