Dear Racegoer, On behalf of all the team here at Punchestown I would like to extend a very warm welcome back to the home of Irish jump racing. We enjoyed a great days racing yesterday and hope that today will be just as good! As you arrive here today you will have seen that our flagship project, the track widening and extension is coming on great. The grass is growing and the winning post has been moved back for the widened track. We will now concentrate on embarking on phase two of the project, which is the creation of a new racecourse that will provide a one mile track with one bend to the finish line. This investment was very carefully considered as, like any additions here, it needs to work hard and serve purpose! This project provides further flexibility for Punchestown to significantly improve the existing layout of the racetrack and it will also greatly assist in accommodating our current racing programme while providing the potential for it to be further enhanced going forward. Now is the ideal time to thank our sponsors without whom we would not be in a position to host top quality racing.
