One of the most important acquisitions of the teacher is selfcontrol; this can only be acquired by contact with the practical realities of lite.
We learn true politeness and self-possession by frequent contact with the truly polite and self-possessed; we learn to exercise forbearance by having opportunities for its exercise.
And as the highest style of government is found in that community where all perfectly govern themselves, it is the policy of the Board of Education to tnake the school, as far as possible, selfgoverning, and to afford those attending it the most a1nple facilities for cultivation and development of all their faculties
Hence, no set rules or regulations have been laid down by the Board for the government of the school. It is expected, however,

An entrance fee of Five Do11ars \Vil1 be required of all Htudeuts who have not heretofore paid tuition to that a.naoura t. This amount is all that is required during the entire LOCATION.
The school buildings stand on an eminence cotnrnaudirag a delightful prospect, near the Missouri River, on the Jine of t.lu! 1\:Iidland Pacific Railroad, in a thickly settled, hea] thy d iH trict, near the village of Peru, in Nemaha county. There are no saloons or other haunts of vice near.
Board in private families, including furnished roorns, fuel and lights, from $3.25 to $4.00 per week. Washing 50 cents per dozen. Wood, $3.50 to $5.00 per cord. Many students rent rootns and board themselves at greatly reduced rates.
HALL (AND DORMITORY FOR LADIES).
The rooms are furnished with stoves, bedsteads, tables, and the ooou:pants must furnish their own bedding, Room rent for fall term, (16 weeks), $5.00; for winter term,
$4.00; spring term, $3.00. Gentletnen rootning in other parts of , town en.n board at the I-Iall if they desire. The boarding de- I partmcnt is under the efficient tnanagetnent of Mr. Nathan Pierce and excellent whose past snecess is a sufficient. guarantee for the future.
All needed hooks can be furnished at usual prices in the village. It would be well tt.u· students to bring with then1. for reference, such books as they mny possess.
Special attention is pa.id to vocal and instrutuental 1u n8ic. Instnnnental music (extra) 50 cents per use of piano or organ. $1.00 per tnonth.
