It’s time for change. Whether you are an old friend of Punchestown or planning your first visit you join us at an exciting time. What remains the same is our aim to deliver top class racing in a fun, friendly and welcoming atmosphere with good value and great facilities. Thanks to feedback here are some key changes: 1. Earlier Start Times The first two days of the 2024 Punchestown Festival will revert to a 2.30pm start. Thursday and Friday kick off at 3.40pm. Saturday remains a 2.30pm start. 2. Ticket Products and Pricing Tickets for the first three days are just £27/€30 and £35/€40 for Friday and Saturday. As a premium sport and leisure event these prices compare very favourably. 3. Refreshed Festival Layout We are optimising the site, space and facilities and creating one great, hassle free enclosure. As always everyone who comes to Punchestown has access to the paddock and stands. 4. Enhance & Improve Raceday Experience This point is neither new nor dynamic as the pursuit of excellent customer experience is an ongoing process. The enhancement of the race day visit will go hand-in-hand with the new layout. The 2024 Punchestown Festival will take place from Tuesday 30th April to Saturday 4th May. The opening day of the festival is one for the real racing fans with three brilliant grade 1 contests featuring the William Hill Champion Chase. Festivities get underway throughout the enclosures with live music, great food and wonderful style.
The penultimate day of the Festival is considered by many to be the social highlight of the event. On the track current, past and potential champion hurdlers meet in the Paddy Power feature whilst the Bollinger Best Dressed Lady is unveiled on the champagne garden.

The jewel in the crown of the entire event and probably the Irish jump racing calendar. The Punchestown Gold Cup takes centre stage on day two. Live music, fashion and the brilliant atmosphere spills out from bars and venues throughout the enclosures.
Festival Saturday is the ultimate wrap party for the Irish jump racing season. Festival goers of all ages travel from every corner of Ireland and beyond to celebrate the achievements of Irish jump racing. The racing fans of tomorrow are entertained in the Junior Jockey Club Fun Zone whilst the season champions are crowned in the winners enclosure.

Stamina is the name of the game on day three with runners and riders lining up for the Ladbrokes centrepiece. The famous and historic La Touche cross country race never fails to deliver a thrilling finish despite the challenges of the four mile test. The original racecourse sale is hosted by Goffs in the winners enclosure after racing.

One of our key changes is to follow the proven advice - keep it simple! We’ve dropped prices and stripped back ticket types. The great news is that Punchestown remains a fraction of the cost of similar events.

Our great value ticket gives access to all public areas including the paddock, saddling area, grandstands, trackside lawns and a wide selection of bars and food venues. Basically you can get up close to the action and go everywhere except hospitality venues.
The more the merrier and the bigger the discount. If you are planning a group trip we offer discounts for groups of ten people or more. If you have a larger group please do not hesitate to contact our team to discuss options.

As always we like to offer additional value to seniors, students and family (Saturday) visitors. These ‘concession’ tickets are available on the day with proof of ID. All children under 14 race for free at all season at Punchestown.
As the name suggests this ticket offers you the choice to attend on either Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday. This ticket is £30/€35 available in advance of the event.
