Tradate Varese
Il paese La Città di Tradate si colloca nel territorio della media “Valle Olona” e dista km 14 da Varese 40 da Milano. E’ stata fregiata del titolo di Città il 28 gennaio 1958 e proprio quest’anno compie 60 anni. Oggi Tradate ospita Istituti Scolastici di ogni ordine e grado ed è sede della più grande biblioteca della Provincia di Varese, gioiello di architettura industriale. La Biblioteca è infatti stata recuperata da una ristrutturazione dell’ex stabilimento Frera. Presso la biblioteca si può visitare il Museo della Motocicletta Frera, con una collezione di circa 50 moto d’epoca. Tradate offre ai visitatori un interessante patrimonio artistico collegato alla sua intensa storia, oltre ad ampie zone verdi. L’eccellenza è il Parco Pineta di Appiano Gentile e Tradate, l’Osservatorio Astronomico e il Museo Fisogni delle pompe di benzina vintage.
Tradate is set in the area of “Media Valle Olona” and it’s 14 km far from Varese and 40 km from Milan. It was honored with the title of “City” on January 28th 1958, so exactly this year it’s its 60^ anniversary. Today Tradate hosts every kind of schools and there is the greatest library of Varese’s province. The library is an industrial and architectural jewel; in fact it was recovered by the renovation of the factory Frera. There, it’s possible to visit the Museum “Motocicletta Frera”, which exhibits about 50 vintage motos. Tradate offers tourists an interesting artistic heritage linked to its long history. Furthermore it offers wide green areas: the main area is Parco Pineta of Appiano Gentile and Tradate. Other fascinating attractions are the Astronomic Observatory and the Fisogni museum of vintage petrol pumps.
