Annual Report
2022 Sales & Impact of Bouquets sold for the Hannaford

4 Good Program

As one of most recent additions to Hannaford’s roster of donation programs, the Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good Program established itself as a steady source of community involvement for both stores and nonprofits since its launch in August 2021. With the sale of every Bloomin’ 4 Good bouquet donating $1 to a local nonprofit, this program has capitalized on the already strong connection between Hannaford and it’s local communities. With more than $159,000 donated across 2,200 unique nonprofits since program inception, the Bloomin’ 4 Good Program has already made a big impact in its first year and a half. The potential of this program will continue to grow and blossom through the upcoming year.
In July, a new Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good Program website launched offering a variety of marketing resources for nonprofits to promote their selection and encourage supporters to visit their local Hannaford to purchase Bloomin’ 4 Good bouquets.
Additionally, the new program website features Impact Stories, interviews with participating Bloomin’ 4 Good nonprofits, highlighting not only their own local impact but how the Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good Program supports them in their mission.
To support strong sales, the PSIM team combed through the Bloomin’ 4 Good database to ensure that every store was matched with the best possible nonprofits in it’s local area. Every nonprofit was confirmed with accurate information, and ensured to be active and engaged in the program. With new submissions coming in every week, the Bloomin’ 4 Good database now houses nearly 4,800 unique nonprofits!
The Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good Program had a consistent year, even though price changes happened early in 2022. The program adjusted to prices implemented by suppliers Bill Doran and Key Floral, now selling the bouquets for $12 and $10 respectively. With the new changes, the program continued forward and produced steady sales each month.
This forecast was determined based on 2022 actual sales plus 10% to account for continued growth as the program develops year over year.
The following is excerpted from the Impact Story “There is hope, relief, a future.” interview with David Celone, Director of Development & Community Relations at West Central Behavioral Health.
The funds raised through the Hannaford Helps Bloomin’ 4 Good and Community Bag Programs go to our most financially distressed clients. Often, we have clients who have Medicaid, but the copays are still out of their budget. This is when we must figure out alternatives, so these clients do not lose vital care. The funds earned in the Community Bag and Bloomin’ 4 Good Programs help these vulnerable individuals keep their much-needed care going. We are thrilled to be a part of the Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good and Community Bag Programs. The fact that we keep getting selected to benefit says that there are Hannaford employees that support what we do. It means that our community believes in the importance of behavioral health care.

Thank you for allowing Legacy Medical Foundation to participate in the Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good project on behalf of Millinocket Regional Hospital. We really enjoyed the added motivation to visit our local Hannaford and to thank managers and front of the house staff for their role as well. I look forward to another opportunity to promote philanthropic efforts that benefit local health care in the Katahdin Region.
When a nonprofit is selected to benefit from the Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, the PSIM Marketing Team reaches out via email six times before and during the selection month. Each email contains marketing ideas and templates for hunger organizations to use to spread news of their selection in the program to their supporters.
