Kicking off summer 2024 by welcoming our new cohort of HCP interns! We are delighted to bring on new interns, connect them with mentors, and help them explore the wide variety of health career pathways. We have a busy summer underway full of learning, exploring, and most importantly fun.

School: San Francisco State University
Expected to Graduate in 2025
Sehar is a former HCP Intern from 2016. We are happy to have her back this summer to assist our team with facilitating curriculum and workshops, supporting the summer interns, and assisting with the continued success of the HCP Program.
Major/Focus: Public Health with a minor in Biology
In 10 years, I hope to continue to work in public health and make a change in the world with my work one step at a time.
The best advice I would give my younger self would be to take your time and that you get this life once, value it, and take it slow. Everything will work out.
Some advice I would give to a fellow student would be to not be too hard on yourself. There are some things we can’t control and that’s okay. Take your time and try to enjoy your journey.
There are a lot of things I like to do for fun, but to keep it simple, I love reading, traveling and trying new restaurants.
