hat is the pursuit of purpose? It is when someone desires to find out why they exist. Why they were created, or why are they here on earth and what is their responsibility to the world. Purpose is the reason for which you exist. It is about what a person makes of their own life. It is about what drives them to get out of their beds every morning.

Purpose is a sought-after word because many people search endlessly to find out why they are here on this earth. When you know your purpose, it is the beginning of happiness. Knowing your purpose gives you a peace of mind. It gives you purpose driven confidence that cannot be shaken.

The pursuit of purpose is a life adventure that every person in the

world has either walked the path or will be on their way to that journey of walking in purpose. Those who has already discovered their purpose are the people who are fearlessly and confidently serving the people who they were called to serve. Not every person on earth desire to discover their purpose. As a matter of fact, they live their life aimlessly repeating the cycle of going to a job and paying bills. They seem to think their job is all they are responsible for doing in the world. But that is not the case everyone is born with their purpose down on the inside them. They were created just as you and me with all the tools for purpose. Those tools are the very gifts, talents, and creativity they were born with.

People who walk in purpose live by their principles not, by their feelings. This do not mean you should no acknowledge or reflect on feelings as their occur, it just means people who walk in purpose do not live at feelings mercy.

HUMBLE BINNINGS 1. Please tell us where you were born and raised?

I was born and raised in Austin Texas, and at age 2 my mother relocated our family to Compton California where I got a chance to be around my great Aunt and cousins. In 1987 we relocated back to Austin Texas where I resided until 2012.

2. What was your childhood like ex. Single parent, big family/small family?

remember yourself as a child(as far back as possible ex.5/6year) were you quiet, curious, family talent show?

I remember myself as a child being very inquisitive and somewhat quiet.

In fact, I was so inquisitive at age five I wondered off from my family at California Beach and got lost.

4. What was your most inspiring

My mother and father divorced when I was two years old so, my childhood was with my single mother and siblings. It was mom, me as the baby girl, older sister, and older brother.

My immediate family was a big family my late grandmother had nine children therefore I had a lot of cousins. Fast forward a minute I now have three grandchildren 2 granddaughters and one grandson.

I remember in Kindergarten at Martin Luther King Elementary, I attended in Compton, it was Black History Month, the school was having the months history program. I had to say a speech called “Hey Black Child” given to me by the teacher. I was so excited to say my speech because I had memorized it. I can remember standing on stage in front of all the children, teachers, and parents saying my speech and I was so proud to have finished and had everyone clapping because I said it with confidence and authority. And as I think back on the words I was also speaking to my future because there was a line that states “do you know you can be what you want to be.”

5. What did you want to be when you grew up?

Because I was raised in church (7 days a week) I said I wanted to be a missionary. But around ninth grade I wanted to be a fashion model and a lawyer.

6. What were your hobbies/ creativity as a teen?

As a teen I was pretty much to myself, I found myself cutting and pasting fashion on the paper dolls, I would read books, and around 13 I began my first

entrepreneurship as a babysitter for my mother’s co-worker.

7. Anything else you like to share about childhood/teenage years?

I was a humble and quite teenager always in programs that delt with leadership I remember joining the counselors’ program for peer mediators in middle school, and I got a mini intern at a downtown layers office. I loved subjects reading and English. Even then my circle of friends was small I never followed the crowd but wrote in journals and was always open-minded.

MIDLIFE EXPERIENCE 1. Tell us more about who you are now?

Who I am now, a woman that is fearless, has tenacity, resilient, conscientious, humble, and full of P.U.R.P.O.S.E. The woman who I am today was created from being a strong single mother to my two handsome sons and raising them up the best and right way I knew how following my mother’s example. Overcoming life’s trials, tribulations, abusive relationships and marriages, divorces, bankruptcies, loss of everything. I am

zone and could not see myself doing anything else because I had found my passion and purpose. At least that is what I thought. In May of 2012, a life changing event occurred, and my childcare career ended in an instance.

4. At what age did you begin to define and understand PURPOSE? I was around 23 years old as a professional childcare owner and that was when I begin to define and understand purpose. It was then I saw the difference that I was making in the lives of my childcare children and their families.

5. When did you decide to be in the field that you are currently in?

After I had my flash of inspiration in late 2012, I knew in that moment I knew something was shifting and something in me shifted. It was a paradigm mindset shift of understanding why I was truly created.

And that was the beginning of being in the field of coaching and consulting.

6. When did you decide to be an entrepreneur?

I got a taste of entrepreneurship at the age of 13, but when I about 23 years old entrepreneurship dropped into my lap. I have been an entrepreneur ever since some business were a success some failures but even now, I never gave up on being an entrepreneur.

2. What life experiences have led you to where you are today as a successful CEO? Overcoming the loss of a successful childcare business of several years has led me to where I am today as a successful CEO. It had taught me what to put my trust in and what not, how to carefully hire staff, how to manage overpopulated business, and how to run an operation effectively.

3. What have been your previous careers?

My previous careers where a dental assistant, retail associate, and administration. Later I became a childcare teacher from infants to

preschoolers which eventually led to my own childcare center business for seven years.

I became a mother my eleventh-grade school high school year. My first son Troy Henry Joseph III. I still finished school and graduated in 1997. Three years later I had my second son. I had to provide for them as a single mother' so I became a Dental Assistant before beginning my child development education and career.

As a successful childcare center owner of multiple locations, I had never anticipated on changing from that career. I was truly in my comfort

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE 1. What is your educational background/ certificates/ licenses?

My educational background consists of administration certification, Child Development Certificate, Directors license (non-expiration), Assoicate of Applied Science Degree in Child Development, Bachlors of Science in Human and Family Services and Currently pursuing master’s in business administration and will continue afterwards until I receive my Ph.D.

2. What is your experience in business entrepreneurship?

My experience in business entrepreneurship is seven and a half years as a childcare development center owner. I hold business administration certificate; I oversaw the payroll of eleven employees. I did my own marketing, and content writing. I helped families and served my community, so my customer service and people skills were always sharp.

Destiny Walkers Network has various events both in public spaces and online for the community to participate. Our annual Entrepreneurship Meet and Greet which was endorsed my Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. Annual PLANNING, PREPARING, AND POSITIONING event and quarterly masterclasses on the power of confidence, business, and other expert topics.

2. Do you also specialize in NONPROFITS Organization?

Or do you collaborate with various non-profit organizations? If so, who are they? We do not specialize in non-profit organization startup. We have plans of opening our non-profit in 2022.

Yes, we collaborate with various nonprofit organizations when we have raffles donating the proceeds to the organizations.

3. What has been your biggest community accomplishment/ recognition/awards?

So far receiving the endorsement from Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner for the annual Entrepreneurship meet and greet.

What do finding your purpose in entrepreneurship mean to you?

Finding purpose in entrepreneurship is important.

It is a biblical application given to us by our Heavenly Father. We were created to be entrepreneurs and serve the world with our gifts.

“But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to create wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today” Deuteronomy 8:18 “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it” Habakkuk 2:2 KJV. “Where is no vision the people

perish.” Proverbs 28:18 KJV. “Commit thy works to the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established” Proverbs 16:3 KJV. “A man’s gift will maketh room for him, and bringgeth him before great men” Proverbs 18:16 KJV. 2. Why is it important for women to begin some type of entrepreneurship journey in their lives?

It is imperative that women begin some type of entrepreneurship journey in their lives because entrepreneurship creates a legacy. It allows them to leave their children and children’s children a heritage.

Every women and man were created with gifts, talents, and abilities to create an idea, product, or service that only they can do in a unique way.

In my own words PURPOSE is the ability to perform functions, talents, and gifts for which the reason of being created to do.

4. Do you agree the journey is not all roses and sunshine as one walks in their purpose?

YES, I agree the journey to entrepreneurship is not all roses and sunshine when walking in purpose.

There will be roadblocks, haters, naysayers, doubters, and a hand full of supporters simply because you were not created to be with the crowd but to stand out and make a difference in the world to the people you are called to serve with your gifts, talents, products, and services.

5. What have been some of your struggles in your journey of finding your purpose in entrepreneurship?

I have had many struggles in my journey of purpose in entrepreneurship. Some

have been balancing financial stability between funding my businesses and my home. Other struggles have been marketing both online and offline so that my market clients can find my products and services. And then not to forget the personal struggles that life throws at you simply called trials and tribulations.

6. How did you overcome them?

One of my favorite scriptures is this: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation but be of good cheer: for I have overcome the world John 16:33 KJV”. I use my faith in believing that my eternal source Christ who has overcame problems, backstabbers, talked about and the worst of all death. And it was all done so that I can gain the strength to overcome all my struggles on this journey of entrepreneurship. I must master my struggles so that I can share them with the next woman who is dealing with hardships as she begins her journey of entrepreneurship.

7. Who can you say has mentored or helped you along your purpose in your entrepreneurship journey?

My faith in Christ has been my biggest mentorship because I use biblical principles as my business guide. Again, scripture has been my foothold. One that I used from the very beginning of my entrepreneurship in my early twenties is Proverbs 16:3. If I did not take my plans and desires to the LORD, I would not have been successful and obtained the favor that I held in my businesses. He will give you the wisdom and business strategies for business, as well as divine connections, and open doors.

I have also invested in my journey of entrepreneurship with awesome mentors and coaches who gave me great resources, and business wisdom.

8. Can you give the readers some business start-up or marketing tips or resources?

Yes, there is always resources for business and entrepreneurship. My speaker signature program RESOURCE BASED EMPOWERMNET. I speak on RESOURCE ALLOCATION. With RESOURCE ALLOCATION one can tap into the exhaustible supply of data that controls the success or failure to the end of their progress. In business one must learn to manage effective business systems.

9. If you could tell one reader something on following her/his purpose in entrepreneurship what would it be?

Having a big dream in mind is not enough to wanting to fulfill it. To transfer dreams to reality takes big courage of leadership skills and abilities.

I believe as humans we have lost the facts that we belong to Christ. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own” (1Corinthians 6:19)) NIV. What we eat, drink, and allow in our bodies to encounter whether physically or spiritually do matter to Yahweh Elohim. We must always remain concerned for the health of our mind, body, and soul.

The body is made up of 60% water therefore drinking water and refreshing your body’s digestive system is vital to having a healthy body. You cannot have a positive peaceful mindset and practice harmony with unhealthy eating habits, or lack of self-care.

Maintain that balance by introducing yourself to healthy foods, a vegan diet, or adding salads to meals three or four times a week. I also suggest trying different flavors of smoothies .They can be made with fruit or vegetables and almond milk or real fruit juice. What you eat and consume now it will help to give your body a healthy longevity of nutrients. And those nutrients help to preserve the brain cells which plays a part to your healthy mind

It is important that you treat yourself right. Never do harmful things to your body. Love your body no matter what size or shape that you are. If you do not already treat yourself to a day spa, massage spa, foot massage, or the full body massage.
