TIGER POPULATION IN INDIA

With 70% of the global tiger population, India seems to be the largest tiger range nation, and hence 30% of India’s tiger population (around 1000+ tigers) continues to live outside protected reserves, the above figure has grown even when the number of tiger reserves has continued to increase, from nine in 1973 to 53 in 2022.

The Indian one-horned rhinoceros seems to be a valuable piece of Wildlife Safari in India. This one-horned rhinoceros is found in both India and Nepal. Rhinoceros were and still are common throughout India, but nowadays they are restricted to the state of Assam and its surrounding areas. The Indian one-horned rhinoceros is perhaps the world’s second-largest rhinoceros. Spottings of one-horned rhinoceros are common in Kaziranga National Park, which has made a significant contribution to their protection.
