Top Tips for Read Aloud Tasks in PTE Speaking

Read aloud is the second task type of the PTE speaking exam. Here’s how it works. •

The page has three parts: the instructions at the top, an audio recorder in the middle, and a text below it.

You must read the text aloud 30–40 seconds after you enter the page. The length depends on how long the text is. The audio recorder will keep you posted with a countdown. You can only record once.

Your score in this section is based on three criteria: content, oral fluency, and pronunciation.

Set yourself up for PTE success. Prepare with an excellent PTE course and practice the following tips to supercharge your performance in the speaking exam’s read aloud section.
