COMM Careers in the Capital 2025

Welcome to the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC! The Pennsylvania State University’s Bellisario College of Communications would like to welcome the representatives of each recruiting business as well as the students and alumni in attendance as we celebrate our 8th COMM Careers in the Capital internship/career event in Washington, DC. We are excited all of you are joining us for the day.

In particular, we would like to thank all of the recruiters representing each company for taking the time out of their busy schedules to be here today – your commitment to recruiting our students does not go unrecognized and we sincerely appreciate all of your efforts. We aim to expand this annual event and thank you for helping us grow this tradition.

We would like to thank our wonderful event coordinator from the Marriott Marquis, Matthew Grace, for his willingness to provide us with splendid hospitality and an exceptional venue right in the heart of the city! We would also like to thank Latesha Sanderson with Encore for her assistance in all things technical! The professionalism of our hosts and event coordinators is unmatched.

Our faculty is noted for their strong professional and academic backgrounds, and is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research and outreach.

Today’s events begin at 1:00 p.m. We will ask recruiters to report to their respective booths to meet individually with students at that time. COMM Careers in the Capital will conclude at 4:00 p.m. so students can return to Happy Valley. The length of the individual meetings with students is at the discretion of each recruiter. We welcome all recruiters to find time to individually interview candidates if time permits or to schedule interviews at a later date at your convenience.

Finally, if you should have any specific needs or questions, please do not hesitate to find us here on the floor and we will assist you immediately!

Thank you for attending our 8th COMM Careers in the Capital! Let’s make it a great day!
