Freshen up Your Site With Punchmark’s Image Refresh Program
At Punchmark, we continuously analyze the behaviors of our most successful clients to identify key differentiators.
One prominent trend we’ve observed is their practice of regularly updating and refreshing images to align with seasonal changes or to maintain a contemporary appearance.
This strategy is effective because shoppers who have previously made a purchase are up to 70% more likely to become repeat customers. Therefore, keeping your site dynamic and engaging can significantly enhance your conversion rate.
The advantage of this approach is that the core HTML and CSS of your site can remain unchanged while the visual elements—such as images—are updated. This ensures that your site maintains a fresh look without altering its underlying structure.
Recognizing the time and effort required to manage this process, Punchmark has developed an Image Refresh Program. This program provides a quarterly update for your homepage and landing pages, allowing you to adapt your images to reflect seasonal changes. This service helps keep your site appealing and encourages repeat visits from your customers.

In the Loupe Exclusive: An Inside Look at Ostbye’s Acquisition of Victor Corporation With Craig MacBean
Craig MacBean, President and fourth generation owner of Ostbye, recently joined Michael Burpoe on the In the Loupe podcast to discuss their recent acquisition of Victor Corporation. Michael Burpoe, Director of User Experience at Punchmark, sat down with Craig for an exclusive interview after the Victor Corporation acquisition.
MIKE BURPOE: So what led to this acquisition?
CRAIG MACBEAN: The more we talked, the more I realized it was a great fit for us for just so many reasons. Their product line meshes with ours really well. They’re strong in some areas of the country that were not as strong when I ran our customer lists against each other. There really was very little overlap. So from that standpoint, it really helps us open some avenues into some new stores. And I think, most of all, core values are just super important to me and I really have a good feeling about what Ostbye’s DNA is, kind of who we are, and it’s funny because those stores that kind of have that same DNA as us are our best partners and you know, just getting to know John [Youkilis] and his team and all they do, they really shared the same core values that we did.
MB: Ostbye has said it will be retaining all of Victor Corporation’s territory managers and some of its employees who work remotely. What are the benefits of retaining those employees and folding them in?
CM: You’re probably too young for this but there’s a Seinfeld episode where there was
another group of Seinfeld characters that just looked a little different but were the exact same, and that’s a little bit what I found as I’ve gotten to know the Victor people. They are just like our team and the rock stars we have. They have similar rock stars and same goals and they’re fighting for every sale for that retailer, just like we are.
MB: Will Victor clients become Ostbye clients and then they might subscribe to the individual brands under Ostbye that have been folded in?
CM: Until 2025, it’s going to continue to operate separately. But the eventual goal is to bring everything together at some point here for a lot of reasons, because having that larger breadth of line will really give some competitive advantages to the independent jeweler. Making things easier when it comes to shipping. Make things easier when you stock balance, make things easier when you’re cutting checks and terms and paying. You know, one company with a wider range of services will make things more cost effective and easier for them.
