Pre University Course
Christ PU follow the curriculum prescribed by the Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka for both I and II Pre University courses. From the academic year 2012-13, National Science Core Curriculum is adapted for I PU (PCMB) Course. At Christ Junior College, we offer various combinations of core subjects in the disciplines of Science, Commerce and Social Sciences to meet the aspirations of the student body in pursuit of knowledge. The prescribed textbooks of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) published by the Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka, is being followed for the core subjects of both the I and II PU courses. Christ PU College Admission 2022-23:
Candidate can submit Online Application or visit the College Office for Admission. There will be an admission test to assess the applicant's reading comprehension, English vocabulary and grammar, logic, reasoning and calculation skills. The test will be of 90 minutes
duration. The test shall be followed by counselling and a personal interview with the Principal.

1Q. When will First PUC Application open for the academic year 2023-24?
Ans- The application form for the academic year 2023 - 24 will be available on the college website as per the dates announced by the Department of PU Board of Education, Govt. of Karnataka. First preference will be given to current year passed out Karnataka candidates.
2Q. Affiliated to which Board?
ANS:- College is recognized and affiliated to Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka.
3Q.What is the Fee structure?
ANS:- Fees structure for the academic year 2023-24 will be updated along with the application
4Q. Is there any Reservations for caste and category ?
ANS:- SC, ST, CAT 1, 2A, 2B, 3A 3B & Physically challenged seat reservation is applicable only to (SSLC) Karnataka State Board candidates, to claim they have to produce the relevant certificate at the time of admission.
5Q. Seat Reservation for CBSE & ICSE Board candidates, Karnataka
ANS:- Seats will be available (certain percent). Separate cutoff percentage list will be published for CBSE and ICSE candidates Karnataka. Outstation candidates will be considered only if any seat is vacant.
6Q.What is the cuttoff percentage?
ANS:- Merit list for each combination will be displayed, as per PU Board regulations (after the last date of submission).
7Q. Admission to Other Board Students - IGCSE, NIOS and Other State Board
ANS:- Yes! we do give admission to other board candidates, Principal will take the final decision after the personal interview.
8Q. Provisional Eligibility Certificate for IGCSE, NRI and Student studied aboard
ANS:- IGCSE students, Foreign nationals and students, who have passed Class X or any other equivalent examination in foreign countries, must get Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka, before securing admission.
9Q. Dress Code
ANS:- The college follows a dress code that the students ought to adhere to compulsorily on all days that they are on campus. We insist on the dress code even during examinations and fests.
· Boys are expected to wear only formal shirts and trousers.
· Boys are expected to have short cut hair in neat, clean and ordinary style . Jeans and Tshirts, Spiking, application of gel and colouring of hair, wearing a beard, stubble or sideburns, Wearing chains and ear-studs are not permitted.
· Girls must wear knee length kameez and salwar with dupatta. Jeans, T-shirts, Stoles, short kurtas, leggings, Palazzos, culottes, skirts, colouring of hair, piercing of body are not permitted.
