Welcome to etc.venues! The faculty and staff of Penn State’s Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications would like to welcome the representatives of each of our recruiting companies as well as the students and alumni in attendance for our 22nd annual Success in the City Internship/Career Fair in New York City. Our event has grown leaps and bounds from its fledgling start in 2004. We are excited all of you are joining us for the day.
In particular, we would like to thank all of the recruiters representing each company for taking the time out of their busy schedules to be here today — your commitment to recruiting our students does not go unrecognized and we sincerely appreciate all of your efforts. Over 70 Companies and more than 370 students are joining us for today’s big event! We would also like to thank our wonderful event coordinators from etc.venues for their willingness to provide us with splendid hospitality and an exceptional venue right in the heart of the city. We couldn’t be more pleased with the support and service we have been provided from our venue hosts.
The Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State, one of the largest ACEJMC accredited undergraduate communications programs in the country, is committed first and foremost to preparing students to take their place in society as active, critical and engaged participants. Our faculty is noted for their strong professional and academic backgrounds, and is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research and outreach.
Today’s event begins with our luncheon at noon and at approximately 1:00 p.m., we will ask recruiters to report to their respective booths to meet individually with students. Success in the City is set up like a typical internship/career fair event. Students will meet individually with recruiters from different companies at their respective booth spaces. The length of the individual meetings with students is at the discretion of each recruiter.
We welcome all recruiters to find time to individually interview candidates if time permits or to schedule interviews at a later date at your convenience.
