At MJP we not only want to get our athletes to the Combine ready to perform at their best, but healthy as well. Many athletes end their collegiate season with some lingering injuries. MJP’s goal is to rehab those injuries during the limited time provided so that athletes are at their peak performance level.

MJP’s Performance nutrition program is the most integrated and involved nutrition physiology system in the industry and is an integral part of our Combine program. Our nutritionist emphasizes the interaction between training intensities and food choices and creates a customized program based on each athlete's food preferences. Our program includes daily body weight/lean mass monitoring, and regeneration/ recovery/readiness to train assessments.

WONDERLIC & INTERVIEW PREP

MJP's interview preparation and media training helps prepare our athletes for the interview process by helping them communicate more effectively and confidently. Our athletes receive training from Lewis Johnson, 7-time NBC Olympic Broadcaster and recently named one of the Best Sideline Reporters in the business by SI.com. Lewis also works with athletes who need to answer and address specific character concerns or player issues.

FULL SUPPORT AT NFL COMBINE

MJP brings its support team to Indianapolis for the duration of the combine. MJP provides a relaxation suite with healthy snacks and massage, performance training and mental skills staff present in Indianapolis for all support. Reserved training venue with a track and strength training facilities for last minute preparation.

Michael founded Michael Johnson Performance with a mission of helping athletes of all ages and all sports reach their full potential, using the same training philosophy and training approach he used in his own career. As one of the most successful Olympic sprinters of all time, Michael’s understanding of linear speed is unmatched and his ability to explain and teach athletes and coaches in this particular area and of the sport of track and field provides a tremendous benefit to many of our clients. As one of the most focused athletes of our time, Michael’s motivational techniques are a benefit to athletes and coaches desirous of improving the work ethic, focus, and professional approach needed to achieve at the highest level.

LANCE WALKER

Lance brings his 20 plus years of experience working with athletes in all sports and for some of the most respected sports organizations in the world, along with his educational background with degrees in exercise physiology, kinesiology, and physical therapy to all MJP projects. As a former coach on the staff of the Dallas Cowboys and University of Oklahoma, Lance’s understanding of the role of coaches within a team and his relationship with the coaching staffs of our clients serves to ensure the MJP team has a clear understanding of the goals of our clients and how to implement our systems into their program with minimal disruption, all while ensuring we serve as a valuable resource to the client and it’s staff.

BRIAN ABADIE

Brian is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM). Brian serves as Pro and Elite Athlete Coordinator, Director of NFL Combine Training, and conducts MJP's Veteran Pro Football Program. Brian has traveled abroad with MJP's Global Services integrating training and giving lectures to sports training bases and Olympic Committees in China and Trinidad and Tobago.

BRYAN McCALL

Bryan serves as Performance Director at MJP. Prior to his position in Dallas, Bryan was Performance Director of Michael Johnson Performance Center at Spire Institute in Ohio. Bryan sits on advisory boards of the National Strength and Conditioning Association for the State of Ohio and the Cooper Clinic, and serves as a member of the Nike Training Performance Network. He holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA).
