Developed along the estuary of the river Zuari, Prondaia is a Mid- rise mixed use building with a high street commercial and a future expansion for an auditorium. Other than offices, it is set to provide service apartments that could be used by frequent visitors of Goa.

Placement of cores on east- west ends to reduce heat gain and circulation mapping across them.

Recreation of a wave is depicted as it creates a void as it moves to the shore and occupies new space without change in mass

Fifth floor office floor plan with Typical floor plate marking. This particular floor has an floor area of 6830 m2.

The typical office floor plate has an area of 6540 m2 to which areas are added or subtracted based on massing.

The contours on the site play an important role in deciding the building levels. This section thorugh all the courtyards shows the use of contours in the exterior and interior parts of the built up spaces.

A church in a ruined states which dates back to the XI centurey, which then got converted into a graveyard in the XVIII century is now to be reused as an all season theatre/ auditorium for public events.

An auditoium and a church both have a clear heirarchy of spaces where the relationship between a transept and apse is very similar to what a main stage and backstage has. both are places of performance, communication, and the reinforcement of cultural identity.

PAPILIOKAMA GUWAHATI, ASSAM Bamboo pavillion 3300 m2 SEM 6 | 2023 | GROUP OF 2

Lying in the foothills of Assam, the city of Guwahati, settled around the river Brahmaputra, transforming into a bustling metropolis with it’s infrastructure and recent IT growth. The state is also deeply rooted with it’s history and culture.

The Pavilion displays Guwahati’s varied interpretation of history as one, through it’s form.

Guwahati has a history of names which are derived from ‘Kama’. Two of which are Kamadev, God of lust and Work & Kamakhya, Goddess to sacrifice her.life for her husband.

The form shows the movement of life through Kamadev who reincarnated and Death through Kamakhya.

The circulation is also metaphorically justified by the geographical location of Brahmaputra.

EXPLODED AXONOMETRIC The bamboo structure is supported by a dense interconnected prestressed bamboo members in the centre. It’s also supported by catenary bamboo members on the periphery followed by secondary members in both direction to distribute load and support roof.

AYATANA

GHARAUNDA, HARYANA Library 1050 m2 GRANTHAGARA LIBRARY DESIGN COMPETITION | 2023 | GROUP OF 2 Honourable Mention

Gharaunda, Haryana, a rural abode in northern India just meant giving back to the underprivileged, the destitute that changes their perception and approach towards a library. A space that taps into the community as a whole with the provision of using rice husk as an admixture in the concrete- as well as growing local produce in the landscape that surrounds the library gives education a holistic approach.

LOCATION

A town in Haryana, state of India. It lies between two major cities namely, Panipat and Karnal. These cities lie on one of Asia’s oldest trade routes, Grand Trunk road.

PEOPLE

The people of Ghauraunda rather live a simpler life. The design intends togive back to the community andprotect the culture with Library. The literacy rate is substantially low. Additionally, the site is located near a school that can help work in collaboration.

HISTORY

A sarai is a historic wayside inn or halting station where travellers would rest at the end of a day’s journey. They can be found all across the country, along major movement corridors.

The axis creates way for the library to represent Gharaunda as a city, The platformed steps created represent sarais in a modern way, where people can sit and relax.

NATIONAL RAIL MUSEUM NEW DELHI, DELHI Museum 44800 m2 SEM 5 | 2022

In the core of the capital city lies the alerady existing National rail museum. It’s a redevelopment project of the already existing museum which is a mix of both indoor and an outdoor museum. It ‘s a very peculiar museum with large scale working exhibits and a turntable.

Accounting of all the factors, the design leads a conceptual way to lay down the tracks and position a turntable, with simultaneously arranging other building blocks.

A visitor to the museum can be assumed as a train on a path to follow, which leads them to a journey. Train tracks are a huge net laid around a region, overlayed over one another, connecting multiple points with similar routes and sometimes just two points with multiple routes.

FORM DEVELOPMENT The form has been divided into two parts on either side of the site. It is such that it decreases from the edge of the site to the centre, the location of the indoor gallery and the turntable. It then finds a sudden mass in the middle to deflect upon the importance of the museum’s site. It accentuates the built mass of the indoor gallery. The tracks are simultaneously laid in the mirror direction to compliment the built-up space.

More than just experience, a visitor should be able to exploit the exhibit in a way that every bit of knowledge can be transferred.

To cater to that, the design works with different levels to create an all- round experience around exhibits.

AN ITALIAN SUMMER Photography

It was a journey, I would've never thought I would do. Walking on an unfamiliar land for the first time, all by myself. With a camera in one hand , I would lock my room to only come back home late.

It was a journey, an axhilarating one, painted with vibrant hues of history and culture. With the Colosseum standing proud under the Roman sun, Milan's blend of classic and contemporary aura and intricate details of Florence's renaissance, the camera became extension of my senses, translating emotions into pixels.

It was a journey.

AN UNORTHODOX KINSHIP Martian home

4 It was the year 2083, when we discovered the red planet being approached by some alien species, while we were trying to establish on the planet. A similar approach was seen from the other way. That led to a four year cold war which finally ended to a peace treaty and development. This led to common colonialisation with combined technology here at Jezero center, Mars.

Today, it's been 30 earth days post costruction of these all purpose fractals. This typology repeats at different levels to create zonal spaces and common areas.

This sample shows a modular residence shared by both human and alien species, which includes various working and resting spaces based on requirements that allows for customization.
