Sciencish was a podcast that explored the science behind science fiction movies. As the creator and producer of the podcast, I worked to demystify the scientific concepts and terminology that often appear in these films, making them accessible to a wider audience.
The premise of the podcast was simple: each episode, I would choose a popular science fiction movie and explore the scientific accuracy of its plot points and themes. I aimed to explain these concepts in a way that was easy to understand, even for those who were not scientifically inclined. By breaking down complex concepts into layman’s terms, I hoped to give listeners a deeper appreciation for the research and effort that goes into making these movies.
As part of a podcasting class I took in college, I was tasked with creating a complete brand for the podcast, including a website and social media presence. I worked to develop a unique visual identity that would reflect the podcast’s focus on science and pop culture.
For the first episode, I chose to explore the science behind the movie Interstellar, which had garnered a lot of attention for its portrayal of black holes and other scientific concepts.
This logo was designed for a friend who also had an interest in podcasting. Similar to Sciencish, he wanted to talk about video games and explain the psychological effects they had on people.
