Inaugurado en 1861, este faro se encuentra a dos kilómetros de Cala Ratjada en la cumbre de la punta más oriental de Mallorca.

Dieser Leuchtturm wurde 1861 eröffnet und liegt zwei Kilometer von Cala Ratjada entfernt an dem östlichsten Punkt Mallorcas.

Opened in 1861, this lighthouse is situated two kilometers from Cala Ratjada at the summit of the easternmost point of Mallorca.

Casi ocho mil habitantes constituyen el pueblo de Artá fundado durante el siglo XV. Sus más de 25 kilómetros de costa aún se conservan en estado natural.

Fast achttausend Einwohner zählt die Stadt Artà, die im 15. Jahrhundert gegründet wurde. Die Küstenlänge von mehr als 25 km ist noch in natürlichem Zustand erhalten.

Almost eight thousand inhabitants represent the town of Artá founded during the 15th century.

Its more than 25 kilometers of coastline are still preserved in its natural state.

En 1915, el matrimonio March Servera adquirió una finca en la costa mallorquina para construir lo que sería su casa de retiro, convertida en una de las referencias de estilo más emblemáticas de España. El proyecto fue realizado por el renombrado arquitecto Guillerm Reynés Font y se destaca por la solidez de sus fachadas, una increíble escalinata de acceso y una amplia terraza embaldosada. Sus increíbles jardines de belleza natural eran el lugar preferido de la esposa de Don Joan March, Leonor Servera, a quien le gustaba pasar largas temporadas veraniegas en familia mientras disfrutaba de sus grandes pasiones, el paisajismo y el arte. Ambas aficiones fueron heredadas por su hijo Bartolomé dando lugar a los famosos jardines de Sa Torre Cega, espacios delicados y armoniosos que acogen una colección de más de cuarenta esculturas de arte contemporáneo. A mediados del siglo pasado, la Casa March se transforma en una Fundación para salvaguardar el testimonio histórico de la familia y su devoción por la cultura.

Im Jahr 1915 kaufte das Ehepaar March Servera ein Anwesen an der mallorquinischen Küste, um sich seinen Rückzugsort zu bauen, welcher sich zu einer der emblematischsten Stilreferenzen in Spanien verwandelt hat. Das Projekt wurde von dem renommierten Architekten Guillerm Reynés Font durchgeführt und zeichnet sich durch die Robustheit der Fassade, einer unglaublichen Zugangstreppe und einer großen gefliesten Terrasse aus. Die erstaunlichen Gärten von natürlicher Schönheit waren der Lieblingsplatz von Don Joan Marchs Frau, Leonor Servera, die gerne lange Sommer mit ihrer Familie dort verbrachte und dabei ihre großen Leidenschaften, Landschaftsbau und Kunst, genoss. Beide Hobbies vererbte sie ihrem Sohn Bartolomé, der die berühmten Gärten von Sa Torre Cega, delikate und harmonische Räume, welche eine Sammlung von mehr als vierzig Skulpturen von zeitgenössischer Kunst beherbergen, entstehen lies.

In der Mitte des letzten Jahrhunderts wurde das March Haus in eine Stiftung umgewandelt, um das historische Zeugnis der Familie und ihre Hingabe an die Kultur zu bewahren.

In 1915, the March Servera marriage bought an estate on the Mallorcan coast to build what would become their retirement home, which has been converted into one of the most emblematic style references in Spain. The project was carried out by the renowned architect Guillerm Reynés Font and stands out for the robustness of its facade, an incredible access staircase and a large tiled terrace.

Its astonishing gardens of natural beauty were the favorite place of Don Joan March’s wife, Leonor Servera, who liked spending long summer seasons with her family while enjoying her great passions, landscaping and art. Both hobbies were inherited by her son Bartolomé giving rise to the famous gardens of Sa Torre Cega, delicate and harmonious spaces which host a collection of more than forty sculptures of contemporary art.

In the middle of the last century, the March House was transformed into a Foundation to safeguard the historical testimony of the family and its devotion to culture.

Héroe de Mar

Jahrhunderts / A symbol of the 19th century El Faro de Capdepera fue construido en 1861 por orden de Isabel II como un punto de referencia para los navegantes que transitaban desde el sur de Francia hacia la isla de Menorca. Pronto, esta emblemática torre de luz se convierte en un escudo protector para las víctimas de naufragios castigadas por los fuertes vientos de la zona, así como en un ícono de las mejores vistas panorámicas desde donde puede observarse el noreste de Mallorca a más de cincuenta metros del nivel del mar. Situado a tan solo dos kilómetros de Cala Ratjada, el acceso al faro se realiza por una carretera sinuosa que está en óptimas condiciones para subir en coche, en bicilecta o a pie. Y una vez arriba, el cielo es la recompensa.

Der Leuchtturm von Capdepera wurde 1861 im Auftrag von Isabel II. als Bezugspunkt für Segler gebaut, die von Südfrankreich auf die Insel Menorca reisten. Dieser emblematische Lichtturm wurde schnell zu einem Zufluchtsort für die Opfer von verunglückten Schiffen, die den starken Winden der Region nicht standhalten konnten.

Außerdem wurde er zu einem Symbol mit einem der besten Panoramablicke über den Nordosten von Mallorca in mehr als fünfzig Metern Höhe über dem Meeresspiegel. Nur zwei Kilometer von Cala Ratjada entfernt liegt dieser Leuchtturm, den man optimal per Auto, Fahrrad oder zu Fuß über eine kurvenreiche Straße erreichen kann. Wenn man einmal oben ist, sind der Himmel und die Aussicht die Belohnung.

The Lighthouse of Capdepera was built in 1861 by order of Isabel II as a point of reference for sailors who traveled from the south of France to the island of Menorca. This emblematic light tower has quickly become a protective shield for the victims of shipwrecks affected by the strong winds of the area, as well as an icon of the best panoramic views from where the northeast of Mallorca can be observed at more than fifty meters above the sea level. Located just two kilometers from Cala Ratjada, the access to the lighthouse is through a sinuous road which is in optimal conditions to travel by car, bicycle or on foot. And once up, the sky is the reward.

Salimos a la búsqueda de un lugar desconocido y nos encontramos con tres calas hermanas muy distintas entre sí y a pocos kilómetros de Capdepera, con acceso a través de un camino de tierra que no está en muy buenas condiciones por lo que se recomienda dejar el coche en el parking de la cima y descender caminando por unos veinte minutos.

Da der Zugang über eine Schotterstraße führt, die nicht in sehr gutem Zustand ist, empfiehlt es sich das Auto auf einem Parkplatz abzustellen und den ungefähr 20 minütigen Weg zu Fuß hinab zu gehen.

500 gr de harina de fuerza 130 gr de azúcar 1 ½ onza de levadura ½ taza de agua 3 huevos grandes Manteca de cerdo Azúcar en polvo

500g backstarkes Weizenmehl 130g Zucker 1 Hefewürfel ½ Tasse Wasser 3 große Eier Schweineschmalz Puderzucker

500 g of strong flour 130 g of sugar 1 ½ ounce of yeast ½ cup of water 3 large eggs Lard Powdered sugar

Procedimiento

Zubereitung

Directions

Diluir la levadura en un poco de agua y mezclarla con la harina y una parte de la azúcar. Incorporar los huevos hasta formar una masa.

2. Dejar reposar por un buen rato. Si hace mucho frío, colocar una olla de agua caliente debajo del lebrillo y cubrirlo con un trapo.

3. Cuando la pasta esté en su punto comenzar a estirarla una y otra vez, añadiendo azúcar y manteca dentro de los pliegues que se forman al enrollar.

4. Preparar unos rollos gruesos de pasta dispuestos en espiral, como si fuera el dibujo de un caracol, de adentro hacia afuera.

5. Colocar la ensaimada en el horno a fuego lento. Luego de hinchada y dorada, retirar.

6. Al sacarla del horno, espolvorear con azúcar fino.

7. La ensaimada se puede ingerir “seca” o rellenar de confituras como cabello de ángel. A su vez, en su superficie pueden colocarse trocitos de sobrasada, lomo, albaricoque y otros.

4. Formen Sie mehrere dicke Teigrollen und ordnen Sie sie von innen nach außen zu einer Spirale (wie eine Schneckennudel) an.

5. Die Ensaimada bei schwacher Hitze im Ofen backen. Nachdem sie aufgegangen und gold-braun ist, aus dem Ofen nehmen.

6. Die Ensaimada mit Puderzucker bestreuen.

7. Die Ensaimada kann gefüllt mit Marmelade oder Engelshaar, sowie ohne Füllung gegessen werden. Ebenso kann die Ensaimada mit Aprikosen, oder mit Sobrasada und Lomo, als herzhafte Variante, verziert werden.

7. The ensaimada can be eaten “flat” or filled with jams like angel’s hair.

Durante la tercera semana de mayo, un gran mercado medieval invade el castillo y sus alrededores para celebrar cada nuevo aniversario de la fundación de Capdepera por parte del Rey Jaume II en el siglo XIV.
