Welcome
To the 7th annual Bulls of the Prairie bull and heifer sale at our place. This will be our 26th sale for Rains Simmental.
Here at Rains Simmental our bulls and heifers are bred for productivity and longevity.
Once weaned, the bulls are fed to a target of 2.8 - 3 pounds of average daily gain on a high roughage diet to maintain a natural growth pattern, correct structure, and foot integrity. This year we are offering 33 bulls and 19 heifers in this year’s sale. You will be able to find bulls that are designed to put more pounds on your market calves and heifers of high quality to build your cattle herd.
We hope you can join us at the farm March 8th. If you can’t be there in person, join us on DVAuction live sale day. Lunch will be available sale day and bull and heifers will be there for viewing in the morning with coffee and cinnamon rolls.

All cattle sell under the terms and conditions of the American Simmental Association. All cattle are the buyer’s property as soon as sold and will be cared for a reasonable length of time at the buyer’s risk.

Every bull in the sale carries a 100% guarantee for the fertility and structure for the first breeding season, 90 days from the first turnout date, provided the bull is managed for proper and acceptable nutritional and physical health. In event a problem arises during the first breeding season, please contact Bulls of the Prairie immediately to report the claim. The guarantee does not cover injury, mismanagement, neglect, and/or death. Heifers are guaranteed for fertility. The guarantee does not cover injury. If the bull or heifer is proven to be a non-breeder, we will replace the bull or heifer with a satisfactory replacement or issue credit less the salvage value to be used in the future sale. A signed veterinary statement will be required.
