We're almost a full month into 2017. Has the newness worn off a bit? You started the year with enthusiasm and resolve... you cleaned out closets, started that new exercise program, and have even been nice to that one co-worker. But now, well, some of your drive to make this year different and better has faded. It takes a lot of energy to keep up with all the things you think you need to do to make this new year really 'new.' By the end of January, we're all wishing that it was not so difficult to change, to make our lives - and especially ourselves - into something new and different. Scripture suggests that it's not, though. The Bible promises that anyone "...united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new - is in fact, a new creation." For a 'new year, new you,' joining the gym is still a good idea, but joining with Jesus is even better.
